I’m at a loss as to why there are boats 50, 100, 500 meters “behind.” It appears boats are pretty much on same lines, have very similar hulls, sails and crew. Perhaps wide angle lens exaggerates distances...
@@Happ465 Yes. Another sailor highlighted similar points, adding that’s why starts are so important (get clean air, and choose lines optimally rather than as a reaction to lead boat.)

The transitions on the Quantum boat are just better. They also position the boat very well to disturb the air of the other boats.
