@@Lunafroyo what did he want from Sarah? He was rich popular and liked well among the rich people there. He made mistakes because he's human but let's not pretend here that it was Sarah who cheated on him when he was loyal to her. then she played the victim role when it a was all Sarah's fault for making him not trust her because she was hanging more with John B then him.

@@lilvenom7876 he wanted her to be his pretty faced token girlfriend who could feed his ego amongst his friends and community. He was rich, sure but that’s cause of his mom and grandpa who were working in Law. He was popular among his friends, yes and hence why he was desperate to keep that image of being the hot-athletic-popular guy who can get all the “girls”. Therefore him losing Sarah to John B aka a Pogue is a big hit to his fragile ego for which nothing was feeding apart from popularity amongst his peers.
That’s why Sarah calls out Topper for loving the “idea” of her and not truly seeing her for who she was. A huge contrast to how John B says “yesterday I didn’t even know who you were and today I’m like… Sarah Cameron.” Topper never “loved” Sarah, he calls her a slut and a whore for simply not liking him anymore and choosing John B over him. Yeah sounds like a good man totally in love.
no, he calls her a slut and a whore because she's going off with John B. and he didn't care about his ego when she left him for John. he was heart broken and even though he coulda got any other girl after all the shit she put him through, he still wanted her even when her image was tarnished. @@Lunafroyo

6:04 this is why I really believe topper does love her. If she was really just some trophy that makes him more popular then he would have completely forgotten about her when she supposedly died with the guy she cheated with and moved on with some other girl. Sarah also lost tremendous popularity from the community from being with John b. It’s also not like she’s the only option for him. He’s a good looking rich guy who has plenty of options on the island. However he mourned her death and never moved on. This proves that he really loves her. It’s extremely sad cause even though he’s kind of an asshole, he’s always treated Sarah good. He comforted her when her dad died. I wish topper would move on from Sarah and find someone who loves him equally. I honestly think Sarah is such a bad person especially after season 3. I guess I shouldn’t be suprised that she thinks it’s ok to cheat on guys. I guess I shouldn’t expect her to have any sort of moral compass considering both her father and brother are psychopaths. I understand if she didn’t love him anymore I don’t fault her for that. What I do fault her for is not breaking up with him before cheating on him and then keep leading him on when she and John b got into a fight
she cheated on him , he saved her from being drowned , he comforted her wen they thought her dad passed , she cheated w him on john b , he lit the house on fire w everybody in there .. they are the definition of complicated💀💀

I hated Topper in season 1 but then he turned into a really nice guy and I just don't get why people hate him I mean yeah he did burn down John B's house but he did it for Sarah he helped her more than I can count in my fingers and the way she just betrayed him if I were him I would have burned the whole island.
