1966, I was a Technical Writer at the International Harvester Research and Development Center in Hinsdale, Illinois. I put together the parts manual for this model. All drawn by hand on a drafting board. Exploded views of the assemblies. Transmission, etc. I have some original brochures on this model in the drawer in my workshop. If you get back to me, I will give you the documentation to go with this tractor. I am now 77 years old and someone needs to have this before it disappears.
I just picked up a load of cub cadet tractors. Two 102s, a 108, 1100, and a 1450 all for $500. Even got an extra 12hp engine. All pretty much complete and all should run with a little tinkering.
I got a free 1983 John Deere 116 a couple years back. I use it all the time and it still works great. So far I've just done general maintenance on it and it still fires right up and mows like a dream. Old mower content is sick!
You absolutely have to dig the hell outta Jack. I love the spread of content it’s everywhere from a lawnmower engine powered boat to a 3 rotor rx7 and even a skyline plus E bikes and scooters thrown in for good measure.
I got myself a 1959 Allis Chalmers CA with a bucket set up 👌 Replaced all the fluids and redid all the wiring with new single wire alternator. I use it for snow in the winter, move top soil and an engine hoist lol lived in the city and had old volvos then I moved to the country and had to buy a tractor lol
My grandfather had one of these growing up back in the 80s, he used to pull us around the yard in our wagon. Havent seen one since then lol these tractors are very brute and work horses.
Awsome find Jack. When i was a kid my grandpa and i did the lawn tractor pulls. He had a cub cadet just like this one he had re did it. I had a 69 Aliss chalmers we both won all kinds of ribbons and trophies with them.
I used to work next to the old administrative building of the company that bought the production site of IHC (International Harvester Company) in germany, after it shut down :D
Ooooh baby, thats a good tractor. I have a super LT 1554 with the big kohler engine. Also have an old workhorse power king, not sure what year but its a crawler and a big time puller
I've got a 124 and it's a hoss. I love these things, man. Mine has plenty of surface rust but surprisingly none of the bolts have been seized in place.
Jack, I gotta say thats pretty cool. I restore vintage garden tractors for fun and this is a real good base to start with. Hands down you already beat ruddy. If you wanna look for a amazing pulling tractor look for a sears ss 12 or ss15. They are amazing pulling machines, I use my st16 to pull my camper around and even pulled my minitruck out of a ditch. Looking forward to future tractor videos, love this content!!
Those old cast iron kohlers are a jem. I know you like to tinker, see how slow you can get her to run. Parts are readily available as with any collector market. Unsure about the 102, but the early cadets used the same transmission as the Cub, a much larger tractor so I'd say you're good for what you're doing lol. Congrats and hope to see more content with your newfound hobby!
My Gramps had one just like that it also had a detachable bucket mowing deck and that box thing for grading and a backhoe. I so wish that I took it more serious and kept it it was in such good shape garage kept even. Bummed me out.
Oh wow it rain rains in florida when we have weather like this in the uk it goes constant for weeks and a fair number of rivers burst the banks the weather there reminds me of the weather in cuba though goes from sunny to thunderstorms real quick this time of year
I have a 1963!cub cadet original with a 7 horse and it has a belt that runs the driveshaft with a 3 speed. It will easily pull a car in first and second with traction being the limiting factor and not horsepower.
You can get a snowplough with a single rotary engine for engine swap. Vargas brothers have one for their golfcart . That would be choice, love the videos jack
I'm just waiting for Jack to build a multi engine sled pulling, fire breathing, mountain moving unit!!! Once he has to wear a fire suit to use it then he'll smiling from ear to ear. Keep up your usual shenanigans please sir
I have a creeper gear for that tractor, but a word of advice, put in a zack kerber clutch plate before you start pulling hard with it. I can send you some pics of the carnage it caused when the dogs ripped off of my 102 clutch plowing snow with the back blade! Love these old tractors!
I almost scooped a '67 123 Cub Cadet at auction. I was thinking Jack Cecil would love this. I didn't bid since I didn't need it but it was in great shape. I should have bought it, I think it went for $250
bro steal frame / an actual rear end housing it looks fantastic the way she shows her scars and bumps i love it/ year i was born 1966 im pretty jealous about this Cub,
i just got a 61 original. it runs great has a power lift and does everything it should. the drawback is the engine is a Koehler 7.5 hp. more hp would be welcome.
I’ve got a 1965 model 100 I had to replace the motor on it kept blowing head gaskets. The head bolts would never stay tight so I put a new K301 12 hp on it. Been running that way for about 10 years. Only problem I have now is that the engine revs up high when I go down an incline haven’t been able to figure that out yet?
Nice find Jack! It's definitely a Keeper! (maybe that might be a good name for it? Or #1 ? ) I have over 40 of these and let me tell you, they are Addictive!!! Just call it #1 then there won't be any question on what to name the 2nd tractor. lol or the 3rd. Enjoy your new machine!
Had a mk3 fiesta in the uk and engine swapped it with a 1.8 zetec on bike carbs, the carbs backfired and set fire to whole bay.RIP Maybe a tractor should be my new project lol
I might still have a lil tractor metal seat that has the U shaped spring on the bottom we used them for our old pulling lawn tractors with motorcycle engines I might even still have some lil tractor weights that you can put on the front ya just gotta put a weight mount on the front f your tractor lol
You should call it rusty. Almost like dusty🤷♂️
Jack can't be letting Marcus Parks from Parks Racing have a cooler tractor than him
I love the fact that your an all around car guy ..
he’s a hobbyist haha
You must be new here, jack goes hard with anything that has internal fuel combustion 😂
@@lowbxxst even battery power to yo
@@JDMz very true forgot about that.
Full restoration! I know you said you won't but would make a cool series I think everyone would enjoy.

