this akko kb would be a safer option to buy instead of the a75 in the long run??? hotswapping all the future gateron magnetic switches seems like a big plus. The only concern that i have is the scan rate, as a osu! player i can tell the difference when a keyboard feels more responsive when you have to spam the same 2 keys at fast pace ( happened when i swapped my cherry mx kb to a varmilo EC v2 switches, which the last one had a massive delay when spamming the same button) i don't know if that previous experience could also apply with RT keyboards
I really can't tell any difference between Apex Pro Mini, Akko HE, and DrunkDeer A75. The only issue I have with the drunkdeer a75 is that during multiple fast inputs it stops registering an input here and there. As far as scan rate goes Akko told me this - Wireless solution, achieving a 1000Hz reporting rate even in 2.4G mode, scanning the entire keyboard within 5ms, performing on par with wired keyboards-
The mod007b-he is aluminium housing on the website. Is this the MOD007B- he PC version? If so. This should be a pre built based on their website. Right?
Correct and yes this is the santorini edition. The Mod007b aluminium comes with random keycaps too just not installed.
Is it possible to switch between different profiles on this keyboard by simply pressing a key? For instance, changing between onboard profiles that have different actuation points already. I think it's a good point if you don't have to rely on the software constantly. The DrunkDeer A75 doesn't have this feature.
You have shortcuts to adjust travel distance like FN+1 or FN + 2 for example but if you have different profiles you have to go on the Akko web driver or software to switch profile
interesting, I got extra keycaps for my tokyo version.
Hi my friend! Any settings that you put for CS2? like how much actuation or rapid or emergency stop?
Hi. Im almost sold for the polar 65 then i found this. Is it on par in terms on responsiveness?
What is your configuration for the rapid trigger? It has given me some problems even in the predefined "Game" mode, I notice a lot that the "W" key stops responding
I have custom and I have my WASD set to .2mm actuation and 3.8mm reset. If it doesn't work then try to install the firmware in the description down below and just follow the instructions. If it still doesn't work please let me know we can chat on discord and I can help you.
hello, does it have 2 action action point in the software? one at 0.1 and maybe we can change it like 0.6 to press another key? thank you.
Not sure what you mean but for example on mine I'm running WASD at .1 and my C is on 1.5mm and other keys have different value
why my MOD007B all the left keys side (Esc,Tab,Caps,Left Shift,Ctrl) is not working do i need to configure it
I have the DrunkDeer A75 at the moment, and I'm considering returning it so bad - Mine just feels gummy/mushy, I've been looking at picking this board up instead. The switches on the DD feel a lot heavier than I would like, would you say the creams feel lighter or about the same?
I think they're about the same. I returned my drunkdeer a75. I think the creams feels very similar when it comes to the force of actuation. My A75 feels like it doesn't have NKRO and won't register inputs here and there. Never had that issue with the Akko and it's way better built than the all plastic drunkdeer.
@@khensationalReviews mine has the same issue occasionally, usually with the A key. It'll just stop registering the input until I repress the key, this one also sounds much much nicer IMO.
@@spider9729 have you tried new beta firmware in their discord? i used it for my g65 and it worked great, it feels much more responsive now
Sorry for the late reply but no I have not. I do not have the keyboard anymore
nice review man. how's the battery life on this keyboard?
@@khensationalReviews must've missed that. my bad. gonna watch it again :)
Thank you. If you havent bought it, theres this monsgeek m1w he you should check it out.
Can you remap the volume knob to mute instead of changing brightness?
Hello and good day, I recently got an e-mail from Akko and they said they are implementing this in the near future update.
Out of all the keyboards you tested which one would you recommend most for gaming?
so far I have only tried the drunkdeer75, akko mod007b he, and apex pro mini.
Out of all these three I prefer the Mod007B just because I prefer 75%, the rapid trigger implementation is great and on par with each other, it's hotswappable, it's better built, and feels alot more premium. If I was to go 60% or 65% I probably would go for something like a Polar65 or wait for other new Hall Effect keyboards coming out with alu case.
@@khensationalReviewswill you try out the keychron q1 he when it comes out?
@@khensationalReviewshi! Are you still using the same board until now? How’s the rapid trigger holding up? Thanks
Hi sorry for the late reply. Currently testing waizowl lightning 60, akko mod007 v3 he, and wooting 60he plus that I received. Id definitely main new Akko 8k, I also like the wooting alot but i do prefer 75%
I wonder if I can use gateron magnetic switch
Some switches from other brands may have additional legs that needs to be cut and flip the magnet polarity to fit our PCB. Please note the structure of magnet also matters. Hence, vertical magnet isn’t compatible with PCB that only supports horizontal magnet
Try to sound test it with a desk mat too, also it sounds really clicky which is weird, the foam is probably bad
What about bright apex vs woot vs drunkdeer vs akko?
