The real problem is the limitations the devs implemented... the limitations that force you to spend money. I think they are exaggerating. Even though the game is fun, it's crazy to think how greedy the devs are.
I haven't dropped a cent yet and am about to hit chapter two and this is what I've noticed so far 1. SAVE YOUR BLUE COINS! yes it's OK to spend some of those but it's not a good idea to cash out when you get high on blue chips for coins. What if you get stuck and need a fill up and don't feel like waiting ages? 2. Be strategic on what cars you upgrade TRUST ME you can get stuck. You may have to bounce around between season events to earn extra gold just to upgrade your current car to where it needs to be. You might be in a position where two of your cars won't suffice for an event yet. 3. Sure pay to win is there. If you dumped 100s for currency and packs and cars you will have a much better fleet of cars to use and choose but that's to say for any free to play games that the people who drop some money may get the better items early on.
My issues: the cars are harder to get. Well, I like the blueprint system, because it’s economical for me. But, many cars are really hard to get. Even beginner-friendly cars or cars for career mode. They are both harder to unlock and harder to max out. Even the beginner-friendly cars.
One thing for me that I find frustrating is that the new cars are impossible to get for most of the player-base. This new Bugatti is an example. I have none of the support cars. And will never get the car anytime soon. When you look at the leaderboard for some of the events that require those cars, there are sometimes less than 100 people playing them. (Obviously more could have gotten it, but still.) I think we need to release a few events that are easier and allow players with a smaller garage to join in on such events (like the new Bugatti one). The second thing is creating a mode that doesn't use fuel, but has a huge leaderboard of the fastest times one every track, every car, etc. I like grinding for better times in TLE's than getting bullied in any non-ghost mp. Not to mention if you could watch the top players, you could improve and easily detect hackers. The third and final thing, is creating an ELO system, similar to how ELO in chess works. The higher your skill level, the higher the number. Having an active leaderboard would show how good player are and could make mp pairing a lot more interesting. This could branch into them fixing the 1v1 they had made and tweaking it a bit. Picking one car for each week, removing the 2nd lap and making it ghost would make it a better experience. I don't have complaints about maps, or even cars choices. GL has done a wonderful job at that. 2:54 am about now - should sleep.. ,haha