Now you'll need to get together and build a mini sled to have a pull off and take it to the next truck & tractor pull event
I got a free 1983 John Deere 116 a couple years back. I use it all the time and it still works great. So far I've just done general maintenance on it and it still fires right up and mows like a dream.
Old mower content is sick!
Sounds good!
International🔥🔥🔥 i fell inlove with international after owning a 71-72 scout II 4x4 when i was younger...it was glorious
You absolutely have to dig the hell outta Jack. I love the spread of content it’s everywhere from a lawnmower engine powered boat to a 3 rotor rx7 and even a skyline plus E bikes and scooters thrown in for good measure.
Midwest supercub and Zkbrmachine. You will be able to find anything you want and need between those 2

Jack this is getting out of hand. Love it

I love how mechanical you are with engines. No matter what vechile it is, you will get it to work 💯.
My dad has two of them that are just like your thumb nail, live in fort Myers FL too he's gonna junk them
you dont junk those old cubs, people will buy them they hold value.

Now this is what I'm talking about!
Those older Cubs are great pulling tractors. The shaft-driven rear end is mega strong.
I used to work next to the old administrative building of the company that bought the production site of IHC (International Harvester Company) in germany, after it shut down :D
Haha this thing is sick. Can’t wait to see what you do with it
What a coincidence... I’m a 1966 model too. 😁 I don’t run so good anymore though. 🙂
when i was 11-13 years old i drove a 1973 sears custom around the small town i lived in

*What a WONDERFUL AMAZING find! Pattie is a perfect name!*
Hey Jack those old IH cubs are by far the best pullers. If you need any parts look up Mid-west Super Cub they sell all of the best parts
Once again thanks for sharing your passions with us.

Nice old heavy duty 1960s Cub Cadet
That rain was crazy sounded like the tractor was running there for a bit lol
It was louder in person!

Looks great jack, I've been enjoying the tractor content. Maybe Tommy the body shop guy can hook you up on a paint job.

Jack you should clearcoat it to protect the patina of the old-school paint job 👍😊🔥
Florida Flywheelers is calling your name my friend!!!!
I was wondering when the video would be out?🤔
Thats from when they built things to last forever instead of the garbage we get today nice find jack
Engine sounds sweet. I think it would be nice to paint it in the original yellow and white colours.
Dads friend has a cub like that. Original paint
Nice find Jack! It's definitely a Keeper! (maybe that might be a good name for it? Or #1 ? )

25-50hp is a real tractor, especially the older ones, built tough
You should speak to Jared and tavarish. Jared knows all about international Harvester engines 💯

Love that intro Jack!
You should embrace the IHI connection of the 7.3 in the GOB. A decal a least
I absolutely do.
I might still have a lil tractor metal seat that has the U shaped spring on the bottom we used them for our old pulling lawn tractors with motorcycle engines I might even still have some lil tractor weights that you can put on the front ya just gotta put a weight mount on the front f your tractor lol
That’s a nice solid find

How much is too much for a 127 tractor in good condition?
66/66 CONNECTION!
Patty The Tractor.

Also acceptable would have been a rear engine Gravely tractor.
Sandblast the rust off, rattle can paint job, and swap fluids. Should be good for another 50yrs
Should do a nice restore on it !
Ohh if it’s hard to find a real garden tractor there then come to central pa you’ll see a good bit on f old and real garden tractors
