That’s awesome! I just played my first full round with it. One I got used to how heavy it is, man I felt like everything was going in. Even my missed putts were dead straight on the line I wanted, just were miss reads! I almost gave up on it too quick! Don’t make that mistake really give it a chance, it’s incredible.
I built the equivalent of one of these back when the Futura X DB dropped…maybe 10 years ago. I remember my golf coach thinking I was nuts… look where we are now lol
@@ValidatedGolf my first sub 70 round was w/ a Futura X. Highly underrated putter, and actually still can be found in Tour players hands (occasionally)
Funny accidental hack that worked for me when they released... I fought the opening morning online issues and finally got an order through after multiple attempts. Came back to my account like a week later when they were sold out and for some reason I still had one in my cart. I ran that through and it gave me another order confirmation. I was 50/50 whether it would work or not since it was supposed to be only 1 per customer and was sold out. It did! Sold one on ebay for $800 and got the second one for free basically. Nice deal.
Got mine with the white hot insert and it really rolls the ball well and I really like how the black and white lines help line up the putt. Do you think the white hot insert is better for faster greens than the micro hinge?
Congrats on the new putter!! It really comes down to feel. I personally have a hard time with white hot because it’s much softer and “feels” jumpy to me. The microhinge feels more controllable in my hands. But a ton of people have great success with white hot! How has it been rolling for you?
Just picked up the Jailbird mini yesterday and took it out immediately. Quite like it. Has me very interested in the cruiser version which I believe is the same as this except the insert and grip?
I pre-ordered mine at 38 inches in early July and received it about 2-3 weeks ago. By far the best putter I’ve ever used and I’ve been playing around 30 years. At 5ft 6 inches tall 38 inches was too long. I brought it to 2ndSwing in Delaware, put it on Quintec and had it cut down to 36 inches. Had my fitter install a 50g weight plug in the buttend of the shaft and he wrapped lead tape so it fit snug ( there is no weight from the factory). That grip is 93 g, plus the 60g (plug + lead tape) really counterbalances this putter. Love the stability of the head. Had him lower the loft to 2° it came from odyssey at 3 1/2° Would’ve been nice if they were numbered. Love the micro hinge face. I had an odyssey Eleven with the white hot face and it was too soft for me.
Stephen, Thanks for sharing this incredible information! I myself got mine at 38 inches which I agree is a little too long for me (5’9”). I haven’t had a chance to tinker with length and loft but these putters are absolute tanks, I say that in the most positive way! It’s incredible how forgiving they are and how well they roll the ball. I also noticed there was no counter weight, which surprised me seeing as odyssey is very big on true counterbalanced tech. White is too soft for me as well. Please give us an update once you have more rounds with it properly fitted. We love that feed back!
Thanks Jesse ! Love this putter ! I haven’t played any rounds with it but been rolling it on my indoor perfect putting mat. So much rain up here in NY, getting washed out past few weekends When my fitter at 2ndSwing golf lowered the loft, down to 2° it actually opened the face a bit and gave it 5° of toe hang. Nothing major. Yes I was surprised to see there was no weight plug in the butt end of the shaft. Love this putter so much I just sold my Scotty Phantom X 9.5. I’ve had many many putters over the years but this one is staying ! I really wanted it because inside 10 feet I was pulling all my putts left with the phantom X9.5 with all that toe hang. This one is so stable inside 10 feet ! Newly subscribed to your channel
It’s pretty awesome! The stability is unmatched and the face puts a great roll on the ball. I’m sure they will start selling them in stores. There’s no way they’ll leave that much money on the table!
My friend got this putter and honestly it's awful LOL - I'm happy because I almost bought it. I feel bad, his putting hasn't been great since he got it, it's WAY too big all around
Yea it’s massive! I still think Like I said in the video, if someone has the putting yips or has been struggling. It could be a potential option to help sort things out. I saw recently they are carrying the white hot version in stores now. I would like to try one in a standard length and see if it changes anything for me.
@@ValidatedGolfthe link one they have ain’t got no shaft lean but I know what you mean on the mallets. The science behind the shaft lean is solid though. You can also customize them without the lean I believe when you get fitted
3:06 so awesome you were able to get one! Persistence pays off!
Mine is on the way. I'll get it Wednesday.

Personally I like the paint scheme! Awesome and rare review! Way to be ahead of the competition!
Oh yeah! The paint scheme definitely helps!

That’s awesome I did something similar! Totally worth it when one is free haha

Yea I’m sure the new ai tech face is really gonna help with speed control. The cruiser will be great.
They made way more than 500 of these. It was open for pre order for about 5 days, and I heard they sold thousands on the first day
Yea that’s what I figured. They had originally said 500. I’m sure when they saw the interest, they increased production. It was a cash grab for sure.
@@ValidatedGolffine with me, I love the putter 😂

Funny you say that I switch from a phantom x 5.5, into the odyssey versa seven DB face balanced. So far it’s been amazing!
Did you build that putting green set up or buy it from somewhere?
I built it. I did a short video on how I built it if you look in my videos. Not a great video but a quick rundown on how I did it. 👍🏻
I want this putter so bad. There are only a few putters out there with this style putter head. I have been drawn in to this style head.

The microhinge is the key!!!
Alot of people love the microhinge it’s one of there best inserts!
I still haven’t got my putter yet, I ordered one through Callaway too
I know they are shipping them out like crazy! It should be coming soon!
Got an email confirmation yesterday, Monday, September 25. It’s on its way!
These Versa 380’s were limited! How many do you think are out of each face model? 1,000 each?
I’m not sure! I believe there were 500 with the microhinge face blunt I’m sure there’s more.
Why is mine coming with the white hot insert instead of microhinge
Is that what you ordered?
@@thattrillYT yes
Apologies for the late response not sure how I missed your comment. The micro hinge I believe was a limited run. You can find them eBay.
I got one white hot insert I dumped my Scotty Cameron putter
Yea I still have a Scotty 5.5 that o loved but haven’t even looked at it since I got the jailbird!

Still not as good as a LAB though.
Oh man! That’s a bold claim! Haha I’ve tried a few. That forward shaft lean on the mallets messes with me!

sorry to disagree, I have gamed both and the cally takes it easily
LAB putters I’m not a fan, I bought a direct force 2.0 with the upgradable stability shaft and it’s the least putter I use.