My disappointment is the massive increases in prices which put it all out of my reach, the inability to star up most cars and the impossible conditions for most season events. I've also noticed a dramatic decrease in rewards in MP, making them hardly worth doing. I suggested to GL that separating TD and tilt (MD) would also be helpful especially in GP and MP. The increase in drop rate for these new green tokens is welcome but if I pay I want far better drop rates for real money. IF GL were sincere regarding cheats then they would change the club rewards to be far easier to accomplish since, IMHO, every leading club uses bots to reach the totals necessary. GL doesn't want to lose dedicated players but will continue to lose them if players feel unappreciated or taken for granted. Encouragement in rewards and ability to complete requirement for event would go a very long way to bring players back or keep them.
0:52 So far, A8 already had cross plat since handled by GL Kharkiv alone (which also made A9 China version where they can share features since like Gauntlet, Treasure Hunt, etc.). Also, the same GL Barcelona that made A9 Global also made Disney Speedstoem which btw have cross platform which coming soon to mobile as well in 2024. So maybe the Barcel kinda less focus to that game unless when player engagements are starting to go down. 4:01 About game modes, GL Kharkiv is pretty much added some features like Gauntlet from A8 to A9 China, Treasure Hunt and cosmetics like nitro effects and decals and Pro Glow tires from A9 China to A8. Not to forget the Jesko Absolut and some cars coming to A8 and A9 China which is why the game meta is different from A9 Global meta by GL Barcel. GL Barcel just try to follow A8 but not A9 China meta much. That's why for me I'm pretty much less play global these days except for Daily Goals and such. Let's just say GL Kharkiv pretty much handle both A8 and A9 China (mostly) now since for me, they pretty much hearing players and release such features despite paywalls esp cosmetics. Idk what happened to GL Barcel at that point instead of releasing new cars each update (incl. worst cars).
Have been looking into Asphalt 9 over the holidays, again. Somehow it's increasingly impossible to get new cars. One thing is the higher prices, but another issue is the random bugs and crashes that the game seems to introduce, once you get "too good" at a track/event and are in "danger" of unlocking more than the basic rewards. Sometimes, even completing those are simply not counted.
Here is another possible improvement - the Gameloft system keeping track of various system and mode lap records. I say this because I have had some unusually fast times at times with certain cars on Windows 11 TD (not hybrid drive) and wonder if any are a record. There aren't many. I know that in the competitions, there are the 3 Operating Systems separately, Andriod and the other 2.
The main issues that this game has that made me quit is 1. it's far too p2w 2. not enough variety in its gameplay (eg. most tracks have an objectively fastest route that literally everyone takes and it makes tracks like US Midwest and Osaka really boring to play because everyone takes the same route and you only deviate if you make a mistake which usually destroys any chance of a win. It's also why scotland is my favorite track as it has a lot of speed tricks that most people can't do with touchdrive) 3. Too competitive. There's nothing casual to do besides race in career but that takes fuel. It's all too much for me now as I have far too much to do to have this game's attention take up my time. It's why I have a lot more fun playing Racing Master and Genshin Impact.
The real thing im really want is quick race (club races is need more than 1 players, so that's the minus) with all cars is max free try (it's just quick race tho, you just borrow the cars) cause you can do practice in every track maps, it'll be very helpful, the other thing is garage players, you can visit other player garage, whether it's your clubmates or random player from MP and rival from the clash, and the most important is invite other players whether it's for MP (the league must same) or just play together in quick race
My biggest problem is all those drivers with Poor Connection, Blinking read , unreal gameplay , going trough wall , crashing and 2 sec later they show up in front of me. They should split up ppl with Bad Connection on one server , and let us with normal connection play on another,,,, or simply , Minus 3 sec for read ,, minus 2 sec for orange , and minus one sec for yellow connection ... and all Hackers should have taken all cars from them,, not only the top car of syndicate . BTW i can now play Asphalt 9 ( Android platform ) on my windows PC via Google Play Beta
Im really hoping they add ghost mode in club races and hopefully just a wish (i dont think it wil happen but) no fuel restriction atleast in club races. i just wanna chill and race with my friends but the classic mode ruins everything and before u know it the fuel of our favourite cat is finished. thats so sad
Cross platform play is what we need most, android servers are starting to die and iOS is dead, we need more players to play against, I agree with this a lot Also another problem I have is Grand Prix sandbagging, especially in SCG 007S and McLaren Solus GT grand prix, people are getting robbed of their keys due to sandbaggers and whales
In my opinion, season tokens are a big problem. I don't mind that you can get some free rewards from them, but it limits how much you can spend. A good fix is that they let us convert our tokens for season tokens, like how you can trade tokens for credits. which will make tokens more useful.
The thing I want is like a detailed graphic settings, because I am not playing on a high end device, so if they could make something like shadow settings, light settings, that can allow you to tone down graphic settings u don't want. And help low end devices run smoothly

