Yes you can make the dart straight depending on choice
It's not just for Basque corset, method can be applied for any other corset.
For the allowance, it's going to be inseam so 1.5 inches is enough ma'am

All you need to do is mark out the holes on the CB line and create holes for your eyelet.

After taking the initial dart measurements,what if I want my line to be more than 1 and the remaining measurements is 1.5. will I share the 1.5 among the remaining 2 lines or I will share 1.5 at the first line and 1.5 at the last line,I hope you understand what I meant.?
Yes ma'am.... You divide 1.5 into 4 and take it out on both sides of the dart lines

Pls how do you mean. Tighten the under bust you said dividing your round under bust divided by 4 give 1.75 . Pls can you explain that
Underbust tightening differs...You use your round underbust circumference to tighten the under bust to give you the Bustier effect. Round underbust divided by 4....Mine gave me 1.5 inch which I went ahead to share on both sides of my dart leg

How did you get 1.5 from ur division? Mine underbust is 36 divide it by 4 is 9 🤷♀️
You measure the 9 inches on your Underbust line, the remaining inches is what you use to tighten the underbust.

For the front, the shoulder slant is 1.5 while the back shoulder slant is 1 inch
