- Turis asing di Bali tidak lagi diperbolehkan menyewa atau mengendarai sepeda motor. Pemerintah Provinsi Bali mengeluarkan larangan tersebut pada Minggu (12/3) karena khawatir akan maraknya pelanggaran lalu lintas.

Foreign tourists in Bali are no longer allowed to rent or ride motorbikes. The Bali Provincial Government issued the ban on Sunday (3/12) over concerns about rampant traffic violations.

Bravo ucapan tegas bpk Gubernur Bali yg mengatakan bahwa silahkan warga negara asing berwisata datang ke Pulau Bali, namun bpk Gubernur sampaikan bahwa jangan sampai para WNA yg datang berbuat hal hal yg melanggar aturan atau hukum dinegara kita.
Juga WNA yg berada di pulau Bali harus menghormati adat istiadat dan budaya setempat.

I have a motorcycle license and an IDP that allows me to ride. I have proper gear, would I still be banned even though I'm properly licensed?

Orang asing boleh sewa motor & mobil asal punya sim indonesia atau sim internasional ... kita kalau keluar negri sewa mobil juga hrs punya sim internasional ... biar sama2 adil saja ... patuhi peraturan lalu lintas, pakai helm, seatbelt sebagaimana kami rakyat indonesia juga begitu ... kalau gak mau ya jalan kaki / sewa sepeda saja / pakai jasa supir lokal ... terima kasih

We also have a special Indonesian citizen in Bali we follow all the rules of driving in our country. Even if we buy into countries our people also obey the rules of any country. And especially yesterday on the holiday of Nyepi (the holy day of the Hindu faith in Bali), it means no one leaves the house or the hotel and no outdoor activities. Just yesterday at the event a couple of tourists were setting up camp on the beach and then caught out by the Balinese pecalang, shouting at them and resisting them. Should tourists know of the rules that apply in our country Indonesia. A Hollywood actor named Chris Hemsworth is in Thor, he always goes on vacation in Bali, always following the rules in Indonesia, especially Bali. Thank you! 🇮🇩

Unfortunately, all this is going to do is hurt balinese and their businesses..they should regulate hiring procedures like licensing and legal documentation signed as to agree to indonesian traffic laws..and applied fines if charged back to the rental companies to then charge the tourist credit cards or face higher penalties..
they challenge the police officers....driving without helmet.. installing fake license plates.. and rejecting traffic tickets etc... Many accidents already happened and several drivers themselves get killed in accidents... . .BALI has no urgent issues like this with the tourists from Australia, Europe, US, Asia in the past...
After many tourists come from Russia and Ukraine, many violations and accidents since then...yes, the tourists from others countries feel the consequences of the ban (renting motorcycles and bikes) for the sake saving lives....
