He is quiet one dimensional player, he only has a FH as main weapon, I dont think its enough to win slam against players like Djokovic, Alcaraz or Medvedev.
Rublev is like the female Sharapova, one dimensional play which is just baseline attack, but Sharapova improved by adding more spin and dropshots to her game, Rublev should do the same

Rublev was clutch in this event - so, so solid in every respect. He'll be a top 5 fixture for a very long time.
I hope so. Tremendously talented. Can he come up with the goods in a grand slam is the big question. We desperately need new faces in the sport. As much as I've enjoyed watching the 3 goats, the next generation really needs to step up. Andre has a lot of potential.
Rub is deciplined and motivated player.
He's good, but he does seem to struggle against the top players in the later rounds of majors. He's still great, but I think he's in the tier below Zverev, Tsitsipas, Medvedev

That cup went QUICK. Ruud did great to stifle team america early vs opelka tbh...phenomenal while team world didnt put many guys in from the clips i saw, it was re-washing with doubles not holding up for world either...great to see this cup though thanks to all players

See I would've loved to see this tournament in the 90s/early 00s. A team world with Sampras, Nalbandian, Agassi, Hewitt, Rios, Rafter etc...perhaps they would have been the dominant ones back then. For the time being, Europe just has the best in the world right now. It's as simple as that.
I just hope this weak era ends soon...
It would have been interesting: in the 1990s team Europe would have had Stich, Krajicek, Edberg, Becker, Ivanisevic, Muster, Kafelnikov. In early 2000s: Federer, Safin, Moyà, Corretja. Indoor and doubles... Team World would have been the favourite, and perhaps there would have decided a Team USA vs World instead

Even though it wasnt thrilling to watch because of the score. IMHO I think the argument "change the format because Europe is dominating" is nonsense. The same for "since when does Russia belong to Europe?" Well since a very long time. Russia participates in European Championships. You also dont say let Nadal and Djokovic begin with a set deficit in RG and AO to make it more close and exciting scorewise. In a sense domination sometimes plays a role in sports. Another examples: USA in basketball and China in table tennis. It's up to Team World to up their game. It isnt improbable that Team World in for example 10 years will take over the torch and will catch up.
About 75% of the Russian population lives in the European continent.
Team World got bit unlucky on day-1. They lost 2 close matches in tiebreaks. Also the team World roaster was bit surprising. Laver cup is played on slower courts so I don't understand why select both Isner and Opelka. Their only weapon, the serve is not as effective on this surface and rest of their game doesn't measure if up their rankings. I would have probably dropped Opelka and gone for Alex De Minaur Or Nishikori.
I would like to see women included in the team and more doubles and mixed doubles matches. The doubles matches are fast paced and always entertaining but most of the viewers don't know because they never see them on television.
Exactly, it's idiotic to think like that. For example i was rooting for team Europe in the Ryder cup (massive golf tournament similar to laver expect it's USA v Europe and it's golf obviously; this was also being played the same time as the laver cup). Now while I was rooting for them, i have also followed golf pretty well for the past year too. Therefore i was realistic about my expectations, because i knew that USA absolutely dominated in golf this year and they had players way stronger than team Europe. I knew they were probably going to get destroyed, but that was fine, because they had the better players.
In this case, anyone could see that team Europe was absolutely way better than team world. They had pretty much all the top ten players and most in their peaks. In any sport where it's obviously one sided, you just have to accept that right now your side isn't good enough to compete with the likes of the other side. And that fine, that's why people improve with every passing year. But don't try to change the game and give yourself a handicap so you can change to outcome.
For the sake of justice, Russian players should change teams every year since Russia is half Asian))

I have to say, I'm impressed by this year's Team Europe! I believed in the beginning of the Cup that World will have the edge in doubles matches, but boy was I wrong! Singles was always going to be in their favor, after all, they had all of their players in the top 10! They beat World nastier than any iteration that had 2/3 of the Big 3! Just let that sink in...

Actually 14-1 as the games last day gets 3 points for a sin...oops a win (edit). In Ryder Cup it's the US who are too good compared to Europe both on paper and in reality. So it hasn't been the most exciting weekend whether you are a tennis fan, a golf fan or both.
And Shapovalov was inconsistent as usual.

Tough pill to swallow for team world! What a beat down! Maybe the format should change a bit where they mix up the guys and call it team red and team blue or something like that to have a more leveled event. Not sure this is the best format since it's too lopsided and the crowd already knows who is going to win it before the event is even played.