A9 has a lot of 'dead' cars, vehicles which literally serve no purpose once you unlock them from a GP. Shame we have no career races or events featuring them.
This car game is the best car game I have ever played. The game has some issues that are easy fixes but overall, Asphalt 9 is a awesome car game PS. They need to bring back slipstream with KDS multiplayer. I don’t mean by asphalt jungle but slipstream with the long tracks. They also should bring back 1 vs 1 tournament
I don't think we really need cross platform, because of the skill gap on the console, PC and mobile. And also because the performance on PC and console is optimised, but mobile isn't optimised. So I think they should focus on optimisation be they think of cross platform.
I think the introduction of season tokens and the gradual replacement of blue token rewards with season tokens has also caused players to become discouraged. Now instead of being able to save our blue tokens for several months to drop them all on a car we really want, we are forced to collect tokens that will only last as long as one season. Maybe we don't even want to spend on the cars from that season, but GL is essentially forcing us to now because ST will be converted back to blue tokens at a very low rate. The season token change has also ruined the unleashed events, as we saw with the Imola and Gemera, where you could only buy packs with season tokens. The only people still enjoying this game are the credit card abusers (you know who you are)
One improvement for newer players would be more Tokens that can be earned because, although Tokens are extremely useful, one doesn't always get alot of them and newer players have few resources and need cars, etc.. On cross-platform, I assume that in multiplayer, I am simply racing anyone who gets put there, such as XBox manual, Android, whatever, with myself on Windows 11 and using keyboard Touchdrive (no advantage there - hahaha). I have been in races with you in them at times and others who are on Android. It seems that any system could have a steering wheel (apparently, Android can, too).
About cross-platform: I'm not sugarcoat it. They ain't adding it until the player base numbers drop to Asphalt 8 levels. It's not a hard update to do. They might not even need to update the game. Asphalt 8 added cross platform to boost player numbers in multiplayer once the player base dropped too low, so it would look like the game was still populated to the players. I'll bet my entire house that they'll do the same to Asphalt 9. Also the biggest problems are the fuel system and the blueprint lootbox progression system. The removal of these is non-negotiable.
They should add a friends list, playing with friends in A9 is complicated and messy, You leave your main Club and make a New one which cost Tokens Let your friend join in to the club and thats where you could play with each other
Lists of problems I want fixed: - In multiplayer, the game would sometimes award the player that is CLEARLY not in the first, but somehow get first. - The timer isn't precise at all. it only stops at certain milliseconds if you actually pay attention. It also interferes with multiplayer as for some reason, if you are in first and another driver reaches the same time as you, they win, not you (WHICH DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE). - Bots will and ALWAYS, try to slow you down. - Bots can reach speeds they aren't supposed to be able to reach. For example, a Ford GT bot drifting for a few seconds without losing much speed while also drifting sharply. Fact: FORD GT'S HANDLING IS LESS THAN 35 POINTS.
Yeah. So far, starting on Android 10 and above have the ability to record internal audio even when mobile streaming. But it also depends on app developer to allow internal audio in their app even the OS allow it overall. And yes, that's the problem why we don't hear any audio recordings In-game after mobile recording or streaming A9.

Here is one problem I have with cross platform if it does come out. What about the esports for the game, because then we wouldnt have different brackets such as android and ios players and windows players. If we do have cross platform how would that work???
my account keeps resetting and its really hard for me to keep up with my original account because thats where i have had the most of the cars like the appollo n, the huracan evo and many more. it even makes the club mates mad then kick me out of the club. I really hope tht gameloft notices soon enough and fixes this too.
The only problem with cross platform is gonna be a problem, due to switch players with gasless drift and Td glitch 2 op things that can make drift speed better Gasless drift is op and lemme explain, with normal drifting and punch the lyken can get around 240 kmh around the 270 corner on Cairo, but with gasless drift i can get 320 kmh around the 270 corner on cario and Td glitch is an more op version of it with less speed loss
The developers are greedy as hell. The basic cars, when you start fresh, cost anything between 30 to 50 dollars. Most events are unplayable because, unless you're a much older player, you won't have cars. They should be taken to court for their manipulative techniques tricking minors into spending money and conditioning excessive pay to win wall.
I wish asphalt 9 have new game mode to change the way we play Like the mod values, you need to play with your friend in a 2v2 race in 4 laps. For each lap, you exit a race and your friend enters instead of you, and so on.
Game loft has so many games in Apple Arcade with big names. They probably getting the deals from those and keep getting the easy players to stay and spend money in their other games like asphalt and not really getting much great new content updates.
This is the consequence when the team cant even get the balance correctly, too much stuff with f2ps getting almost nothing to do. And tons of other stuff that was supposed to be in-game (Legend Store update, example), but we can see there's possible interference by someone in the team that just doesn't like this idea. Case in point how you told about dev-chats doesnt happen anymore because Chris left 2 months after its last dev-chat. But from what i see, its the moment Legend Store update is said, they get removed. Surely not a conicidence right? Same can be said with ex-CM Claudia. She said not this year, but we're working on it. Then a week later, she announced step down from CM. Because of that, some people on the community may go too far to find this particular person who's calling the shots. to try to dox the person out. And that'll be more disaster. MP becoming only 4 types of modifiers, with others get deleted due to repetitive. And now we have these 4 as repetitive. So cross-play cant even fix the dropping player base if the main causes still isn't solved. And from what i see this, the team looks like dont take F2Ps concerns too seriously. By the way, iOS is suffering a lot than Windows so..... TL;DR, someone on the team is hating ideas that threaten their profits for community's happiness, cross-fix cannot fix if main causes is not solved.
My problem with the game is the music. Compared to A8,the music doesn't give any captivity like A8 whereby you are blasting 'Animals' and you want start knocking down cars from the start of the race. The game modes to are also a problem.
Tbh, if one day Gameloft decided to shutdown the server for this game due to...I don't know, problems or whatever...I wouldn't be deeply dissapointed or missed this game so much
So far, Switch is having the AMG GT Black Series GP and Paris was added. So I guess there’s some sort of progress but I don’t think it might catch up to cross platform. I really want to see more game modes added that are new and returning from A8. Because replaying the races does get boring and I just call it before daily tasks reset. One thing you haven’t mentioned was the Takedown mode and the police cars added. So if Gameloft does take the time to properly add it in some next career chapters, daily events, and a MP season maybe called , “Cops and Robbers,” I think this game will have more players hopping on the bandwagon. So let’s see what the devs will be dishing out for us players in 2024.
They should help td players to make it easier to switch to manual drive .... this is quite depressing to stuck in it .... years ago i was playing asphalt 8 and the older system was better like this one today

