These interviews are amazing. I don't see how anyone who is paying attention could not just love this guy. He is amazingly articulate, intelligent, insightful, and as others have said, beautiful from the inside out. Wow!!
So hard to imagine him as an ugly duckling, he truly is beautiful on the inside and the outside.
That is why so many ppl actually listen to him. The amazing thing is he affects both sexes, no matter what walk of life they come from !! That in itself is a wonderful achievement, and his successes just keep piling up .... looks like you made it ADAM !!!!
With all of this, and him telling us about his life experiences and how much some stuff affected him, it helps gain a much better perspective of who he is - and for some reason, I love him even more. You're beautiful Adam, inside and out!

hey, but everybody goes through that at one time or another. i went through that, where i was kinda fat and ugly in school, elementary school, that is and i wore ugly glasses and was picked on. but hey, i grew out of that, i see myself as a better and more loving person because of that and i'm sure adam feels the same way.

I was surprised that the media took this and said that he was using being fat as a reason to "act out". Who gets that from what he said?? He is saying he figured out that beauty comes from inside out; how amazing for anyone to really get that and be able to live!! It shows in his self confidence and how well spoken and open he is.

adam has helped so many people and i'm not just talking about the gay community...though obviously he's reached out to them but, he's shown people, kids, teens that its ok to be yourself and be you...do you, not anyone else and i find that very important in an artist...especially nowadays....thats also why i like lady gaga...adam and gaga are without a doubt my fav artists of our time...

I have to admit, I'm extremely confused by negative comments on this video - or any video, really. If you don't like Adam, why take the time out of your life to A) watch him and B) comment negatively about him? Isn't it so much better to watch what brings you joy? Life is too short.
I think he wasn't hanging around the right people if he had confidence issues. Either 250 lbs or 50 lbs either way he's amazingly talented, funny, beautiful, and he seems like he's down to earth. He has so much support for everything he does and I don't think it should matter what he looks like. He's gorgeous either way.

The good news is that times are changing and what seems so outrageous today, will be nothing soon enough. People use to be very offended by sexy women too. Marlene Dietrich was so frightening to people in her time, but now women can be sexy. Opening our minds a little is painful, but it is a good thing, Adam is gorgeous and intriging so he draws people to look and it opens minds slowly but surely.

Sorry, I just can't help comparing him to Elvis, not his actual singing voice of course, but so many other qualities, like humble yet having a sense of who he is, and different from anyone else. And in this video, without his usual heavy makeup and the way his hair is more tousled, this is the look he should always have. I think it would help his career, everyone wants another Elvis, he left us too soon.

MTV was hugely influential and responsible for the way music is viewed and listened to today---if you were not there pre-MTV, or too young to rmember, its to long and complicated to explain....

I think it has more to do with the fact that it's who YOU are, how you're wired. You would've ended up straight if you were raised by a single parent or by two dads. I had a mother and a father too and THOUGHT that was they way it should be until I realized that it didn't work for me. What I learned from my parents instead was to have a loving, committed relationship. I just happen to have it with another woman.

Straights wear their sexuality on their sleeve too, you are just use to it so you don't notice it. For a gay person, it stands out like big time. Really it comes down to learning about each other and stop being so paranoid. It takes time but the door are blown off this gig and people are going to have to face their prejudices and work through them. Ten years from now, everything will look different. Adam's candor, insightfulness and being less judgmental shows more than anything..
@JBernard79 that doesn't make sense. my brother who is very very straight wore concealer. the question is, why do we accept one gender wearing makeup and not another? why is it almost expected of women and totally ridiculed in men? where did that come from? the interviewer has a point when he says we all wear some kind of drag.

For example, At a local fast food place, there was this gay man who would work the window. He would wear blush and mascara. I find that offensive. having your kids ask why a man is wearing makeup is ridiculous.
