- 3700+ Critters sing along with the opening theme to Critical Role. Recorded live at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, 2/27/20. Some people in this audience waited more than an hour in sub-freezing temperatures for a show that started more than 90 minutes late because of logistical issues. This is how they responded when things finally started.
Chicago Critters Represent! We love you guys for what you share with us!
Hearing the “critical role” chant at the beginning was surreal.

This is what Twitch missed out on. There you can barely hear the crowd singing along, which hardly gives this (critical) justice. Thank you for posting this, I love watching crowd reactions to certain events.
actually after the first time the audience sang along wich they didn't expect they have included the audience singing on the twitch streamed version
i cant imagine what it feels for the cast, it gives me goosebumps anyway, i cant begin to imagine how it feels for the cast
Yea just to think from being a bunch of voice actor friends playing D&D at home to now being the biggest ambassadors for the game and having millions of fans from around the world. Must have been even more surreal watching the sea of fans singing the theme song live. Epic
Goosebumps Still every time !!!
Every time the community surprises these guys, you can see their humility. Never did they imagine people would respond so strongly to their weekly game. It's beautiful how they respond every time.
GOD I LOVE BEING A NERD AND A FAN OF THIS
What a crowd.
This is never going to get old and never going to not be awesome! Amazing people are the Critters!
Every time there's a live show form now on, this happens.
Its sad we don't get the full effect on stream, but then we can go here.
Ah yes, back in the olden times of live shows and large gatherings. Those were the days.
*cries at a social distance*
Sad they’re now pretty much extinct
This is so awesome! I loved the guy who shouted "Mighty Nein!" at the beginning. This campaign and these characters have meant a lot to me, and I hope I am fortunate enough to meet the cast and thank them in person one day. Thank you for uploading this and giving us what the streams don't!
1:33 THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. THE 3 PART BUILD UP. *GOOSEBUMPS.*
I only just discovered Critical Role last February, why is this making me tear up already??
We ensnare you fast my friend
It was so fucking cold waiting in line for hours to get into the building. Show was great. Prolly their last ever live show. Covid hit like a month later. Crazy.
It WAS cold as F. But worth it. I got there just as the 2 lines met on the back corner. Shutdowns for Covid started within 3 weeks (in the U.S. at least) after this, but most of my friends and family started distancing the week after.
Bidet from Michigan!
Lmfao. Last ever? If stadiums have been packed again over a year now they can throw another live event.
They’re doing a mighty nein reunion in London this October!
WHY DO I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES
Its natural man.
Because the promise of an intense life, s life of vibrancy and wonder, of deeds that matter, is juxtaposed with " lives of quiet desperation ".
Heck, Hecate, your screen name is that of the greek goddess of Fate and Big Decisions. And you're hearing her.
You know why you got those tears.
And, I have those same tears in my eyes, too.
.....So did i, so did i....
ROLL THE DICE
( LONG MAY HE REIGN )
OMG I DIDN’T KNOW THERE WAS THAT MANY PEOPLE!!! Dang...
It was so fun being there to watch it live!
awesome content
I think it'd be so cool if one half of the auditorium sang "Critical" and the other sang "Role"
In the 2019 Gen Con Live show when this all started - the audience did. It was pretty amazing how everyone just played off each other.
I.
LOVE.
THIS.
COMMUNITY.
Tbf it was expected to sing its a karaoke version.
@@cait812 it's still awesome
makes me cry every time lol
Wether I hear this song live or in my AirPods; whenever I hear the lyric "Put your fate in your hands, take a chance, roll the dice" I always have to make a gesture as if I'm rolling dice.
November 2020 calling
watching this and getting so fucken hyped for the mn reunion in october!!!!!
Still brings a tear to my eye
I like to think of this as an army of critters
That was an epic night!
