You can say that, basically everything is pretty much realistic until they enter the zone, and perfect copy for kise. These guys go into thrice their top playing speed. They move so fast that other players just stand still or move out of the way because they can’t keep up. That isn’t a technique, that’s just plain superhuman power.
this series has a lot of deus ex machina. The phantom shot explanation and vanishing drive explanation don't make any sense, they just shoved something in for the sake of it.
Neither does Akashi's Emperor Eye, to spice up a sport and input there own creative input they gave pretty much super human abilities, that can be explained through excessive training, (Aomine, Midorima). They more used it as a device to further Kuroko's character, as the way they built him up he was an emotionless character, with little dynamic. They either had to mature him emotionally, and make him lose his ability of misdirection by becoming more of a noticeable dynamic character, or lose his misdirection through becoming, like one of the other 5, and obviously they chose becoming like the other 6 as the whole show is based off flashy basketball skills, and the ensuing competitive drama.
Hey I can do the phantom Shot in real life but i don't use misdirection, instead i use Kise's technique which i shot the ball with an high arc that is almost impossible to block it is more accurate cuz it give the opponent the sensation that the ball just passed trough his hand,but really my PS is really accurate i can freely score with it,hmmn i will make a video about it soon.
