- Tornado damage from a tornado that struck the town of Greenfield, Iowa, on May 21, 2024. Drone video shows the powerful damage, such as debarked trees, and massive wind turbines on fire. Also, several angles of the different tornadoes from the Iowa tornado outbreak.

Seeing the scale of the wind turbine's tubular steel columns, relative to the set of stairs at their base (and just how easily those columns buckled under the winds) then seeing Reed's drone footage of the event, you get a mind blowing sense of the tornado's size and ferocity.
Preliminary data states "at least" EF3 damage, with more engineering investigation to carry out over the coming days.
It was a beast of a storm. I have a lot of sympathy for the people involved who've now got to rebuild their homes and lives ☹️
Great work by Brandon and WXChasing yet again, to capture these early recordings for history's sake.
Yes. Watching Reed live I did not have a sense of the size and structural aspect.
I mean, I See them on my way to Martha's Vineyard and they do look huge, but somehow in the moment they felt smaller. And embarrassingly, I hadn't thought of them starting fires. Watching Reed live I figured it was lightening, which was extra unscientific because of the lack of.
This is Excellent footage. Greatly appreciate your perspective and skill❤❤
Crazy we just watched from home and meanwhile ppls
Lives change at same time sad
So sad...my best to the people of Iowa.
Tbh those windows turbines are a blight upon the Midwesterner sky
I noticed a National Guard General on a news cast from Greenfield. He was standing with the various authorities. He never made a statement or said anything. I served for 6 years with my local Army National Guard Field Artillery Unit in Southern Indiana back in the 80's. Im sure they will be deployed to that area.
National weather service: yeah, looks like an EF-2
I wouldn’t live where tornadoes 🌪️ hits nonstop for anything in this world and what’s so sad is most of them people don’t even have a tornado shelter underground 😢
Move to the mountains in between mountains 😢
Which is how i live and at 50 years old with tornadoes hitting all around my location there’s only been one tornado hit my location but destroyed everything outside of the mountains 😢
We moved out of the Midwest to WV 6 years ago and tornadoes are one of the many things I absolutely do not miss.

I live in between two big mountains lots of people lives here exactly way to many people there’s only been one tornado 🌪️ hit here in the 50 years i have lived here but within 50 miles from here every year everything gets destroyed by tornadoes 🌪️
What’s so sad is most people don’t have a tornado shelter where tornadoes hits or home insurance
Have a great blessed day 🫶🏻🥲❤️
Just awful 😕
Based on the amount of trees that had been significantly debarked, I think this tornado has the potential to be rated an EF5. I don’t like pre-rating tornadoes, but I’ve never seen anything like this before.
I would be surprised if it got a 5 given the lack of damage indicators. I would also be shocked if it was less than a 4.
Watched turbine bend like a plastic straw on Reed Timmer live. And fire sprang from at least one, so im guessing that's why you’ve got water on the ground in drone
There is not ONE tree that was not torn up. Holy Moley ...
Each wind turbin holds 250 gallons of oil. That's why they catch on fire. God's land being so polluted from those things.
and the gearbox can weigh between 12,000-15,000lbs without oil!
It was only a couple of turbines. Nothing in comparison to what the oil industry and pipelines leak every day.
There's more to consider than just oil. Can you imagine the toxic fumes from fiberglass blades burning?
@@Independent7274 Care to compare how much energy is produced by oil and gas vs. how much is produced by wind and solar?
@@glenbard657 Green energy wind, solar and hydropower makes up over 20% of Americans energy
😔 sad tore up alot prayers 🙏
My heart goes out to the whole town those thick heavy clouds look like ravenous ghosts
This is beyond destroyed. This is pulverized.
New sub. Just wow
How do we help these people?
Was going 90mph?
Cat 5?
I don't think they call them cat ?
Debarking trees as seen in the video is a sign of EF5, but they'll probably call it an EF4.
@@Bob_Adkins, yep, like the Barnsdall, OK tornado, they rated it a EF4 that should've been rated a EF5, even though houses were swiped completely off their foundations and or concrete slabs, along with the bark being stripped off the trees and over half of the town destroyed.
@@Bob_AdkinsRoger that . Im seeing EF-5 damage in Greenfield. But im expecting the "experts" to give that Monster a high end EF-4 ratting.
😳
😢
The Creator will make up for all this rottenness

It's the righteous judgement of God
I could never worship a God that purposely injures and even kills babies and kids.
Gods are for kids, like Santa Claus.
@@shadowwolf9503 Do you get mad at judges when they send someone to prison? You break the law you pay for it.. This nation is paying for how people have turned away from God but one day every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God
It's really the money hungry greedy people that do all that terrible to the families of all these Nations.
why isn't the National Guard over there at Greenfield helping them This is not what we have them for instead of always going to war? I feel sorry for them and I give them prayers that they can come back from this and pray for those who passed away but I think the state ought to send the National Guard over there not just the governor she ought to be sending out the National Guard.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
Thoughts and Prayers to Insurrectionists in Iowa (I’m an Atheist)
I pray a tornado never rips off your face, or the government never imprisons you without a trial.
I pray all these folks get the help they will need to rebuild after this force of nature struck.
Hey look, the tornado took down a bird-churning machine or two. Hard to be mad at that.
A lot of MAGA houses, too.
