Lol this is a great way to introduce my mum to the show on her own. She’s into spirituality and character arcs and has her favourite characters but she can’t get passed the “cartoon” for a Nickelodeon “kids show”
So I watched this video and went through all the seasons of Avtar the last Airbender and ngl I am truly impressed and would give it a definite 8/10 and would say it's worth a watch but tbh I can't really say it's the best show of all time mainly due to 2 reasons Spoiler alert First the main character literally masters the elements in 1 episode for which others have dedicated their lives on. for example in a episode aang was struggling to learn earth bending literally next episode we see him as a pro (ik it is done to avoid fillers but still it literally felt a bit off and rushed.not to mention even the privious Avatars had to struggle a lot to master them) Second is forced love interests (ik many people enjoy it but personally it feels weird to me) Conclusion Personally I would say season 1 and 2 are watchable , season 1 for giving insight to all characters and 2 for adding azula and emphasizing the bond between Zuko and iroh but the real masterpiece was season 3 and was great
Spoiler alert I agree. the rate at which Aang's power level increases can be erratic at times (although sometimes he still gets beaten up somehow), but I think overall they did a pretty good job of sticking a balance between *believability* and repetitiveness.
Glad you enjoyed the show! I can understand where you're coming from, but I partially disagree, at least with the first point you brought up. I think calling Aang a master of all the elements is a bit of an overstatement. He's a prodigy, yes, but that doesn't mean he was a master at every element. At the end of the series, no one considers Aang good enough at all the elements to fight the Fire Lord. I will say that the show might not do that great of a job with making his struggle with the elements apparent to first time viewers, but it is there if you look more closely. For one thing, his struggle with earthbending isn't just over after that one episode. During the episode called "The Drill", for instance, Aang can be seen using airbending to support his earthbending. It's a very subtle "blink and you'll miss it" moment, but it shows that he's still getting used to earthbending and the mindset behind it. Waterbending, I feel, is the only element that can be argued that he'd be a master of. I think water is a very similar element to air, and therefore, was easier for Aang to pick up. However, by the end of Book One, Master Pakku doesn't consider Aang a master at all. We also see him training with Katara in Book Two and Book Three For firebending, while Aang does have an affinity for it, I wouldn't say he mastered it. In fact, he really didn't have time to learn that all too well before the finale, so I feel calling him a master firebender isn't accurate. The only element he's mastered for sure is airbending. It's the one element that he uses like a part of himself. Plus, he's got the tattoos to prove it. So, in my view, Aang is a master airbender; probably a master waterbender because of how similar air and water are; a decent earthbender; and an above average firebender (he did gain knowledge from the original masters, so that counts towards boosting his understanding of the element and thus, his skill) As for your second point about the romance, I honestly don't have any arguments to make. I disagree, as I personally don't think they're forced, but eh, I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea (Iroh would be so proud). He does have the potential to get very very good if he keeps practicing, but I don't think he's at a master level by the end of the series.

You should really mention that the show takes an entire season to get good. @@badolmia9867 sry man.. I'm still in season 1 ... I'm just gonna watch 1 season and wait for all the good stuff in season 2.
WHO IS SKIPPING THE INTRO??
YOU GOTTA BE EFFICIENT
People that do this need to get paid for promotion seriously
Just trying to introduce people to a great show!
I’ve been on an Avatar video essay binge. I love the show, and it will continue to be my favorite. The algorithm has been recommending my Video essays by smaller and smaller youtubers, that is how I ended up here. Might I say fantastic job. Be interested because even 15 years after it premiered, it is still the go to example of anti fascist work in animation.
Wow that is some dedication to the show! I'm glad I made it into your algorithm.
The vampire diaries is good though
It can be entertaining at times, but I personally wouldn't label it as an above average show.
@@Mewok well to each there own
