I had that tracksuit top!! Very nice it was as well !! Along with the white England shirt. That’s probably my 2nd favourite England shirt after the 1986 World Cup one. The tracksuit top is only beaten by the one we had at the 1990 World Cup.
@@mrkipling2201 Personally mate, I couldn't give two sh💩💩ts about 'the idiots' that crawl out from under their rocks to follow 'ingerlund' - you and I and all other REAL Supporters don't want to die of old age before our Country wins another WC. 👍👍😊
Euro 88 was such a great tournament. Every game and team were high quality and on a knife edge. A very low margin of error. I remember running home from school to watch every game. Uefa ruined it by expanding it. Not bothered at all now. Anyway England had a good team on paper and could have won it. Lineker, Barnes, Beardsley, Robson, McMahon, Hoddle, Webb... Bobby said the Liverpool players were exhausted when they arrived.
One of the biggest missed opportunities for England to win a major tournament. I was very surprised with the performances. I remember watching the game against Ireland and England were 2nd best in every aspect of the game.
@@mrkipling2201 Ya think? Lineker (who had a virus) missed some easy chances. Still Holland lost their opener against Russia and only survived the group by beating Ireland with a late goal. That's how close it was. Ireland (who were without Lawrenson & Brady) were 8 minutes away from the semi . W Germany were very unlucky v Holland in the semi. The football they actually played was very direct. Fast and furious. The England - Holland game was the key one. I watched the Holland - W Germany semi recently and the atmosphere still sounds incredible. Uefa have really ruined a great tournament.
@@randyborstol2491 I do. Lineker had hepatitis and would explain why he was out of sorts. Plus we were unfortunate to come up against peak Gullit and Van Basten against Holland. We were given a football lesson that day.
@@randyborstol2491 The atmospheres were far better in the 80's. Watched a friendly recently from 1984 - Itally v West Germany. Atmosphere psed all over a modern cup final, let alone a major tournament match. It was incredible. The classic horns the fans used for 82 world cup and 1984 european championships were in evidence.
Personally i think Switzerland deserved something from the game. After the first half hour they made a greater fist of it.Many of the English players were poor but that could simply be down to fatigue. Not a great game come back Mike Channon🐻🤗👍
Ah now it's all over it's even more clear that Bryan Robson tried his best to play for the opposition but wasn't even good enough to do that - I've never understood why he was picked - and Lineker (that's the England player with the dark skin) would never let anyone else have a shot at goal, such an entitled wanksplat, always passed back to ask his teammates to set him up rather than them.

Come on England! 😊👍👍 Wouldn't it be just great if we could make it to the World Cup Final this time! ? 😊👍👍
@@thelstanedwardsson4374 it would from a football perspective. Unfortunately it would also bring out every idiot in the country, to follow ingerlund….

Great that we get play-off action from Chelsea v Middlesbrough in the play-off final with Gerald Sinsdadt commentating as well.
I was in the Boro' end when the Chelsea fans ran the length of the pitch towards us. Enjoyable day witnessing Chelsea go down.
I thought the 84 and 86 kits were good but this one and the 1990 WC kits were the best!
Great find, I love em all, bit .like the escape to victory stadium in Paris not haha easten Europe I think it was
Brilliant as always
!

Turkyilmaz on as a substitute for Switzerland. He would go on to score the equaliser for them in the first game of Euro 96.
Wankdorf Stadium not available? 🙂
классный матч, уровень игры запредельный
There all out and I got the tv remote cheers 🍻 duckjive 👍
