So Kayali is really into supporting micro influencers AND bigger channels. They kind of love bomb them and then follow with a subtle threat if anyone even considers saying something negative. I recommend just getting the tiny sample bottles and trying before opening the big sizes. This way you can return them if they aren’t good ❤
My first official perfume was from Kay Ali. This is only because I searched UA-cam for coconut scents. This also introduced me to the fragrance world and amazing honest UA-camrs such as yourself. Now Mona or anybody else will never be my idol but I think that this house has some good fragrances. Btw: I loved the green one the most. I would definitely buy a 100 mL
Capri and Maui are my absolute favorites from the set. I like Maldives too. I dont like Marrakesh. It does smell very mature. I am going to try and layer it with something sweet so I can use it.
I bought the small tester sample set off Huda beauty. I also bought the full sizes from Sephora. I didn’t open the full sizes. Just smelled the tester set to decide if I want to return the full size or keep it.

Kayali has always been hit or miss for me. Just got vanilla 28 after 5 years… mostly no on most of their fragrances. They just mediocre. However I just received this set and I. Love Maldives and Maui. I keep thinking what does Maldives remind me of… walking into Hollister in the 2000’s …Lol…but I really like this set… actually glad I purchased it. I definitely would buy a big bottle of Maui and Maldives… love your honesty and reviews…thank you!

Yes I agree Marrakech is mature.. my son said 'This perfume has whatever it is that makes some of your perfumes smell old.' 😅 Capri was an UNSWEET version of all the lemon vanillas out there.. not sure why I couldn't pick up much sweetness from it but it was more like stewed lemons without sugar to me. 🤷🏻♀️ Great review Tera!
I love Capri and really enjoy Maui. My mother likes Marrakech. I think it’s quite nice. I don’t like this limited edition asp t. I wish they were sold separately and I would buy a big bottle of Capri Lemon. It’s so good. 🍋

Why everyone gatta be lying? Lol I like kayali cuz i feel like mona is genuine and actually passionate about fragrances. She got a literal fragrance library! Shes not just slapping her name on a bottle to sell something. Her authenticity is what has the girles ina craze. Now if she was to slap her name on a bottle just to make $$ like some celebrities that would also be an issue lol i dont get it😂. These fragrances arent meant to be beast mode or super ground breaking, theyre meant to be fun & flirty easy to reach for & wear. Lets be forreal a regular consumer thats not into perfume isnt going to want something extremely complex & kayali gets the compliments 🤷🏻♀️. Some of yall paying $400+ for tom ford bottles that smell like dead flowers or rotten peaches & last all of 15 mins sooo lol. Now with that being said, i dont like everything they release. The oud collection was a huge no for me so was elixir, invite only, sugared patchouli is still iffy lol & same with marrakesh from these 4 I dont like it at all. It smells very dated to me & like something chanel would release back in the day. I have like 10/11 full size kayali all purchased with my money. Im a fan of the house & look forward to their releases🤷🏻♀️😎😍.

Also, I wish Mona would step away from the fragrance library, maybe her fragrances would be more original. I own more of them than I don't and as a consumer I want better. I love the bottles though. Hello you showed up in my recommendations. Your introduction was promising and I love a truth talker - you are spot on regarding the disingenuity which exists, especially around Kayali fragrances. Whilst watching I thought I may subscribe after I check out your other videos. HOWEVER at 17:04 I was compelled to hit the subscribe button - that was a preach done well and I agree! I'm waiting for Silk Santal I'm not interested in rock sugar (which I dislike) or vacation scents. Thanks for your honesty it is so refreshing
I don't get it with Kayali either. Mona alwaya does seem lovely but their PR system is slick too and they are quick to cut if there is anything vaguely negative, but I totally agree with you, they aren't all amazingly perfect with wow style longevity. I like some, I dislike others, most I think are fine, just not my taste, so those are mostly the super sweet ones which are not me (Edens for example), but a few are super short longevity and no one can deny that however much they might absolutely love the scent.
I can agree with you about Marrakesh in a bottle. I like it but it's not a love and I would only wear it in the fall. It pairs nice with BBW Gingham Glow.
Out of all the releases I could’ve missed out on, I missed the Silk Santal and if you say it’s a love, I definitely would like to try that one if released again. 🥹 As far as the reviews go, I have noticed that too and that’s why I have stopped watching a lot of fragrance content myself. I love brands that work with content creators but give them the green light to be honest. Perfume isn’t like makeup or clothing.. it’s so personal! just because someone doesn’t like one scent from a brand doesn’t mean the brand is bad or the perfumes are bad. I think fragrance houses should know this being that they work with fragrance and know how our noses work 🤦🏻♀️ so only including content creators who worship every single release might work in the beginning but after a while it actually will push people away. 🤷🏻♀️ I love Kayali and Mona and her marketing is on point, I can’t deny that. I just have some loves and some dislikes and I think that’s ok 🤷🏻♀️☺️

