First - as the owner of these models (and musical education), I can say - that first Panda (P1Max) sounds the best. There are videos with this model on this channel and everything is perfectly audible there - I think, that a video of Panda vs Panda 2 will appear here someday. Second - I had Shuoer S12 and S12Pro. The reason I parted with them was the obvious emphasis on high frequencies and the recessed/peaceful vocals (they are always in the background in any composition). I cannot say that the first Panda has an excess of midrange - no, for example, in Xenns Tea2 it is more pronounced and full. But the S12 catastrophically lacks emotionality in the midrange - even the cheap Warrior C2 bypass them in this parameter on any music, be it ZAZ or Jean-Michel Jarre.
I have the S12 and S12 Pro and the Pro does sound pretty authentic here - nice warmth and richness while not highlighting sibilant tracks. The Max II overall sound cleaner with better detail and resolution and to be honest, I would love to own a pair but on sibilant tracks, the Max II absolutely shredded my eardrums! Admittedly, you could hear that on the Pro but it was a bit tamer. Outside of that, I love the technicalities and resolution of the Max II but the Pro is more musical.
I bought the S12Pro and, sorry, no. I returned them. Too many high frequencies, the vocals of singers like Madonna (who is already notoriously “annoying” in certain tracks, was unbearable in 4Minutes...), and too much relegation of vocals, Chris Martin in two Coldplay tracks, where the vocals are deliberately backward, sounded like he was at the end of a hallway. The bass is good in some, lacking in others. With an early Jamiroquai track, probably a recording problem, with the S12s it was really too much, so much so that I wondered if it was a problem with the headphones (I tried with the Dunu, the "faulty" sound was there, but definitely less intrusive and piercing...). Too analytical for my taste.

I'm proud to have S12 Pro in one of my collections, and I don't think I need the MaxII.

This is the reason I sold my s12 pro - too much glare and thin note weight
