  • In this video from the Enable Conservation Tillage (ECT) project Adam Goodwin from Castledermot county Kildare describes his experiences with grass weed control on his farm. Sterile brome has been a significant problem on Donal's farm for the last number of years while there are also issues with wild oats and canary grass. Adam runs a plough based system on a mostly winter cropping rotation with limited spring crops but he still has an issue with grass weeds. Crop rotation plays an important role on Adam's farm to control grass weeds.Adam has learned a lot from other farmers in the programme and has improved weed identification and awareness.
