DJ McKay & Son tuck into first cut!

It's been a tough start to the silage season due to the broken weather but we managed to catch up with DJ McKay & Son as they got stuck into some first cut grass before the rain really hit. We got talking to James McKay as he tested his new Volvo L90 on the pit, and chatted about what he thought of their John Deere R series and whether they'd take a notion to upgrade the harvester to a 9900i next time round...

Spent half a season on a new l90 with a 16ft mde buckrake which looks a bit wider than what you have. I felt like the extra width made a huge difference, because it's a bit slower climbing being able to carry that bit extra helps. I actually feel like 1st should be lower so you can actually use the torqe lockup
