Voting right does mean not much my friends. As for the PR status, you never lose it unless you commit a crime or do not meet the requirements, eg. being too long out of the country. The renewal is only a formality literally 3 pages and $50 to get a new card to be able to travel, like your Passport. It is more work to renew your drivers license. Also to keep your PR status you only need to be in the country for 2 years (730 days)out of 5 years. Please get your numbers straight before telling people.
Hello bro you are okay. I want to ask that if I have been outside from Canada for a very long time and I am now traveling back to Canada through PRTD, well I be able to apply for renewal of my PR card. Please guide me..

Now this might label me as negative, but am here willing to debate with my opinion and trying to convince myself why I should apply for one. 1. Voting rights : So far I have never voted in India, so voting for Canada, not a real selling point that I should leave my Indian citizenship. 2. Certainty and peace of mind : compared to all other facts been faced daily, like no good job opportunities, sucking medical systems, inflated cost of living, high taxes. Now these are a daily nuances. Is applying for PR once in 5 years really a problem? 3. Ease of travel, travel to 185 countries: Being an Indian I have yet travelled all parts of India in last 45 years. Now come one with the income you generate here and what you can save, will you really be able to really take advantage visiting 185 countries. Yes if one wants to run away from Canada after obtaining citizenship, like to US, then that's fine, but even US isn't a heaven any more. 4. Job opportunities government: All government jobs including forces accept PR applications, this rule was amendment, not because of their love for PR holders, getting cheap labor is a challenge in Canada. 5. Children getting citizenship: without doubt if you have migrated with your family, then by default your children get citizenship, so not really a brownie point. 6. Political participation: Does one really migrate to Canada to participate in Politics, let's be straight everyone has moved here for better quality of Life and economic growth quickly, and we realize it once we hit here how challenging it is. So not a selling point. 7. Dual citizenship/OCI for indians: Yes definitely for war torn countries and which allow Dual citizenship, but I still have to explore how easy is it to obtain Indian citizenship for OCI card holder. As age passes and priorities change getting better health benefits are more important. Welcome comments which don't agree to above points, if you echo give a thumbs up.

You need to start from strach. Some cons of Canada. Canada is cold and dark country. Almost shut down for 5-6 months because of extreme cold. Loneliness, emptyness.
They can stay wherever they want and long though. It won't affect in any case. Only for those who are PR holders they should stay in Canada for 730 days out of 5years to renew their PR card. citizens have their privilege to stay on their wish outside of Canada as long as they want . Nice. I have a question, if you can answer. firstly, I think by now you guys are Canadian Citizens, Congrats, as this video was posted 10 months ago. I don’t know what they are trying to sell you on this video but being a Canadian Citizen I can confirm that Canadians can not work in the US; you’ll need to apply like everyone else and be accepted. You may be able to get a work permit as per a treaty agreement only if you are in a few specific professions like being a nurse for example. Furthermore, Canadians themselves are trying to find ways to exit Canada because of the extremely high cost of living and the authoritarian rules and freedom restrictions being imposed by Trudeau’s liberal government. I wouldn’t recommend anybody coming to Canada at least not in the foreseeable future.

It took around three months
Very good points. But, you could have added another important one. Once citizen, Canadians can work in the US on TN visa, without needing a H1B visa.
No
That’s true.
So this is why you want to become Canadians to start with. So you can work in the USA.

Very Helpful Video!
2:22 wrong. If you citizen and decided to go work abroad you have to annul all these benefits. so it does not matter PR or citizen

Hi guys, great job here. Just one comment is that for a PR renewal, the criteria is to stay for a minimum of 2 years and not 3.

Actually they are right. The rule has been updated. PR holders need to stay 3 out of 5 years in Canada in order to apply for citizenship.
@@apurvatatode9626 I was referring to PR renewal, not to apply for citizenship.