Honestly, I'm still against cross-platform. While it may give more players to play in MP, however it will have 1 big issue, different regions (like in CODM, PUBG, Genshin, Apex, and later on Racing Master). When cross-platform happens, the game will be forced to have different regions so the server can handle many players at once, but this will create a huge skill gap (for example Asian players will have much better skills than NA players). And for A9, there will be 5 different regions: Asia & Oceania, Europe & MENA, Africa, NA, and Latin America. And skill gap will happen based on the region you play. Not to mention we can't meet friends or your favorite UA-camrs to play with anymore since you are in different regions (unless you use VPN)
For Racing Master, I think so far they have cross region across server. Ace Racer is not cross region (but you can play that region with different progress for each region). Don't forget A8 which you can play across regions and platforms. If the A9 global allow cross but not cross region, then it will be like Ace Racer. Not to mention the region's exclusive events.
While I agree with what you say what's even a bigger issue is I think a player from iOS or android will have a hard time playing against a windows player who uses a keyboard for better input.

Actually, the same GL but different branch, which is Kharkiv alone handles both A9 China version and A8 so they can copy the features what they want. And even some exclusive cars that may haven't appeared to global since the global version is by GL Barcel alone while the Switch version is by GL Bucharest. For global, they may have lost the tracks in terms on vehicle balances esp if they wanted to import some cars like Absolut since some manufacturers want some economic exchange in return with specific performance requirements for games.
Yea lmao like you can go buy need for speed or the crew 2 on pc/ps/xbox and play unlimited races but you gotta wait on asphalt 9. This game is a big scam

In short, they just do the Quick Race like in Switch version and make that mode offline. Not to mention Split Screen which can play offline too.

In my opinion, season tokens are a big problem. I don't mind that you can get some free rewards from them, but it limits how much you can spend. A good fix is that they let us convert our tokens for season tokens, like how you can trade tokens for credits. which will make tokens more useful.
The thing I want is like a detailed graphic settings, because I am not playing on a high end device, so if they could make something like shadow settings, light settings, that can allow you to tone down graphic settings u don't want. And help low end devices run smoothly
A9 China have custom graphics for mobile. Idk why global devs by GL Barcel not copying what Kharkiv made A9 China tho.

@trashgaming853 Ummm... That's is separate server and the way to login to the game is different. You can keep both global and China while start from scratch for China tho.
A9 has a lot of 'dead' cars, vehicles which literally serve no purpose once you unlock them from a GP. Shame we have no career races or events featuring them.
This car game is the best car game I have ever played. The game has some issues that are easy fixes but overall, Asphalt 9 is a awesome car game
PS. They need to bring back slipstream with KDS multiplayer. I don’t mean by asphalt jungle but slipstream with the long tracks. They also should bring back 1 vs 1 tournament

I don't think we really need cross platform, because of the skill gap on the console, PC and mobile. And also because the performance on PC and console is optimised, but mobile isn't optimised. So I think they should focus on optimisation be they think of cross platform.

