    This submarine is similar to a nuclear submarine, but with less maintenance cost, less dangerous waste and also carries all kinds of weapons and tricks

      what do you mean similar to nuclear submarines? Nuclear submarines have huge advantage they can run for very long periods, months, this sub is different you cannot compare it's made for 3 weeks missions.

    • @gonbal2
      @gonbal2 7 місяців тому +1

      No, it's not like that. A nuclear submarine has more advantages, but the annual maintenance cost is much higher. This submarine is more discreet than a nuclear one, it can remain submerged without having to surface for 28 days or more, not bad if you have several of these, for the cost of a nuclear one.@@kroooassant9899

    The S81 Isaac Peral stands as a testament to the visionary Spanish inventor who created the electric submarine with electric torpedoes - a true game changer that set a new world-class standard in its series. Navantia, the renowned Spanish shipyard, is widely recognized for its exceptional capabilities and innovative spirit, making it one of the most esteemed shipyards in the world.

After 25 years the facility must be completely renovated, but that does not mean that there is a lot of periodic maintenance, but rather that the cost of this as well as the cost of the industries necessary for waste treatment is gigantic.

    • @The0ldboy
      @The0ldboy 5 місяців тому

      Lots of movies and video games...a nuclear submarine is a launching platform for intercontinental missiles, NOTHING MORE.
      With a nuclear submarine you cannot carry out intelligence missions near enemy coasts with the same ease as with a small submarine designed for this, it is like comparing a truck with rocket launchers with a humbee.
      The function of a nuclear submarine is to stay still in the middle of the ocean waiting for a counterattack.

      @@MASC9 how would you even know that?
      Acoustic signatures of nuclear subs are some of the most highly classified info on the planet. sub's interior is completely designed to be sound proof so you cannot hear what is going on inside from the outside, otherwise you could hear the crew talking.
      FYI the human voice creates about 60 decibels which is twice as much as the noise of a water cooled PC. It'a fair assumption that military cooling tech for reactors is much much more advanced and quieter than anything available to the public for a PC.
      You have 0 idea what you are talking about.

      @@MASC9 Last point conventional powered subs (AIP etc...) are only quiet when operating on battery power, and moving at a slugs pace. As soon as you needs to increase speed, the batteries dont last and you need the diesels to kick in which are noisy.
      So how is a sub supposed to hunt and chase frigates moving at 25 knots when the sub us going 3 knots? Completely useless for hunting purpose only good for sitting in one spot waiting to ambush. A nuclear power can steam ahead without any problems and go hunting.
      The reality is that nuclear poweed subs are vastly superior to diesel/electrics, that is why the most adavanced militaries have chosen them. The only drawback to nuclear powered sub is the technological knowledge required and costs.
