Nice review. Thanks for reviewing in English. Audio is clear. I can see even Philippines has great passion with KTM and Royal Enfield. Love from India.
The Duke 390 was my first ever motorcycle (not first BIG BIKE, first MOTORCYCLE). They mentioned that the throttle response is responsive because it's ride by wire. This is actually helpful for beginners, because there are no surprises on the throttle. The power delivery is consistent, and it's super lightweight. Great for lane filtering in EDSA. Don't get swayed too much by people discouraging you to not start on a "big bike". As long as you have proper Motorcycle school training, you can handle this lightweight beast. 😊
@@Ivan-bg1jp it's possible, as long as you get proper Motorcycle training (Honda Safety Driving Center, Zero2podium Riding School, etc.), invest in proper riding gear. In my personal opinion, 790 is too much motorcycle for a beginner. You can get away with a 400cc, but not really with a 790. It's better to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow.
400cc bikes are considered beginner bikes, and are good beginner bikes, even in other countries. It's stereotyped here as "Big Bikes" coz of that stupid 400cc rule.
I own a 2021 Duke and I love the aggressive midrange power delivery. It rides very well and is comfy. It can be a little bit jerky at low speeds but knock it down a gear two and it disappears. Great fun bike!
Good review. The Indian model Duke 390 (2020) already addressed the heating issues by moving the bend pipe below the engine. So now the heat is all gone. But it took a toll on ground clearance. As a owner of Duke 200 and 390, I would say anytime that the KTM is the best u can buy in this segment!!!!
Do you think it'll be possible to move it back into the same position?. I had a Duke 200 and i like it's sound much better than the 2017+ 250/390. I know someone who has fitted a pre 2017 Exhaust on a 2018 Duke 390 albeit with a few mods to the frame to stop the cat from vibrating. I was wondering if it's possible to do the same for the 2020 models. ie. Put the bend pipe back to it's original position, I'm not worried about costs or Heating. Thanks.
@@deanduke1785 not sure. Even I'm thinking of modifying to put the bend pipe back to the old model's position. The underbelly is scraping in every possible speed breakers. 😪
@@KannanSanthanaRaj I think the clearance would be the only issue. and we're definitely gonna need a ecu tune. I don't find speed breakers much of an issue. i always ride alone anyways. I'm only doing it for the sound. maybe shes 2-3kgs in the process.
I read that the RC390 needs to be at higher speeds and aggressive riding to prevent stalling. Not sure if true. Either the KTM RC 390, Ninja 400, or the CBR300R. But my budget is on the GSX250R.
My first sportbike was Honda CB300F it is a Perfect Beginner bike for a First bike, its not super fast but I would happily buy a duke 390 as my next sportbike
Idk I think I’m still in love with the rc the look is what I dream of, its what I see when I close my eyes. Yea sure I could be a little uncomfortable but a true sport bike is one of the coolest things to own in my opinion. So it will be my first highway bike soon…
Lock the rear usually happens for supermoto which means you can "drift" your rear to corner faster or to change the trajectory quicker...... I am not sure because we also have that terminology in karting... hope this helps...
Good review. I enjoyed that and subbed. My only issue with the Duke 390 (the bike I chose to come back to biking after a 25 year break) is the throttle response at low revs. I think a smoother delivery might have been better for what is labelled a 'beginner bike'. Do you know how the 390 Adventure compares with the Duke 390, in riding terms? It's definitely a lot more expensive.
I have the Duke and I've ridden the Adventure, there's a big difference. It almost feels like a different engine, the Adventure is much smoother and you feel like you're floating along while the Duke is an angry bike that just wants to open the throttle and rip. The adventure is a good bike for a middle-aged person while I'm under 30 and like the Duke but not in the city.
And only in the US... You guys can ride anything, barely getting enough training beforehand to not kill yourself. In any other place in the world that has any sort of license restrictions these are considered capable bikes. They will smoke almost everything four-wheeled that isn‘t a supercar acceleration wise, these rockets shouldn‘t be underestimated
Yes it is 373cc...but on paper its 400cc.. lucky ktm users.. even the ninja 400 which is 399cc on paper had problems on the expressway because of the legality..
what if ang daan mo is not always traffic?? like predictable kung mag ttraffic sa dadaanan mo.....di parin ba maganda ang rc390?? di parin ba pwede mag daily??
I agree that ktm motorcycles is fun to ride according to more reviews out there, but the only thing is that, why they are quite expensive compare to their rivals knowing that they are built in india, particularly kawasaki with same category? Ok we all know that ktm's are originally Austrian bike..
Yes you're right.. but ktm's are now manufactured in the philippines because of the ayala group.. and because of that the price of ktm duke and rc are now affordable than before..
So he warned us not to try it many times. And i recently got into bikes. And yeah he was right😂. I fell hard. Kept trying and kept either falling or almost falling. Bike is fine and am fine too. But definitely not as easy as it looks. If you do wish to learn. Do it with a trained professional like how i did. Otherwise on your own. Yeah bad idea

