My younger brother passed away last April. He did it on purpose, lets just say... to put it "nicely". It was very traumatic. I have kind of written about it, but more about just what happened. I haven't done a deep dive into my feelings about anything. It is really hard to write about the hard things. I avoid it like crazy. I hope i can get better at it at some point. Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. It happened 3 weeks after I got engaged. Trying to plan a wedding while grieving has been incredibly difficult. Took the wind right out of our sails. It's definitely a complicated grief, but having a wedding to look forward to has also been good for us, and for everyone else in the family, too.

Tysm for all the inspiration Carrie! ❤ In late December I finished my first fully filled journal and read through it. And I found 3 other unfinished journals from way earlier and read through them. I found it so interesting and nostalgic and I wondered why I never journaled consistenly. Now it’s my obsession! Starting this month I’ve been journaling everyday, and even if I feel like I won’t write that day, I always find something to write about anyway and it’s so fun! You’ve been a big help for motivating me 😊
My grandma passed away in 2023, and journaling was one of the things that kept me strong during that time. Thank you for introducing me to journaling Carrie!

12:33 Hi Carrie!! If you want to share something about how you got to where you are with religion, go for it!! As long as a video about this is you telling your story and not trying to push religion on others, you’re good!! Personally, I’m agnostic/atheist but I still am very spiritual. I don’t believe in any god, but I believe that we are all here for a reason, which makes me respect others’ religions. Religion can do a lot of good as long as it’s not pushed on others. We all have different beliefs with no way of knowing which is “correct”, if any. I am curious to how others use religion to process their life, like how I use self reflection and *journaling* lol. But hey! Maybe life is random and that’s how our society works. It’s up to what you believe!!! I’m happy that religion has helped you so much, and that’s great that you have found what is right for you. Best of luck!

Great video as always! While this is not something I would do in my journals, it's so intriguing to see you do it.
Regarding the page that detached from your current journal: Something tells me that was caused by the page you tore out when you were doing your cover page, especially given how close to the beginning you were. So that's just something to keep in mind for future reference; avoid tearing pages out of book-bound journals if you don't want it to cause a ripple effect.
I know that you've debated on whether or not to share your faith journey on your UA-cam channel, and I'm sure you'd want our input. For me personally, I don't really care to see it. It's nothing against you, but rather on the subject matter itself. Speaking as someone who has had really manipulative members on both side of my family who would use their religion to justify their actions, causing a lot of trauma in the process, is just something that I don't vibe with. While yes, this is a lifestyle UA-cam channel and your faith is part of your life, I think it's fair for one to say that your primary focus with this channel is on journaling, and that's what I'm here for.
Hope that makes sense. Obviously, I can always skip such a video if you ever do decide to do one, but I just figured I provide my input on it all.
Otherwise, keep on the great work!

Do you have a storefront in Charlottesville va. My daughter wants to see the university you attend because it's so pretty in pictures. So we are making the 6 hour drive north from Myrtle beach this weekend to visit Charlottsville before flying back to Canada on Sunday. She is a fan of yours and loves to journal.😊
