I read the first three chapters and ITS LITERALLY EVERYTHING I ASKED FOR AND MORE!!! so so good and such interesting world building and characters, I love it
Man I'm feeling old now that shounen like BC, MHA, JJK and others are either over or entering their last days... it just makes me wonder what will be the next big manga to replace them
After seeing many manga I hoped would make it taken out of commission, I have such high hopes for this one. -the protagonist -power system -potential for world building It could be great
My friend literally showed me this video last year and I hold it off until finally watching this today (when I was writing this early Jan) and I can see why he wants me to see this video and now this is going into a playlist (including one for Cartoons and Anime (and manga and etc))
19:32 This reminds of that Lord of the Rings Prophecy about the WitchKing. 😂 He states that no man can kill him. Then Eowyn takes off her helmet and reveals herself to be a woman. She says, “I am no man.” Then she kills him with a sword. Lol
It’s because men as far as the witches know men don’t have the aptitude for it That’s all Obviously the protagonist could be a the start of a shift. It’s just chapter 1 so gotta wait and see
From what I can gather men in the universe don't have magic aptitude, so the word wizard/warlock don't exist because there hasn't been a man to have magical abilities
Yeah, the term “warlock” is male equivalent of “witch” in many fantasy settings, but i almost never see the term “warlock” being used in anime/manga. Meanwhile, the term “wizard”, from what i am aware of, is gender-neutral. It can be used for both male and female. Fairy Tail is an example for it. Btw, i posted another comment in this video, explaining why the term “warlock” should be used for the MC. Glad to see there is another person mentioning the same topic.😂
I kinda wonder if the whole heart thing is a unique trait or trial ,or if a witch can a majiks power by just killing them ,or maybe are all majiks forced to make a trial to gain there power
Yea I never heard of any of the artist nor their manga , probably bc it wasn’t my type of anime but this looks promising 3:22 and not surprised, no wonder manga has so many disgusting tropes about kids
In my opinion, the title could be translated as "Ichi the warlock" instead of "Ichi the witch". The term "witch" is mostly used for females who practice witchcraft. Meanwhile, males who practice witchcraft aka "man-witch" are called as "warlocks". In fantasy setting, a warlock is considered male counterpart of a witch, according to wikipedia. The original title of the manga is 魔男のイチ (Madan no Ichi). 魔男(Madan) is kinda a made-up word by the author, because if you search the word 魔男(Madan) up on google, there is almost no usage of it in any context. In Japanese, 魔女(Majo) is the translation of "witch" from English. The kanji 男(otoko) means "man", while the kanji 女(onna) means "woman". 魔男(Madan) and 魔女(Majo) are basically "gender" counterparts of each other. Therefore, think the word 魔男(Madan) should be translated as "warlock". I mean, the MC is the only male witch out there, so the title "warlock" fits him. Besides, while the term "witch" has been being used in various animanga settings, i almost never see the term "warlock" being used. Well, that does make sense because male-witch characters in animanga are rare. Yeah, i'm nitpicking here, lol.
It’s def a bit sexist or something. The magic system clearly has an agenda. Because the power even thou it came from a man , and went to another man it still took the form of a female witch . Which didn’t really make sense to me

That’s part of the fun and suspense of newer series being released
It is a cool manga. The main character is interesting, and i would love to learn more about how the power set work

Great first chapter
Bro are we js gonna ignore the drip
Hate the drip to be honest, it's to tacky. I like his base uniform he just acquired in the recent chapters
19:32 This reminds of that Lord of the Rings Prophecy about the WitchKing. 😂
He states that no man can kill him. Then Eowyn takes off her helmet and reveals herself to be a woman. She says, “I am no man.”
Then she kills him with a sword. Lol
Read Both current chapters and I gotta say we're in for an interesting ride, it's got my vote
This looks pretty Great 😄😁
So I gathered (the term) “warlocks” or “wizards” don’t exist in this universe? Because it’s weird or strange for men to use magic apparently
It’s because men as far as the witches know men don’t have the aptitude for it
That’s all
Obviously the protagonist could be a the start of a shift. It’s just chapter 1 so gotta wait and see
That’s why they call them Warlocks
I like this :)

Yessir🎉
I like it keep up the coverage
I hope this gets a anime
I give it 20-40 chapters, honestly. Hope it passes that mark.
Neat 😁
SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!!
I kinda wonder if the whole heart thing is a unique trait or trial ,or if a witch can a majiks power by just killing them ,or maybe are all majiks forced to make a trial to gain there power
Cant wait for more

Good first chapter
I'm here for The Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Gachiakuta and now... Ichi The Witch 🎉🎉🎉
Yea I never heard of any of the artist nor their manga , probably bc it wasn’t my type of anime but this looks promising 3:22 and not surprised, no wonder manga has so many disgusting tropes about kids
Not only for kids...
Could a character named Mordred appear in the Four Knights Of The Apocalypse manga ?
Series seems cool but it hasn’t peaked my interest. Maybe I should give it some more time

🙂👍❤️
So ichi is not wizard man i wish he the only wizard in their universe
Yeah for real, it would be cool if they create the term "wizard" for Ichi thus making Ichi the first wizard

?
What?
? The main character is still a guy tho, he's just called a witch 'cause they don't have any other terms for magic users in the manga's world
Shonan is in trouble if they think this is the next big series. This looks mid as hell
If you read the new series and know who’s working on it you’d have some faith
No this shit is awful in my opinion
