Jiraiya could’ve been able to escape but in his final moments he remembered his dear student Naruto and he remembered Naruto’s greatest words to never give up is his nindo way. So as his teacher he couldn’t give up to pain and that’s when he decided to become what a true Shinobi is
Asuma, Itachi, Jiraiya, Kakashi (he did die) These deaths and the accompanying arcs coming one after another were peak Naruto for me. Everything before these moments was just setting up for the darker tone the show would take.

Can we live in peace in a real world of trust, happy new year. I hope that one day everybody or most of the part will realise that we are 1 at the end.
