This video has made my decision harder . I was about to book RE Hunter 350 but looks like I must take a test ride of the Ronin too .
I booked RE hunter 350 for the looks and the feel and has more torque.
Probably better resale value as well.
Ronin looked really ugly to me except the front.
Please ignore RE fanboys if u like it go for it.
Remember small company top model bikes are better than big company's cheapest bike
People in India make a lot of assumptions, some random guy will come and call me RE fanboy but in truth i am not a fanboy of any brand. I told you the reason I chose hunter 350. It got the looks, feel and most importantly the torque.
And i would love to have a great resale value once I decide to switch to something else.
@@amitsuju Torque is not everything, ground clearance ,led setup,seating comfort,mileage and design also matters.
Hunter I have taken test ride not at all comfortable and done lot of cost cuttings..fanboys better go for classic 350 🤣
@@psykidgaming2415 it's personal choice for everyone. I found it more engaging, i don't mind the led set up and did not feel any comfort issues with it and loved the design over Ronin, it felt more complete.

Don't know what your issue is for making these types of comments. May be you need to run or hit the gym to blow off your steam. Chill kar dude!
In my opinion, for people who would loved to do that extra stickering/ customer stickering/wrapping to the bike, then the basic model is the best choice. One can put some nice stripe on the tank, probably put sticker for the front shocks, also the large mud guard in the back, people can put vinyl cutting of their fav heroes.
Ronin is very lucky to get a customer like him. Loved the video 👍🏼
Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations.
I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes).
After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare.
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC
I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations,
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC -
*Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles.
*Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC -
*Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost.
*Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable.
Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST.
Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture.
Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes)
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC -
*Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb.
Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic.
*Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features).
Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter.

The POV(point of view)when you ride this bike is majestic, when you drive it you will feel like you are driving something huge,something grand,that handle design that headlight's top portion,that possitioning of the speedometer, those side mirrors and especially that big tank muscular huge design of that tank makes you feel like you are riding a big and majestic machine and that exhaust sound also plays a major role in enjoying the ride,that gives a confidence to the rider.both the POV and the EXHAUST sound combined makes a ride in this bike amazing❤
Happy with my Ronin drove 180km getting 40kms mileage in city
are there vibrations when doing 120kmph? have done it??

I agree with this gentleman, top variant should've come with all-black option (I'm also not a fan of golden forks)
Personally, I don't like the colors offered in the top variant, and I need 2-channel ABS for safety, so I'm not buying Ronin this year
The breaking is quite good in Ronin. Works surprisingly well with single channel ABS too. Ofcourse dual channel is an added advantage
@@trippytrippytap2018 having fallen recently due to lack of traction in rear wheel, it took me months to heal a hip swelling. Dual channel ABS is must in my next bike.
Agree, they should have provided ABS on rear brakes at least in the mid variant, as an option extra if not standard..

Colour wali baat jo boli na mere dil ki baat kehdi bhai. Black ka charm hi alag hai jo ki dual tone hone ki wajah se top varient me mujhe missing laga.
Top variants ka color scheme bilkul raddi hai. TVS walon ko top variant me all black with gold USD forks dena chahiye. Makkhan ki tarah bikegi

Thanks for the review with existing customer. I am about to book one. I like the base version. But just thinking if dual channel abs is required. I don't want to spend 25k additional for other features of the top variant. 80% of my riding will be in city.
The roads are full of idiots. I'd prioritise extra safety in the form of dual channel ABS.
Top mei adjustable suspension milta hei if that's important for you le lo top cuz ye mujhe nahi pata tha and mene base liya.. suspension with a second person thora stiff laga
Ronin mono shocks is better which u don't see in other cruisers. Also slipper clutch is there with lever adjustment too
Monoshock is actually comfortable. And slipper clutch is an added advantage

I wish the seat was a little longer and gears had heel shift. Little less plastic would have been better.
Best feature is that it glides in traffic with 225 CC engine

Meri ronin avi 43 ka milage de rahi hai. 1st service due hai.
The only grouse that I have with this bike, is that if it had a ground clearance of 220mm it would have beaten the Himalayan, Yezdi Adventurer, and the Hero Xpulse pants down.
Nevertheless, this bike effortlessly fills the much-needed bad-roader segment.
I, for one, won't mind its ordinary Joe look, rather than the snazzier one.
This bike has beaten my purchase decision for the Hero Expulse for good. Your vlog reinforces my decision furthermore, thanks for that!

Base model black good choice. TVS a Deming awardee for Quality and this one aspect sets them apart from other brands

2004V + H'ness. The RE Hunter is okay, but the thump is irritating + a lot of jerk in the bike + the worst part is the riding dynamics - wide handle with aggressive posture gives 0 comfort. Blindly go for Ronin. Super smooth + outstanding thump + premium parts + easiest control

I'm a non muscular 5.8 ft guy and bullets don't suits me, but most of the bikes in today's era to make it sporty and stylish have a very small pillion seat which wasn't the case a decade ago
P.S: I still feel unicorn is my👍👍👍

Ronin looks phenomenal on short riders but on 5'10" It looks TINY, they should add bigger tyres and a slightly bigger frame

🔹very nimble to manuaver in day to day traffic
🔹super comfort,
🔹best riding posture, engine refinement,
🔹smooth & better gear box
🔹power to weight ratio is better than hunter
🔹slipper assist clutch
🔹Showa USD forks
🔹LEDs all around, hunter has bulbs
🔹Bass heavy exhaust note and best of all 40+ milage that will pay
dividend in long run.
In a nutshell Ronin is complete
bike whereas Hunter feels like a downgraded 350 classic.

TVS Ronin fills the cost gap for me to buy a touring bike and simultaneously comfortable for my wife to sit for long run.

It's not a bulky issue, it's the height issue with the mirror. Just lose the clutch screw and push the whole sent to the front. You view will increase. But still it's not best.
It will actually change the riding dynamics as the position of the hands would change. Not recommended. Instead, we can replace and get bigger mirrors.

TVS rtr 200 is having quality problems out of showroom that was reported by many users.
RE also has repeatedly changed Recharge rectifier unit for int 650, classic 350.
Konsi co. is better for long term maintenance costs and durability??

I hv same ht and wt ,i think ronin is best,seating position of ronin is straight,u dont need to tilt toward handle.

Good bike, value for money, but for me, i would love if the seating position is more sporty and alittle bit aggressive. Tail end also shouldn't have that fender and lastly 150mm rear tyre would make it more better..
Us seating position ke liye aap sports bike me jaa sakte ho. Normally cruiser bikes ka seating posture relaxed aur upright hota hai

Hunter > ronin > fzx if mileage is not a concern and you want a bike for status and highway rides (hunter's true mileage in city will be 25-28)
Ronin > hunter > fzx for city riding, mileage , features, better parts like USD, monoshock, slipper clutch (all 3 are more expensive and better than what hunter offers and reserved for high end-bikes only)
Fzx is a garbage that tries to look like a cruiser bike......... Yamaha is a group of drunk bimbos who dumped XSR155 and launch fzx in india.