Congrats of 10k!!! I’ve stopped watching almost all Kayali reviews because I feel like everyone is in a trance when it comes to Mona’s fragrances. Even when she made that apple one and some people called it an over priced body mist they would also still buy it. Like what?!?? Then the craziness that was yum pistachio gelato. Nearly every review I saw said it wasn’t what they expected but then twisted it to justify how amazing it was. I feel like if it came from any other brand the reviews wouldn’t be that gracious. I just wait until I can get my own nose on Kayali cause I don’t know that I can trust reviews for this house. I’m curious if reviewers are afraid to get hate from her followers or what, but it just doesn’t make sense the hold she has on all of fragcom.
I think maybe marketing might get ppl to try it out bc she does have good marketing, but after very fragrance release she has a party of the fragrance for like a month with influencer which i dont understand cause they party for weeks after the release of a fragrance I wont be shocked if it happenes to this

I got mine today and liked them. I couldn't stand pink pepper and yum gave those to my daughter. You are so right about these content creators the biggest one is Paul reacts, he likes everything deleted my comment on one of his videos when i said it.
My boyfriend also says marrakesh smells old. Especially when layered with dejavu, which mona recommended. The only smell i really enjoy is maui…capri is great but just tooo candy like for me

I told myself I wasn’t going to purchase this set because 1. they are all limited edition, 2. they are minis, and 3. I already have Hard to Get and Bake by Akro. The yellow one is soooo similar to Hard to Get to my nose. To the point that I’m gonna swap my yellow bottle for another bottle or the blue or green because I already have hard to get.
To me Marrakech in a bottle is a more mature version of love don’t be shy and that’s what I layered it with. My fave is capri and Maui. I’ll never forgive Mona for making Capri limited edition in this little bottle but some how that royal sugared mess still exist
I don’t get the cult-like phenomenon… She does seem like a genuinely nice person, but it’s almost like the marketing is so effective that it’s putting a spell on people 😅 🤷♀️
There is a lot of dishonesty and conflicts of interest in the fragrance community. Reviewers will speak clearly when telling you the 10 reasons they dislike certain releases, except when those releases are from Kayali. Kayali is always graded on a curve. The fragrances are not bad; they are, at best, mediocre. They are luxury body sprays sold at perfume prices.
There’s only a few that last past a few hours. I don’t understand the hype. It’s just mind boggling. I am sorry but the silk santal is average. Lasting power is critical on all of them except her Vanilla 28 or those ouds.

Marrakesh I do not like at the beginning, it's in the dry down where I get a beautiful sweet floral. The opening is very mature smelling to me.

To me Marrakech in a bottle is a more mature version of love don’t be shy and that’s what I layered it with. My fave is capri and Maui. I’ll never forgive Mona for making Capri limited edition in this little bottle but some how that royal sugared mess still exist

There is a lot of dishonesty and conflicts of interest in the fragrance community. Reviewers will speak clearly when telling you the 10 reasons they dislike certain releases, except when those releases are from Kayali. Kayali is always graded on a curve. The fragrances are not bad; they are, at best, mediocre. They are luxury body sprays sold at perfume prices.

I am sorry but the silk santal is average. Lasting power is critical on all of them except her Vanilla 28 or those ouds.

I have every fragrance from the brand because I like the brand. Marketing 101, brands want you to love the brand, the product is second. The brand is more important. I love Huda so naturally, I was open to kayali. The fragrances work for me and I was drawn to them because of their uniqueness and they were relatively unknown at the time. But now that everyone has hopped aboard, I’m about to hop off. This set certainly wasn’t a must for me after smelling. But I’d never return.
