I also tried the Aurora and Arrow but forgot to mention them in the vid. The Aurora is too long to shut the door and the Arrow is too high/too wide depending on the landing gear configuration. I think once the landing gear and wing folding is separated on all ships the arrow will have more options. Should be perfect in Carrack with wings out and gear down.
I think the Kruger ships are probably easier to park inside the corsair than into the snub bay of the connie LOL. With medical pisces coming, this means the corsair can have a med bed. LOL. Razor fitting in is icing on the cake. Very well done video.
I see these videos and I struggle with the concept of "the tricks" to make something fit. To me, it either goes right in or it doesn't fit. Nice job on getting this video out so soon.
It feels like they purposely did that. I’d imagine it has something to do with the Med Pisces coming out. Even though it will be a basic med bed it would upset the balance between this ship and the Connie.
I really think CIG made some of the smaller racing ships just too big, and not having folding wings or such really dims the possibilities. I'd love it if we could get a crusader racing ship around the same size as the merlin.
Yup, I thought it was a really great fit. You could get a hover bike down each side as well. I wonder if you could also get a greycat in parked sideways on the ramp
The Razor serie are my favorite "snub-ship", as they fit in a lot of cargo space (all Constellation, 600i, etc… even the front garage of the Carrack !). And it gives you many options: The standard is a good little snub-fighter (like, imagine a Constellation with both a Merlin AND a Razor as an escorte working in tandem O.o) The LX is the easiest racer to carry around (as the P-72 with its larger wings, even folded, doesn’t fit in many ships you think it should) And the EX is the best stealth scout ever, so a great addition to any recon and exploration ship
@@sapphomett i can fully see using a fast stealth recce or scout version, especially going somewhere like Pyro. I can’t wait to get a Corsair and try these things out. Thanks for your reply Jessi.
I could say the MPU being useful. Since this is technically Drake's answer to an explorationship you could use that to land on the planet and then go scouting with a few people.
I managed to fit a Pisces with a Nox, an STV with, 1 1scu box, and 2 2scu boxes. The Pisces pushes back on the door pretty far back and leaves a lot of clearance. Have never had an issue with it knocking into the other vehicles/boxes, plus that leaves enough space to walk around comfortably. Only thing- when the bay doors open 90% of the time you cannot walk out from the back.

I could maybe fit an Ursa and Quad, but it's not worth them banging around. So I just loaded the Ursa. Im trying to find the perfect overland operation. Just wish Ursa had a bed.
try buccaneer. i think there should be a special version of the corsair that had a bucc docking port (similar to the connie) instead of a cargo bay, or instead of a copilot turret
You have to spawn them individually so anywhere where you can take the first one off the pad and easily go back for another one. New Babbage is easy as you can land the first ship at the surface entrance and take the elevator back up to the spaceport to get the second ship. Also, at outposts that have a vehicle spawn pad, you can spawn some XS ships like the Pisces and 100 series so just fly the bigger ship to the outpost.
@@ArmoredGenie just guessing here but i think if you back the pisces in and bank the wings so they're pointing at the corners of the Corsair's hold, back it in beyond the railings, it looks like the mid/rear part of the Corsair's bay is a bit wider and you might be able to straighten it out and park it towards the rear of the bay. still, as is, it looks like you could fit at least a cyclone plus a pisces in the corsair. neat.