i said NEITHER and went with the Adventure 390! great road manners and tons of offroad capabilities (takes jumps well too)
I think the "manners" part of it is on the driver. 😅
Hi
How tall are you and is the height ok?
One of the coolest and informative reviewes that I've ever watched, thank u for a video guys !
Just checked out the Duke 390 last Saturday and decided that it’s going to be my 1st highway legal bike 🙂
I bought one for Halloween treat
Then it snowed 1ft with 3ft drifts
You want comfort=Duke. You are young and not planning on long trips=RC. Both great bikes with big personality
Good review - greetings from Canada
Nice review! Almost autodeal like which is what I like. Cheers for a good review!

RC 390 is the best
Im starting to like this channel... nice review! good job!
Thank you I was looking for this comparison from quite sometime. RC is very tempting but at the end the duke is the best.
BEST CHANNEL!!
Very precise review for both KTM powerful 390 Bikes! Thank you so much!

Where did you get the Icon Mesh AF? Locally or imported? Thanks!
I’m so glad I clicked on your video ❤️
5th viewer and second to comment.

do some pantra-class review on the off road! Habal habal style 😁
Nice Icon AF mesh jacket. San kayo nakabili nyan dito sa pinas sir? Ty sa sagot. Ridesafe.
Helpful hint when doing reviews. Clean bikes first. Completely

Stay safe always 🔥✌
gusto ko tlga tong 390 pero dami nag sasabi wag kym sirain daw? ano opinion nyo? balak ko na kasi ibenta adv ko gusto ko na mag bigbike

Then i would go for the duke:)

@@ajaydyas4699 Thank you very much. That's most helpful.
Sir question okay lang ba sa 5'5 ang duke 390?
Even 5'1 people can ride it
Medyo tiptoe (i'm 5'7") pero manageable naman lalo na magaan siya
Kaya nga ni gakimoto na 5'2 lang un
nice review 👍, Ride safe
Autodeal = Comparo; Motodeal = Bike Off 🤔
yow, I got a question, does the superduke 3.0 (2020 model) and the new 890 duke R be laucnhed here on our country?
Cool presentation
Funny how they call it entry level big bikes while in the US these are considered very small bikes. And I’d know I own a duke

What kind of jacket was earl wearing ?
hi way legal bike with a 373cc engine? same as the dominar but how come the dominar had some problems with entering the expressway?
connections...
KTM is franchised by Ayala. Expressway is apparently by Ayala too. They can decide whatever if so.
Yes it is 373cc...but on paper its 400cc.. lucky ktm users.. even the ninja 400 which is 399cc on paper had problems on the expressway because of the legality..

Indian virsion of duke 390 gets up and down quickshifter
Matibay ang RC 390. Nabangga Ako ng scooter tumalsik yung scooter walang galos yung RC
Probably Revzilla. No distributors of Icon products here in the ph.
The Duke of Earl 👑
Bibili sana ako.. kaso madumi yung model na motor. Hehehe hindi muna hinugasan
Soft and comfortable seat is not what you expect from ktms
Reaquest po sir yung 2020 kawasaki rouser ns 200 fi thank you love your channel
Ganda nung rc 😵

I was dedicated to watching this video till you looked at the camera and said don't do that anywhere. He's not even wheeling properly...
