The wooden box was a shoeshine box. The paste, brushes and cloths go inside. My dad had one when I was growing up!
The shoe shine box was CUTE! You need a boot jack.... helps off with boots....love, love your thrift and family videos

I would try a hardware store for replacement parts. Take your bottom lamp to make sure it fits 👍👍

That is the base for oil lamp and you can get parts at Walmart amazon and chimneys at thrift stores or Michael's or turn into a lamp
Great oil lamp base. Go to hardware store to buy extras for it. It is hard to find good shaped ones like this. The narrow portion is a hand hold. Good find for sure.

what you are looking for is called a Boot Jack. We had an antique iron one shaped like a long-horn beetle. Check out some vintage online shops such as Left Coast Revivals

There's so many things I would have gotten: the green dishes, little chest, the four matching dining room chairs, gather memories sign, the bell glass and the kitty pillow though my husband would kill me for it. (I'm not allowed to get anymore because I have "Too many". Your family is awesome and I hope you all (and Piper!) have a great Christmas!

Yes, the bottom of an oil lamp. You need the collar and chimney. Google it... it will help you to measure, etc....That was a good price and I love them too .. I have been looking at them on EBay and Etsy!

I collect oil lamps and I get the stuff you need for it either at Walmart or Tractor Supply Co. Other hardware stores too.

It is an oil lamp or kerosene lap. You can do some checking on Google for all parts including chimneys. Just ask for wicks and burners.
You can get parts for your lamp at a hardware store.
Oil lamp burner - 2 parts a “cap” that goes on the glass base and then the burner/ wick holder that then screws into the “cap part” - Amazon

@@ThrilledThrifter I've gotten oil lamp parts at my local ACE hardware store (which is 25 miles east of me).
It is an oil lamp, you can buy the parts for it either on line or check your hardware store. Home Depot has them, Ebay has them, Life and Home had them for $4.50. And you are right I live in a small town in the mountains in Arizona and we have a Goodwill up here and they are WAY overpriced on things.
Looks like someone needs to clean and organize that store. That picture with the dog on the bed is a very expensive piece of art! I have it over my bed and I love it!

OMG Julie, you have such a beautiful family! I swear I'd need a convoy of shopping carts going through this store. Try an ace hardware for lamp parts. Or there is an antique mall off 2920 and 45, I have seen vintage lamp parts in one of the booths there.

When you were looking at the base for the oil lamp there were two vases and they are exactly what I’m looking for darn why do I have to be a Massachusetts
Ever since you mentioned that all little wood racks/benches have heart cut outs in the wood; that’s all I seem to notice now. You are absolutely right. Heart cut outs everywhere!

Living in a small town you may be able to get the parts for your oil lamp at the hardware store. Just take the lamp with you so you get one that fits.

That little basket is really cute. And the oil lamp base is amazing. I'm wanting to do a craft project with an oil lamp and here in Kentucky a full oil lamp runs about $30 or so. I would say 5.99 is pretty good price for the base! Just found your channel. Happy New Year!!

You should be able to find the lamp parts at a hardware store. I think it’s beautiful and a good price for it at 5.99!
Love the pier 1 ornament. I would picked up the oil lantern base. I have extra tops but not sure where to find the wick part. Maybe Target or At Home.
