I got a huge box of these recently and I am happy to say they used paper tape!
Love these. Our local thrift shop actually sells these individually for $1 each, which is the same price as buying them bulk (with free delivery).

It was a very nice review, which I am rarely saying. And it is not about the content itself, but about the way video was made funny, clear and nice for eye and ear. Plus I got to know about the thing, which I was looking for. Superb!

Thank you so much for your UA-cam video on who gives a crap. I enjoyed the video and love the facts I had already decided to leave a different brand of bamboo sugarcane retail online sellers because they wrapped many items in plastic and other products had plastic containers.
So I looked for somebody who would at least just wrap them in paper and I found who gives a crap and looked you up. 👍🎵🤍😍💙😀♥️

Wonder what they used for the paper wrap colouring? I got the 48 rolls too (again really happy with them! ) I compost the core for each roll with my veg scraps so provide some dry material for the composting. I've folded and saved the paper wraps. I used some for gift wrapping which turned out great. But not sure about the rest. I'd rather compost it but not sure if the colour on the wrap is safe for home composting or not?

Loved the video, love the concept, got 48 rolls, love the paper wraping, But... The loo roll falls apart when using it and doesn't flush very well. Needless to say I can't wait to finish them and get toilet paper that doesn't stick to my ladyparts. Such a shame.

I like to watch the youtuber The Girl Gone Green, she is from Florida. Also the youtuber, Alli Cherry is in transition to being a minimalist and zero waster. I'm also from the US and find it difficult because so many of these awesome options are not available in the states, or at least I haven't found them yet.

I got so excited about this product, until I found out it’s shipped from Australia, now I’m a bit nervous about it. But then again where does my supermarket recycled loo roll originate? I don’t know!

Who Gives A Crap ..... u answered that with where it's shipped to. Not where it's from? Where is it made and sent from?
It's made ethically in China (as that's where most bamboo comes from) and from there they ship via ferry (they never air freight) directly from the production site to their warehouses (of which one is in the UK)
in my country we don't use toilet paper except for malls and some people instead we use a bit of water

My only hesitation with this is shipping to individual people must emit more carbon?
Laura Some Number I think it boils down to how you personally rank environmental priorities - for me based on my own research and analysis I would say that as methane has a bigger global warming effect than carbon, cutting down meat and dairy consumption would seem to me to be first priority, then by 2050 scientists claim that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, so eliminating plastic demand, production and thus waste seems like a good second, and carbon is also a contributor to global warming (plus other exhaust fumes from vehicles) so would seem a good third place as the impact of cutting methane would “carbon offset” your toilet paper delivery in global warming terms. But that is all subjective based on what evidence and studies you have evaluated, how you analyse the data you consume, and your personal bias etc. Putting a big order in as a local coop and sharing the delivery would seem a good way to reduce the carbon footprint if that had a higher ranking for you.

In the US, most bog roll comes in plastic, inside plastic. Paper/card-wrapped products in the US are generally considered "hipster" products and the prices are always hiked. This product is a refreshing change. It actually beats out the best commercial brand at the bulk level. I was so impressed... I bought... some.

I don’t understand why paper wrapping being considered as “waste free” “, many trees cutting off every year to produce paper with a huge carbon print. There are away better ways to wrap things.
yes BUT it's already incredibly better than using plastic or other materials that won't rot / can't be recycled
The wrapping is made from recycled paper so no new trees were cut down, and it has already served one use in its current form (wrapping toilet tissue) so giving it a second life as gift wrap means that the paper pulp has been “used” at least 3 times before hopefully going back in to recycling or compost to help grow more plants
Switching to bidets is much more economical! :D
I don't think people realize we can conserved more water if we stop eatting meat or even better just go vegan, a whole food plant based diet
