    How can people of Australia go on living when these poor people in Utopia are suffering. They help people in Africa all the time from all over the world but there are other poor people as well. Should be ashamed of themselves. Really sad

    As a British Black woman, I am utterly appalled. I wept uncontrollably at the vast unfairness and injustice.
    My heart goes out to all Australian Aboriginal peoples. I am sorry.

    Very sad reflection on the history/current state of things. I would really like to have seen some recommendations from John Pilger on how to improve things. No perfect solution and its about finding the right balance and over time taking positive steps forward. Maybe take a look at NZ for some things that have worked/not quite worked. In NZ we have lots of famous Maori recognised for their efforts from pre/post colonisations : thats a simple starting point. Teach your history for what it was (the ugly truth) and bring to light your Aboriginal heroes/role models. Good luck moving forward... (and if you have left a racist comment well you are most likely part of the problem = arsehole).

      This documentary changed the way I view most Australian public figures. Especially certain hosts on Sky News Aus.
      Same can be said I’m sure about those who view Americans under a similar lens knowing what we did to the natives here.
      It’s disturbing how far colonial attitudes can resonate throughout the generations. And how sick our politicians and media are for perpetuating them, using the suffering and bigotry as a tool

    • @WSW0424
      @WSW0424 3 місяці тому

      @@veronikalynn5084 way worse than America. Our indigenous people here don't live in terrible conditions like that and aren't prosecuted/killed by our 'justice' system at abnormally high rates. Are there still problems? Yes very much so but, the active treatment of the aboriginals is so much worse than the native american's.

      @@WSW0424as a Aboriginal woman from Perth Western Australia who's people are the Noongah people of the South West region of Western Australia which is my peoples tribal name but yes we're still Australian Aboriginal...I have much respect for your kind words and unfortunately things in Australia isn't any better even since this video was made and there's still alot of corruption, oppression, racism and more alive in this country...I have hope though for my people and the rest of Australia to be able to unite and have respect and understanding like people overseas do for my people then reconciliation is highly possible and welcome by me... anyway I just went on a bit when I basically wanted to say thanks for your kind words and respect... much love from Perth Western Australia ♥️🖤💛🦘

      @@rosiekickett2617 No thank you for the kind words. Sadly, most Americans have no idea about the Australian governments treatment of your people. If they know anything they just think the atrocities were all a long time ago. It’s time for the international community to speak up about this. Why is there no one at the UN human rights counsel talking about this and pressing the issue? It’s abhorrent and I hope more people are exposed to documentaries like this.

    • @rosiekickett2617

      @@WSW0424 I don't doubt that Americans don't know about Aboriginal issues as our government has a great way of managing the news and what is broadcast and to the extent it doesn't reflect upon them... for instance as we're the oldest living culture on Earth some of our Sacred Sites can be more than 60000+yrs old, however mining companies have damaged Sacred Sites and there's no way to get those Sites back so the damage was irreparable and another part of our history and culture, lost since colonization...as for the UN, yes they've been involved in some issues affecting Aboriginal people but not as such as to stop anything from still happening and unless Australia and the wider community makes these changes TBH I don't see anything changing even in the near future...it would be great to see our issues affecting my people on a worldwide stage for the world to see our problems and perhaps help overcome these issues but yeah that requires alot of commitment from people other than just Aboriginal people and here in Australia those kind of people are hard to find as most have their own stereotypes of my people...we can only prayer for a better future I guess ♥️🖤💛🦘🙏 again much respect and love from Perth Western Australia
