    I traded in my 2020 RS for the new model and still find it hard to believe how much Triumph improved what was already a great bike, the handling is sharper but still planted and the shorter gearing has really pepped up low to mid range acceleration, plus the stylemas have moved the breaking to as good as it gets, a superb bike that's raised the bar for naked middleweights.

    I've owned 3 Street Triple 765's over the last 4 years. 2 of them were the RS and the first one was the R. In-between those three I had the 2016 Tuono Factory (not even comparable to the 765) and also a 2017 Daytona 657r. Currently have a S1000XR but hey point is, I've gone back to the Street Triple 765 again and again because its a fkn amazing bike. Smooth, sounds amazing, has all the tech, yoshi-alpha-t slip on sounds bad ass, and everything!

      This is encouraging, because after just two days of ownership, mine has an oil leak. I have the company big-wig involved. Unfortunately, I purchased it from a bottom feeder, who couldn’t give two shits…I was really on the fence with this bike. It was between this and the z900 SE. I currently own, and am not trading gen5 zx10r SE. I love the Japanese reliability and low cost of ownership. I track my zx10, and she’s fast, reliable, and can really drift coming hard out of an apex. I just hope this new Triumph isn’t an albatross.

      @@RynoDineroactually had them exchange for a different bike. Same model, different color. Some will leak, some won’t. But apparently it’s assembly lube, and the break-in process. I’ve purchased several new Japanese bikes, never an issue. In hindsight, I should have bought the Kawasaki Z900 SE. This triumph is SLOW!!! Handles great, but the gearing is shit. 48t rear sprocket!!! WTF! It always seems like I’m looking for another gear, AND I’M IN 6TH!!! Hopefully a chain and sprocket 520 conversion with -2 in the rear will lower rpm’s. Now I have to invest in a piggyback fueler because I installed a full exhaust system. All in all, Triumph will NEVER compete to the japs or even new italian bikes. Tooling on my bike reveled all the low hanging fruit regarding poor craftsmanship. The parts I want to replace; i.e. rearsets, are heavy. Everything on this bike is heavy. It’s not going to be difficult to get this bike under 400lbs wet. The full exhaust and lithium battery alone was good for at least 15 pounds of unsprung weight. That’s the goal, light weight, decent suspension and handling should make this a handling beast, A real mountain carver.

    Good review - i agree not a huge fan of the yellow myself - which actually seems very popular with most folks. The CRUISE control is an extra you can get on the RS but NOT the R- heated grips are an extra - needs a radiator protector - and a longer hugger and tail tidy and you have one VERY nice bike. I plan on getting one and doing all of the above :) Enjoyed the review - relaxed style.

      The bikes you guys get are just as lean running as EU bikes ?
      There's so much gain in a good map even with the stock exhaust, making it richer in it's own solves part of the problem but it definitely creates space for some ignition timing changes. This engine is beast when derestricted. Still have a 2020 myself, both the new and my bike are euro 5 restricted with us, same rules so same issues are probably there to be solved by ecu magicians 👊

    I think the 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS is the perfect bike, I love everything about it except for the lack of Wind protection. I don't know why companies don't seem to realize that people are buying naked bikes because of the ergonomics. not because they want to get hammered by the wind at anything above sixty mph. I test road the Yamaha Mt09 a couple of years ago and the XSR 900 just a couple of months ago, and I like the new XSR better than the MT09. but I like the Triumph more than either of them. and I haven't even tried the 2023 yet. the sound is so sweet. what a beautiful tone it has. I would never even consider changing the pipes. I could listen to that engine purring when I'm lying in bed getting ready to sleep. it's so sweet. but I just bought a bike that I am in love with which is a 2017 DUCATI Supersport that had only 2159 km on it. and the only other bike I would really love to own is this new Triumph. and if I get my own house with a garage I will probably buy one as soon as I see a second hand one come up for sale in like new condition. which might be a year from now. and a third consideration would be either the Z900RS. or maybe the BMW S1000R. and if I had all three I would have a V Twin, a triple and an inline 4. which would make me smile every time I entered my garage.

      The S1000R is a fantastic bike but it’s a bit soulless, boring 🥱 BUT it’s because it does everything so perfectly, kinda in a robotic way ( if that makes sense 😂) The Triumph will make you smile and feel alive 🙌🏼☺️.. I’ve had both so that’s my opinion 👍🏾

      @@captain_midlife 100%. Ducati has a long way to go to catch up to the ride that the RS offers. The V2 was far too wrist'y, lacked the turning agility of the RS, had no fuel gauge, was hot and I caught my leg on all the wiring for the rear brake. It's just not made very well and seems they really cut some corners for profit, even the gauge cluster under acceleration vibrated wildly where I couldn't even see the dash. $AUD 25k was just too much and on top of that there's the unique Ducati servicing costs, then they asked 9k just for the exhaust. Nice review! How tall are you? Do you feel like it's a bit small for a heavier and taller guy? I'm 185 cm and 210 pounds. Looking for an upgrade to my MT-07.

      I’m exactly 185 also. It’s great. Definitely feels much bigger than an MT07

      is it really an upgrade? i thought both bikes were on the same lvl performance wise?? Currently, I own MT-03 and looking something new for an upgrade but I guess Mt-07 is far behind triple rs.... and I thought they're the same.

      @@Voltomess First of all the MT07 has 73 hp, Street Triple RS has 130 hp. Besides the power the Streety got better components overall. Brakes, dampers, electronics. The MT07 for example doesn't have a quick shifter or cornering ABS. These two bikes don't play in the same league. The Yamaha isn't a bad bike though, just try what suits you best.

    More RPM (like more happy zone 😊), more braking power (brembo stylema) and better suited to the track day (moto2) 💛💛💛

    Great vid. I have the mt09sp and just test rode this rs ….. I’m buying the rs. Night and day it’s a better bike

      Is it the last gen MT09 SP you have? In what way is the Street really better for you?

    • @pudsboi5203
      @pudsboi5203 Рік тому +1

      @@patrickrosello9583 yes the latest sp. The RS is smoother, turns better/faster. The Triumph engine is so good and the clutch and throttle are the best I’ve ever had on a bike. I’m just faster everywhere on it. I live next to brands hatch race circuit and it’s night and day faster round the track. Not knocking the MT-SP at all, it’s a great bike but the Triumph is just better. More top shelf 🤙

    How does it feel compared to the 2020 model? Is it a night and day difference?

      Yeah the 2020 is a great bike but this does definitely feel like a whole new bike

    How would you compare the Triumph Trident to this? Many reviewers say it feels like a budget Triple.

    • @captain_midlife
      @captain_midlife  Рік тому

      I mean the Trident has way less power, and no where near the suspension spec. I can’t see it. I think it’s a great budget bike for sure. But not on this level

    How is the handling compared to the tuono 1100?

      I own a 2023 moto 2 edition and a tuono v4 factory were the street triple is lighter the handling is superb so in my opinion no comparison street triple handling better by far
