We have become a society that thinks it's okay to neglect people's needs because "the market will take care of them." At the same time we've built up a vast military-industrial complex. These needs are not necessarily those of people of color. We have rural areas that are dying while we have prioritized the success of Wall Street. This threatens to tear the country apart.