I think the introduction of season tokens and the gradual replacement of blue token rewards with season tokens has also caused players to become discouraged. Now instead of being able to save our blue tokens for several months to drop them all on a car we really want, we are forced to collect tokens that will only last as long as one season. Maybe we don't even want to spend on the cars from that season, but GL is essentially forcing us to now because ST will be converted back to blue tokens at a very low rate. The season token change has also ruined the unleashed events, as we saw with the Imola and Gemera, where you could only buy packs with season tokens.
The only people still enjoying this game are the credit card abusers (you know who you are)

Actually, A9 China by GL Kharkiv have custom graphics on mobiles now.
On Android platform even in legend league I don't see any player twice , playing on Android has some advantages for now ! 😄
One improvement for newer players would be more Tokens that can be earned because, although Tokens are extremely useful, one doesn't always get alot of them and newer players have few resources and need cars, etc..
On cross-platform, I assume that in multiplayer, I am simply racing anyone who gets put there, such as XBox manual, Android, whatever, with myself on Windows 11 and using keyboard Touchdrive (no advantage there - hahaha).
I have been in races with you in them at times and others who are on Android.
It seems that any system could have a steering wheel (apparently, Android can, too).
About cross-platform: I'm not sugarcoat it. They ain't adding it until the player base numbers drop to Asphalt 8 levels.
It's not a hard update to do. They might not even need to update the game.
Asphalt 8 added cross platform to boost player numbers in multiplayer once the player base dropped too low, so it would look like the game was still populated to the players.
I'll bet my entire house that they'll do the same to Asphalt 9.
Also the biggest problems are the fuel system and the blueprint lootbox progression system. The removal of these is non-negotiable.

Lists of problems I want fixed:
- In multiplayer, the game would sometimes award the player that is CLEARLY not in the first, but somehow get first.
- The timer isn't precise at all. it only stops at certain milliseconds if you actually pay attention. It also interferes with multiplayer as for some reason, if you are in first and another driver reaches the same time as you, they win, not you (WHICH DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE).
- Bots will and ALWAYS, try to slow you down.
- Bots can reach speeds they aren't supposed to be able to reach. For example, a Ford GT bot drifting for a few seconds without losing much speed while also drifting sharply. Fact: FORD GT'S HANDLING IS LESS THAN 35 POINTS.
The biggest problem in Asphalt 9 is that the game internal sound doesn't record when we do video recording.
Yeah. So far, starting on Android 10 and above have the ability to record internal audio even when mobile streaming. But it also depends on app developer to allow internal audio in their app even the OS allow it overall. And yes, that's the problem why we don't hear any audio recordings In-game after mobile recording or streaming A9.

Here is one problem I have with cross platform if it does come out. What about the esports for the game, because then we wouldnt have different brackets such as android and ios players and windows players. If we do have cross platform how would that work???

my account keeps resetting and its really hard for me to keep up with my original account because thats where i have had the most of the cars like the appollo n, the huracan evo and many more. it even makes the club mates mad then kick me out of the club. I really hope tht gameloft notices soon enough and fixes this too.
The only problem with cross platform is gonna be a problem, due to switch players with gasless drift and Td glitch

Gasless drift is op and lemme explain, with normal drifting and punch the lyken can get around 240 kmh around the 270 corner on Cairo, but with gasless drift i can get 320 kmh around the 270 corner on cario and Td glitch is an more op version of it with less speed loss
The developers are greedy as hell. The basic cars, when you start fresh, cost anything between 30 to 50 dollars. Most events are unplayable because, unless you're a much older player, you won't have cars. They should be taken to court for their manipulative techniques tricking minors into spending money and conditioning excessive pay to win wall.
I wish asphalt 9 have new game mode to change the way we play
Like the mod values, you need to play with your friend in a 2v2 race in 4 laps. For each lap, you exit a race and your friend enters instead of you, and so on.

