I want to recomend “Be the Light”. Is a song made to encourage and help overcome the wounds of Japanese people who suffered from the devastating earthquake in 2011. The lyrics of this song is written in full English. The song's message is about of not giving up in our life no matter what, and be the light to others to give them courage.

The day I discovered One Ok Rock, The day I started to love music
Goosebumps everytime I watched this performance esp. on the latter part of the song. Taka really brings out that emotion that can pull you into something. A great frontman indeed.
The song "Renegades" made with Ed also has lyrics that express the present era.Among the popular songs in Japan, the lyrics of the song "Be the light" at the time of the earthquake are also wonderful, English lyrics.

I am so lucky because I am scheduled to fly to LA for a week from Portugal to table at an art convention since last year and One Ok Rock just announced their North American tour yesterday and it is during the SAME WEEK. I was shocked by the coincidence and was able to get the ticket to their concert 🥲 Their live performances are the best!!! It’s one of the best experiences being one of the crowd in a one ok rock concerts

One Ok Rock is my favorite band and their songs and lyrics have literally given me the words to my feelings and my emotions when I couldn't find them myself. And they have done so multiple times.
Last dance acoustic live at Tokyo dome is one of my favorite songs. Complete silence in a packed stadium because everyone is captivated.
As a fan of ONE OK ROCK and as Japanese, I am very happy that their songs are moving the hearts of the people of the world in this way.

One Ok Rock really know how to write beautiful lyrics and it's really hard to find a song that can't go through your heart! Songs that I would like to recommend, except for the ones already recommend by others of course, are "grow old and die young" and "broken heart of gold" I think they can both suit your taste! And if you want to check out a song a little bit more rock then maybe you should try with "I was king" or "eye of the storm" they will not disappoint you!

I love that you are on your way to experiencing the entire ONE OK ROCK experience...they have great emotional songs, and great rock as well. Most people are recommending only the ballads, the emotional songs, make sure you check out some of their rock too, variety might be the best way to do it; recommending "I was King - orchestra version live" "Mighty Long Fall at yokohama" "Dreamer" and "Juvenile"
Taka is amazing and can do anything. They did an acoustic live concert that was streamed and one of their songs they turned into a jazz song. It was like hearing all brand new songs of songs I was used to because they changed the sound so much. I cried so much I was so happy watching it lol 😆

First of all, I am impressed that you can pronounce correctly what you call ONE OK ROCK.
This is the first time I have heard someone outside of Japan, especially outside of the Asian race, call it correctly.
Their music is really great, but it's a shame that they are often not known in the US. Please continue to tell us how great they are. Your reactions are so wonderful. I, for one, replay your ONE OK ROCK reactions over and over again.
On the contrary of many, before listening to the beginning, cry out, etc... I would recommend :
"We are"
But the accoustic one.
Why though ? Because you'll be able to see the difference between one "normal" song of the band and one accoustic, and see that the difference is not only in the instrument.
For me, accoustic songs are just as beautiful as the original one, it is in the same time similar and totally different than the original one.

Renegades es una excelente canción, te la recomiendo mucho. Hace dos años tuve la oportunidad de ver 3 conciertos enteros de la banda por su canal oficial y Oh por Dios! I really appreciate you reacting to lesser known songs or performances. I think you got the right ones to start off! When you mentioned nowadays it's not usual to have emotional lyrics in rock songs I realized that's one of ONE OK ROCK's strong points musically. It does show up in older songs though, like Nobody's Home (heavily recommended). The entire Zeitakubyou album, their debut, talks about teenagers and finds strength in the opposites. For example, Naihi Shinsho is a darker sounding track, opposing to Yokubou ni Michita Seinendan or Yume Yume that are lighter and positive. Other emotional songs are Hard to Love, Good Goodbye, Heartache, Wasted Nights, Broken Heart of Gold.
If you want something that hypes you up definetely go for Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer.

May I suggest the "Takes what you want" from 2017 Ambitious concert live? It's really great, the best part during the live is have a little bit of surprise, and this kind of action make the performance so match with the lyrics.

One of the MAIN REASONS why I LOVE ONE OK ROCK is that they make GOOD MUSIC which TOUCHES YOUR SOUL. Not just you perform the music with great skills, skills matters but GOOD MUSIC will TOUCH YOUR HEART, making you FEEL emotions STRAIGHTLY and you KNOW the artist play it WITH ALL THEIR HEART AND SOUL. It doesn't just needs practice to do so, it's like a TALENT that's born within your heart. Hard to describe it but not EVERY MUSICIAN can do so. ONE OK ROCK is without a doubt GOOD ARTIST.

I just subscribed because I LOVE OOR. I’m hoping I can see them in Denver this Oct. You can pick any OOR song, and your cannot go wrong. But If I had to chose your next one, I’d have to suggest, Be the Light, C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h. , or Clock Strikes. If you want a crying ballad, I would say, Heartache or Wherever you are. Excited for you journey!
