I'm not a Sikh and reminds me of my college days in Punjab and also taught me something interesting. I do understand that wearing a pagdri (accompanied by a full beard which is clearly missing here) automatically carries a gravity and people knowingly or unknowingly speak with some respect. But there are some issues which this video (or most comments below) does not address. An external display [in the form of a pagdi] is only superficial and can hide a hypocrite! It is not about 'tor/rutba/show-off/credibility' but about performing wholesome actions. I mean, a sikh wearing a pagdi but who is arrogant, hot tempered, greedy, lustful, discriminating, is going against the very tenets of Sikhism [panj dosh]. I would value a Sikh not wearing a pag but who does not have the panj dosh much higher than one who is wearing one but is full of those 'weaknesses'. The worst sex ratio among Sikhs is one glaring example of how rotten any society can become when it starts placing importance on a superficial display. With love.

Sikhs were Shatriya Hindus who created a santan dharam and called it Sikhism. There is a different story of 12 baj gaye. Rajputs used to guard children's and womans from 12 pm to 12 am and Sikhs used to guard same from 12 am to 12 pm and it was the time of night when Nadir shah attacked and beheaded few sikhs. As sikhs were less in number, then Rajputs supported them from back and saved them.
