This codemasters team has the oppourtunity to do something huge here. I hope they nail it and it is a huge success only propelling them and showing EA what people want. I'm always hesitant about "season passes/tracks" to complete, but I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon. Would rather that all be included in a cheaper DLC pack as well in case we don't have all the time to play to unlock all those items.
I lost count on how many developers and games EA has destroyed at this point. Although RBR is my favorite rally game, Codemasters make some great rally games as well and are the only hope for a good modern rally title right now. I think this game could be good, just like with Dragon Age and Bioware. The first Dragon Age game was amazing, and it was under EA and then the following games were trash. I think EA gradually gets more control and slowly but surely destroys the soul and decision making in the Company over time. Thats why I still have hope for this title, but long term I think Cosemaster are doomed, as every developer is under EA.

I dunno about you guys but “Like Racing, but Rally” has to be one the lamest, most unthought out slogan for this game. Like 3 seconds worth of thought there..
A live service rally game is genius, that is an untapped market. It’s already a given that is sim racers spend money we shouldn’t. A game that stays up to date and changes daily can keep it interesting. More needs to be done then what they are doing on 2.0, but I digress. It’s a good idea and it looks sick, hope vr comes quickly after. Acc took a while
I'm seriously going to miss the excellent stages from the Kylotonn games. They were easily the best stages of any rally sim I've played. Nothing from DR or RBR even comes close, and the physics were on-par, if not better, than DR 2.0. It's honestly pretty sad that they lost the license. I'm worried this new Codies WRC game is going to be a massive downgrade in terms of stages and physics from the Kylotonn games, likely with Dirt 4 style physics and airstrip roads to facilitate casual players.
One thing i hope is multiplayer like dirt3 where u can overtake your oponents and friends not as ghost or just a time. This is what keeps me from playing dirt rallye 2.0 with friends
What makes or breaks a car game is the handling and steering of the car both with wheel or control pad. It worries me if its going to feel right on controller. The existing WRC games for the last few years handle really well. Hope it doesn't get messed up.
Codemasters make great games, I'm glad that they still in control on their licenses , whiteout ea sports, f1 he's are amazing and this is beyond amazing
You all don't want it to be true, do you!? it will be the same WRC Game as previous years. same graphics, recycled stages, few new locations, stages deleted, same monotonous graphics, same bad physics, lousy multiplayer, a few more parts in the car builder, etc. Engine sound will be better and everything will become more expensive via microtransactions. that will be everything you can expect from the game. trust me. but please preorder it. 😂 But don't say no one warned you. @@papa_pt Game engines can be pretty modular things these days, and engines like Unreal Engine 4 and 5 are flexible enough that you can more or less use them as a framework to write your own game logic without using the provided building blocks if you want. So, as far as I understand it, Codemasters have taken Unreal Engine 5, and then taken the time to port their handling system/engine/model (whatever you wanna call it) to Unreal Engine 5 (using C++ as a programming language) to sort of, snap it in as a module they can use to build up a Rally game here without needing to start from scratch and try to build a totally new model which can be pretty difficult in these engines.
