Yeah, the ending wasn't expected either, I was going to leave it with the ending of the flat line tone but i was persuaded to add a positive ending to kind of ease it a little lol.
it got me at the end after dean "died". made it seem like he went to heaven and Cas was there waiting. I don't ship destiel but that was sweet! another great video! how did you do the "castiel novak" headstone, how did you get him to fade out instead of just being there one second and gone the next, where did you get the clips of younger dean/cas that made it look like they were leaning against the beds and talking? like that you used timeless! :P
I used Photoshop for the gravestone and used Clone tool to remove Mary's name and the dates of birth and death and then just wrote in "Castiel Novak" and the new dates. The rest was just using effects like embossing, drop shadow and Glow and then flattening the layers and using clone tool again to add the darker parts on the gravestone to go over his name. I saved it as a png and then put it in Sony Vegas and made it zoom/pan so it wasn't just a still picture. (i cleaned the blood from "cautious" mouth in the timeless one in the same way in the part earlier when the lyrics say about dreaming of his face. I didn't want the blood there as he didn't have blood there when he closes his eyes later in the video. (I get a little picky about continuity at times haha, I had to crop out as too when Dean and Sam are looking at the gravestone as he originally is there watching them with Chuck and Rowena) I think I just rambled quite a bit. :P Oh, and I used different methods for the fading out, depending on the scenes. The one where he's in the bunker dungeon with Dean, I used a similar method that I did with the gravestone, I screen captured one frame of the clip and then used clone tool over Castiel until he was gone and then saved it as a PNG, then I put it on a track above the video scene and cropped dean out of it so the then the video shows the moving Dean part but left it with no Cas. I rendered it and then lined it up with the original and cross-faded so Cas faded out.

Thank you :) The video was originally destined for AngelDove, but then I thought about the story line and how depressing it is and the fact it had suicide in it and figured it was better off here. The original song used was "Faded" by Alan Walker but the slower version, since i did the beginning and end first but the middle of the song didn't feel right. Thought i'd just share that :P The ending feels much more sad with faded. I cried. ROFL, but I just couldn't work with the middle of the song. :(

haha, I'm actually a pretty dark person, I don't actually like happy ever afters, there's been countless moments I've wanted to make something and began in and then paused and scrubbed the idea because it might be something that goes too far, especially when the channel has became related to more softer stuff. This is mild, I want to ease into it because I would like to gauge how far is too far, so they will steadily increase until there's that cut off. :) The scene is from "DeVour" it's a horror movie from 2005. (not a very good one though, but excellent for young Dean scenes.:P )
Dude this is amazing but sad.... I love it! I tried not to cry but a few tears managed to escaped at the end. I notice you try to tell a story in almost all your edits and for the most part I catch on quick to the message and what not. However, this.. this is great I felt like the story was easier to catch on too and follow as it progresses. Defenetly made it to the top of my list of favorite videos. p.s. Aww, Thank you! :) I guess the story was easier to tell because it was completely AU so I felt free to use what ever I felt would work for the scenes, including other TV shows/Movies, I usually try and keep it as relatable as possible to the show and just express what is there already It was really nice to be able to stretch out a bit and not have limitations, and I'm hoping to do more of that on this channel with different story lines :)

The video was originally destined for AngelDove, but then I thought about the story line and how depressing it is and the fact it had suicide in it and figured it was better off here.
The original song used was "Faded" by Alan Walker but the slower version, since i did the beginning and end first but the middle of the song didn't feel right. Thought i'd just share that :P The ending feels much more sad with faded. I cried. ROFL, but I just couldn't work with the middle of the song. :(

haha, I'm actually a pretty dark person, I don't actually like happy ever afters, there's been countless moments I've wanted to make something and began in and then paused and scrubbed the idea because it might be something that goes too far, especially when the channel has became related to more softer stuff.
This is mild, I want to ease into it because I would like to gauge how far is too far, so they will steadily increase until there's that cut off. :)
The scene is from "DeVour" it's a horror movie from 2005. (not a very good one though, but excellent for young Dean scenes.:P )

I tried not to cry but a few tears managed to escaped at the end. I notice you try to tell a story in almost all your edits and for the most part I catch on quick to the message and what not. However, this.. this is great I felt like the story was easier to catch on too and follow as it progresses. Defenetly made it to the top of my list of favorite videos.
p.s. You have improved a lot and I feel like every edit you post is always a little bit better than the previous one. Always look forward to seeing your work.

Aww, Thank you! :) I guess the story was easier to tell because it was completely AU so I felt free to use what ever I felt would work for the scenes, including other TV shows/Movies, I usually try and keep it as relatable as possible to the show and just express what is there already
It was really nice to be able to stretch out a bit and not have limitations, and I'm hoping to do more of that on this channel with different story lines :)
