Just getting into the game and purchased the latest 2-player set. Are there no physical character cards provided?

Sorry for the delay- have been away. No physical cards, but they are online and I print mine off. I miss the cards, but I gather they caused a major production bottleneck.

Thanks very much! Suspect markers do nothing themselves, but when you play the game you notice that they are used for scoring objective cards, activating traits and some crews also interact with them in interesting ways too.
The next video in this series features suspect markers heavily, if you want to check that one out.

Does the new starter include any terrain or anything like that?

No terrain in this one- probably trying to reduce the reliance on card stock they don't produce themselves.
