This is the best tutorial I've found for the monostation. Alas, I don't think it sold a lot of units because until the end, the patterns and sounds weren't that appetizing. The initial patch bundle was not that great. The second pack they released really shows the power of this unit. There is no other analogue synth at this price that has this amount of automated control. There are a bunch of filth tutorials that go by way too fast to learn anything. It's not the most immediate device but it has insane levels of control. If you can find one, they're often cheap and well worth having in your setup
I picked this up used because I saw the potential that a lot of people missed when it first came out. A monophonic groovebox? But the thing is insanely powerful. What other analogue machine gives this much granular control over sounds and sequences? I appreciate the clear evenly paced explanations of things I'm just wrapping my head around. The mod seq in particular is a bit tricky and other videos just power through it. Going to rewatch this with mine in front of me. On the con side, I don't think the sounds and sequences sold many units. There's some sick stuff towards the end but the first stuff was a bit hard to listen ro
This is a great intro. I'm just getting going with my Mono Station. It's less immediate than the Circuit, but it feels more rewarding to dig into. These tutorials help. Thanks.
Mod Seq seems to have significantly changed in firmware 1.2. I don't see that the functionality in this video exists anymore on that firmware. Seems that Mod Seq is now dedicated to providing sequencing for external gear. Maybe I'm missing something?
With 1.2 you need to switch to the Velocity page for mod seq. The Note and Gate pages have been activated for that external feature and so it no longer switches into velocity by default.
Don’t forget to visit your psychologist.. tell him that you watched a video of an ANALOGUE groove box to hear a nice piano song. Maybe there is a pill....

The best video to show the possibilities of the Mono Stations. Great job.
Great explanation of the sequencer! Best demo of Mono Station!!!
Noise floor level on this video production is top notch. Somebody tried to fix it using a hard gate lol
Just got one of these and looking forward to using it... Thanks for your cool ideas!
Why do my Osc2 notes cutoff my Osc1 note sequence when I record? They dont play together
At what time is the mod seq portion?
Great job on this to Mr M

I thought that only the circuit had a drum machine? How come this is the first time im hearing the mono station having one??
Eco19 It’s patch flip. No drum machine just flipping between patches which happen to be drum type sounds made using its analog sound engine.
Oops. Actually this looks pre 1.2 firmware so I’m this instance it just looks like automation not patch flip. Pretty cool either way though.
It's not literally drum machine in meaning of drum tracks, just oscilator used to made drum-like sounds.
Well...you can synthesize drums, yknow? Thats what synthesizers do :)
cool!
Baat was knocking.
is it really that complicated...to bad for me anyway
i only like piano sound..not these stupid money waste.
What's with the hate man?
MONEY WASTE?

Well...well...YOU'RE A STUPID MONEY WASTE
