I Add Downy Unstoppable Scent Beads to my vacuum canister. It helps with the dog smells and the fresh scent gets thrown around the room when you use it.

I LOVE this! In our previous home, we built a “Pinterest” kitchen! It was the most dysfunctional kitchen we had ever worked in. It looked perfect but it didn’t work for the day to day of our lives! We built our current home and we always gets comments oh I’m surprised you didn’t rebuild your previous kitchen! Um NO we did not we walked 10000 steps circling a huge pointless Pinterest island!
I keep dryer sheets in my Tahoe for an air freshener. I just tuck one in each door cubby, or wedge a couple under the seats & it smells SO good!
Thanks for the in-depth look at your kitchen storage! It gave me some great ideas. As for laundry, I’ve always used Tide, but recently discovered Persil. Nice scent. And there’s nothing more fresh smelling than added bleach to your whites!

You cracked me up, about “your dog smell like dog in Bath and Body Works”
I agree they have distinctive smell, that’s why we often wash them and their blanket, our throw in the living room and those pillow in the living room, I highly recommend to get those removable throw pillow cases. And yes I even hardly use those febreeze but I clean the house every week and yes those filters are important 👍🏽 and I always open the window every morning to air out the house so fresh air can come in even in winter time I do this and I always get ask when family and friends come over they always ask if we still have our dogs. That means I’m doing something right! And candles I do use them but not to rely on the scent and think it’s magically smells good it’s good add on to keep the house smelling fresh!

Have you tried the Mrs Meyers multipurpose cleaning sprays? They make the room smell so clean. And I use their lavender handsoap in the powder room. It scents the room so well.
yes, I love them too! I find the myers surface spray left a bit of a film on my countertop. The lavender handsoap is SO good! xo

We always get a few loads of bread and put them in the freezer, we go through it quick but the freezer keeps it fresh until we need it.
You talked about about smells but I didn’t get how you keep it from smelling like dog lol.
The trick is to keep throws on furniture, wash them a lot, use febreeze BEFORE it goes to shit, and wash their beds/blankets often

The best thing I did was to cover my couch and loveseat. I take the covers off, wash them, and you cannot tell our large Rhodesian Ridgeback sleeps on it whenever she gets a chance!

I 100% whole heartedly TOTALLY agree with the ‘husband drawer’. Every house my husband & I have lived in has had a great drawer for him EXCEPT for the house we bought and currently live in. I have a little basket on top of the fridge for him. It works fine, but I still wish I/he had a drawer.

What do you use to clean your backsplash? It's always so shinny.
Most of it has to do with the type of tile. The tile we used is pretty shiny already, but I mostly use the same multi suerface cleaner I use for my counters, or usually just hot water on a towel. Occasionally, I'll de-grease certain areas like around the stovetop with vinegar. Honestly, It's about time to re-grout. White grout is pretty tough in those areas.

And omg, that's why my potatoes go bad so quickly. I did not know that about onions!
YES!! Even kept in the same room several feet away, onions make potatoes ripen 4x's as quickly. Just keep the potatoes in a bag (honestly like the burlap ones most of them come in), in a cool spot or a cabinet alone.

Skanky a** smell….🥴. I differ from the induction cooktops. Before we moved we had gas stove top. It was so much easier to clean. I didn’t have to scrap like I do with induction. I cook 3 meals a day, and yeah I’ll have some burnt on foods. It’s just another 5 mins of spraying and scrapping with Weiman scrapper that I’d rather be sweeping & mopping instead.
I purchased the Shiseido eye cream you recommended and it has been working for me. I love the shine it gives under the eye as well. I have dark circles in the bottom inner corners and after using it for 2 weeks it has lightened. I was waiting for a sale through Macy’s, but found a better deal ordering it through Costco online! Saved $16.
I totally get that! Funny because I always HATED cleaning down in my gas range. It's just totally a personal preference. I'm so happy you love the shiseido cream! You're right, it's so great. I always try other stuff but it is truly the best.

I don't understand the mega pantries or giant refrigerators on instagram or UA-cam, you can't consume that much food before it goes bad.
Other bad odor spots is the kitchen and bathroom garbage and gross veg and fruit in the fridge. Yuck! When my house smells like dog, it’s usually his yeasty ears and off to the vet we go. For hard to throw kids art work, take pictures of her holding it and then throw it away. Great video! My favorite content!! Thank you!
I will never buy a couch that isn’t slip covered again. I had a cat that got sick all over my couch and after cleaning it several times, I got rid of it and got a slip covered one. I can wash it whenever I need to and actually feel like it’s clean instead of spot cleaning