I never tried Wooting but compared to apex pro and drunkdeer the akko is alot better. For 65% get Polar65
@@khensationalReviews wdym 65%, so akko a lot bright? Can you make video in dark with difference?
Hi, I have a little problem with this keyboard. The LED keyboard under the space bar to indicate the battery level of the keyboard, and I can’t turn it off. I find that very ugly. I tried as written in the FN + space manual, but nothing to do. Can you help me?
I use google translation sorry for mistakes
Do you run yours wired? Mine does it too only on wireless but when wired it should be always charging and should not go under 90% on a full charge. Id look for a solution for you
@@khensationalReviews I’ll let it charge to see if there’s a difference, but it’s a shame that in wireless mode, the LED stays. Thank you for your help
course there is the eye on here
Hi bro i see some people claim that in salnotes zero the directional accuracy is good but it's hard to understand who will peek out first (basically if you hear two people you can locate them but can't determine which will peek out first)
Did you notice this too?
Also have you tried za12/za13? Can you give an opinion about them from perspective of 18*10.5 cm hands?
No I don't recall having that issue on the salnotes Zero. It's great for comp fps and I put it above Truthear Zero for gaming but it's definitely not the best. What dac or dongle are you using?
To answer your second question, I cant give you my opinion about the ZA since Ive never tried that shape. Maybe when the ZA wireless releases this year I will try it
could you tell me if it works with cherry profile keycaps?
Yes, the keycaps that comes with the keyboard are cherry profile.
@@khensationalReviews oh i got the tokyo version they are oem but it will still work right?
with the new software, can you do 0.1mm actuation now?
Not yet but I just saw Akko talking about some updates coming soon right after Lunar New Year, perhaps this might be the 0.1mm actuation
@khensationalReviews they've released it, would you mind making a review vs the wooting
I actually received the wooting 60HE+ from Wooting and wooting just feels better. I also have the new Akko Year of the Dragon and that one is on par with wooting. Akko might be 8k but its still 1k scan rate.
Looks like a pretty solid keyboard but the fonts don't compliment it much
Yeah, Akko's font choice could be better like a minimalist design
Your ref link is not clickable by the way, only the portion of the website that doesn't contains your ref information is what can be clicked and copied. (Just for next time:) )
any update after 4 months? if you still have it? i ordered today mine, tokyo version, so need to know all details about it :d
Yeah I have it. What do you need to know about it? Mine is working perfectly fine.
@@khensationalReviews just if any issues, double typing or anything, bcs i got akko monsgeek m1 with silver cs switches around half year ago and having kinda problems with double typing, ee ww, or sometimes its not typing, but i still like all akko products so i gave another shot to this one
@@khensationalReviews thats very good to hear, and in past, did u happen to have problem with double typing?
I did have issues like what you see in the review but after the FW everything is flawless
wtf my keys are still having the same problem where its not regiestering when i strafe, it gets stuck and it dosn't recongize it.
In the description box theres a firmware. Can you try using that and just follow the instructions then let me know.
@@khensationalReviewsty! i think its working now :D. ty so much for making this vid!
@@khensationalReviews I'm subbing right meow. My last question is how do u calibrate the switches? Like do u press down all the buttons on the keyboard?
Is the same of 7th anniversary model?
Yes , if you thinking about buying it I would suggest getting the new Mod007 V3 HE. Its alot better, im currently testing that and will review it too
@@khensationalReviews I already buy the 7th anniversary :( waiting for it to arrive to test
It's not bad it's still better and faster than a regular gaming keyboard. You can also return it if you'd like. IIRC they have 30 day return policy but you have to pay shipping.
@@khensationalReviews I get it today, testing for now... One question, how can I see the Hz the keyboard is working? I did not see one option for it on software. So I don't know if I am using 1000hz or not
I dont think you can see it without a tool. The keyboard runs at 1000hz polling rate but the scan rate is like 500hz. How you liking it so far?
lol drunkdeer, i've been waiting on a firmware for my a75 for more then a few months now I feel like I have a tiny more trust with akko fixing their firmware due to them being in the keyboard industry for soo long and akko is a reputable brand compared to what drunkdeer have to offer, but hopefully drunkdeer will make me eat my words and fix their shit, but not looking very promising :(
.
Beautiful keycaps 😍