Game loft has so many games in Apple Arcade with big names. They probably getting the deals from those and keep getting the easy players to stay and spend money in their other games like asphalt and not really getting much great new content updates.
This is the consequence when the team cant even get the balance correctly, too much stuff with f2ps getting almost nothing to do. And tons of other stuff that was supposed to be in-game (Legend Store update, example), but we can see there's possible interference by someone in the team that just doesn't like this idea.
Case in point how you told about dev-chats doesnt happen anymore because Chris left 2 months after its last dev-chat.
But from what i see, its the moment Legend Store update is said, they get removed. Surely not a conicidence right?
Same can be said with ex-CM Claudia. She said not this year, but we're working on it. Then a week later, she announced step down from CM.
Because of that, some people on the community may go too far to find this particular person who's calling the shots. to try to dox the person out. And that'll be more disaster.
MP becoming only 4 types of modifiers, with others get deleted due to repetitive. And now we have these 4 as repetitive.
So cross-play cant even fix the dropping player base if the main causes still isn't solved.
And from what i see this, the team looks like dont take F2Ps concerns too seriously.
By the way, iOS is suffering a lot than Windows so.....
TL;DR, someone on the team is hating ideas that threaten their profits for community's happiness, cross-fix cannot fix if main causes is not solved.
My problem with the game is the music. Compared to A8,the music doesn't give any captivity like A8 whereby you are blasting 'Animals' and you want start knocking down cars from the start of the race. The game modes to are also a problem.
Tbh, if one day Gameloft decided to shutdown the server for this game due to...I don't know, problems or whatever...I wouldn't be deeply dissapointed or missed this game so much

So far, Switch is having the AMG GT Black Series GP and Paris was added. So I guess there’s some sort of progress but I don’t think it might catch up to cross platform. I really want to see more game modes added that are new and returning from A8. Because replaying the races does get boring and I just call it before daily tasks reset. One thing you haven’t mentioned was the Takedown mode and the police cars added. So if Gameloft does take the time to properly add it in some next career chapters, daily events, and a MP season maybe called , “Cops and Robbers,” I think this game will have more players hopping on the bandwagon. So let’s see what the devs will be dishing out for us players in 2024.
Well. At least they provide two offline modes esp Quick Race which you can replay your best run without fuels and offline playablility.

Honestly, I'm still against cross-platform. While it may give more players to play in MP, however it will have 1 big issue, different regions (like in CODM, PUBG, Genshin, Apex, and later on Racing Master). When cross-platform happens, the game will be forced to have different regions so the server can handle many players at once, but this will create a huge skill gap (for example Asian players will have much better skills than NA players). And for A9, there will be 5 different regions: Asia & Oceania, Europe & MENA, Africa, NA, and Latin America. And skill gap will happen based on the region you play. Not to mention we can't meet friends or your favorite UA-camrs to play with anymore since you are in different regions (unless you use VPN)
For Racing Master, I think so far they have cross region across server. Ace Racer is not cross region (but you can play that region with different progress for each region). Don't forget A8 which you can play across regions and platforms.
If the A9 global allow cross but not cross region, then it will be like Ace Racer. Not to mention the region's exclusive events.
While I agree with what you say what's even a bigger issue is I think a player from iOS or android will have a hard time playing against a windows player who uses a keyboard for better input.

the maps cars are nowhere balanced has too much RNG you can be on vaanda and get himalayas and know you are screwed and you can have the other way around which makes it less fun and more fustrating they either rework all the maps so they wont give a unnesccery advantage or let players chose the car they wanna use like a car pool system when the race start it tells you to pick your car while the race loads it gives more varity more options less fustation now its just its ghost use f5 and its classic use rimac and it should never be the case

Actually, the same GL but different branch, which is Kharkiv alone handles both A9 China version and A8 so they can copy the features what they want. And even some exclusive cars that may haven't appeared to global since the global version is by GL Barcel alone while the Switch version is by GL Bucharest. For global, they may have lost the tracks in terms on vehicle balances esp if they wanted to import some cars like Absolut since some manufacturers want some economic exchange in return with specific performance requirements for games.
