Thank you. Fantastic review. Very detailed.
Thanks 😊 please do subscribe thank you
The one I have seems to have the Yale Link apps...
Can you also demonstrate 4115A
Thank you detailed explanation. Can you please tell me the dimenions of extra wood that you fixed on door, including the one you have fixed on door frame. How much thickness you have added on top of your current door?
Thank you 😊 I added 40mm additionally... I couldn't easily find a slimmer piece of finished teak at that time 😁
What do I need to keep ready fr installations wen they come..new first time user..pls help
Thinking of silver 25k one n brown 25 k one..if anyone can help pls..no idea
Really nice detailed and above all useful review. Good to note that this 7116A comes with options to unlock with Fingerprint, RFID Card, Bluetooth, Pincode & Manual Key.
A couple of things:
a) Am a little confused about the Yale Wifi Bridge and Yale Bluetooth Module. On both Amazon (link you provided) and the YaleOnline store, they state that the Module & Bridge are optional with 7116A while you mentioned that the bridge comes with the "A". Is there anyway that we can confirm this. Don't want to be in a situation where I either end up with an extra set of module & bridge after purchasing them separately or not having any after excluding them from the cart.
b) You also talk of being within Bluetooth range to change/ create new codes. Does that mean I cannot create an instant code when I'm not near home?
c) Can I unlock the door with my phone when I am in front of the lock without the Bluetooth Module and / or Bridge? Are both necessary?
d) Can I unlock the door with my phone when I am NOT AT HOME using the App if I have the Bridge & Module?
e) Lastly, would you know if the 4109, 4109+ and 4109A are all the same except for possible addition of module / bridge?
Thank and lot in advance.
Thank you and your absolutely right the WiFi bridge is sold as an accessory. Atleast as of now I see that it's mentioned as an additional accessory.
Having said that you can unlock the door with the App anywhere in the world. You can also use Alexa or Google home to unlock the doors once you pair it with the Yale app
also, one more question that I want to clarify does the lock work on both the side opening doors? if yes then how do we turn the handle from right to left?
So there is an option to interchange the sides while fixing this
Hi, Very detailed review. Had a question on the Automatic vs Manual Feature. Does this mean that when "manual" is selected. the lock will work as a normal mortice. That is it can be opened any time from inside or outside, without any access code. It has to be explicity locked to secure it
Also, how is the physical Auto/manual button on the door handle, different from the app controlled option.
Thank you 👍 well in this lock there's no automatic to manual switch over button as such... This does function as a normal handle lock all the time. The auto button is only to enable automatic lock in 5 seconds.... That's about it. App only controls the secure lock ... Door Handle in this is a stand alone device.
Thnx for the quick response. My requirement is that say for the whole day I don't want any access control. Just a plain simple door handle.
But at night or when I am away, I want to activate the access control fingerprint.
Hence I wanted to know if the auto vs manual helps in this scenario
Does this come with bluetooth module as well as WiFi Link bridge?
The lock has a bluetooth module, which connects to a Bridge that has both Bluetooth and wifi
Hi sir, question, will the yale link bridge connect to YDM7116A without the bluetooth module? Thank you
Yes it does...
Could you please explain how to use the 9V baterry?
Pull down the front cover and directly insert the 9V battery .. align the pins and it will be a snug fit.. post that the lock will be operational
Do u have the link for buying this smart lock Black colour in India?
It's out of stock unfortunately 😕
I can modify this so it can have direct supply with no battery right
Yeah good idea actually.. but there is no provision
Does alexa also applicable for YDM7116?
Yes I think it works but you need to get a wifi bridge
Can this lock work with double door?
Nope
Of course, this can work when reinforce a door
Does this work on Apple Homekit?
Not sure
if you can selfhost home assistant , yes it will work with homekit
Can i lock this door from inside ?
Yes and you can lock from inside and outside and with the app as well and also if you want it to automatically lock it will do that too
Alexa has an indian accent option too?
Was it indian accent? 🤔 dint notice
@@rtechreviews Yeah! @0:50 "What's your (W)oice code for main door?" The distinctive way Indians pronounce V as W.
Not sure how safe that is.
Looks to have its own weak cylinder as an mechanical override and only one slit that actually keeps the doors locked vs many modern doors use...
Hope this is safe
Very long & boring video
