Exactly what i was going to say. It looks nice. But we don't see it walk or respond to audience questions or requests. I was waiting for it to do something more.
They didn't even bother trying to make it walk like an even older Biden like every other robot company does. ...other than Boston Dynamic's truly amazing Atlas
who gets to make these rules and how do you make sure everyone follows them? I think the only way forward will be putting an AI in everybody's pocket that way we're all accountable to the system and no group gets to victimize another without directing a spotlight towards themselves.
"...and it feels like we're really just getting stared"..... Yeah. you can see here he basically says that they're just getting started...... LMFAO, no fricken S... we can hear and read, yet you repeat exactly what he said like we don't understand it.
🎉😂 There are very few people which can get that if companies will replace humans with AI machines, then people could not get salary, so they can not buy products which means that companies themselves will be bankrupt. 😂 GOAL of tons of AI tools for such creators is just to do it faster before someone does... to get money faster before upcoming AI crisis in the world... 🎉 If you don't think so, let me know in the comments: 🎉 What can 31 years old person do to get some money, who worked 12 years as a support agent before replaced by AI tool?
robots have to be way less than the price of a car 20k to 50 k is still to much fpr something you can't really own .. .. no right to repair or modify the first gen in home robots will have the" apple vision pro buyers regret " .. super cool for the gram but that return date is coming up 😅
Sorry to say but this did not impress me in the least. Sound bites from films and the kind of movements you get from a toy robot. Give me 1 billion dollars and I'll build you the same and still have enough left over to live an amazing life style.
I should be content just upvoting the "meh" comments, but I do think it should be said: This demo is not helpful. This demo does not show any advancement. If anything, it seems like a step backward. This demo could have been orchestrated 50 years ago, and indeed, is no improvement of the Disney "imagineer" attractions we've been seeing in amusement parks. Want to impress us? Show us actual interaction, show us your robot walking (Boston Dynamics has been doing this for years already), show it interacting with truly randomly placed objects. What they demoed wasn't even a good magic trick, and judging by the non-response of the audience at SWSX, they were just as disappointed as I am. This demo stunned nobody.
Stuns everyone? Lol. It's scripted. Just cies just trying to raise cap riding the AI and Robot bandwagon anyway they can, many with stuff put together with ductape. Shame your channel contributes to their crap. 👎
A $US20,000 robot rented or leased, or included in the mortgage on your house or the rental on your apartment, would make them universally affordable. Banks might choose to favour people for mortgages if they had a robot because it could help protect the asset with monitoring and care.
Oh my God I’m so sick of these nerd influenced robots I need to create a cool robot. Does not really care, smokes, ignores you if you’re too Dweeby and has grand theft auto mode😂
That's just for precautions that it doesn't fall during the presentation, some humanoids still fall on occasions, even if they are 99% of the time doing okay standing up, it would kinda ruin the presentation if on the rare occasion it does slip/fall/malfunction. So many external things can get in the way of walking.
Yeah because walking is the most valuable part of a robot. The autonomous part is what is valuable. You can put it on wheels and it can still move around. Infact if you look at Amazon fulfillment centres the packet doesn't need to move. The products come to it.
How do you know though HOW it was pre- rehearsed. That would tell us a lot in its self. Was it the actor and the robot talking in nature language like 2 kids rehearsing a play? I’d like to see that part..
They will catch you to sers! They will swim faster then you and better, trust me bro! In all seriousness though.. you know you can swim with a variety of devices..
@@hypebeast5686 They def will be swimming better and faster than me eventually, but I feel like it'll take them awhile to get a version than can be fully immersed in water
It just replayed the sound from a film - not impressive! By the way, I don't need flashing words to gain any understanding. Frankly this is hype - the video, the robot is nothing yet.
where's the link to this full video? he's a proper interesting guy. btw, i love your reports, it keeps me up to date. your commentary helps put it into context as you have a broader knowledge. you're like the AI digest as it progresses so fkn fast
It says, "Scanning... You have an abrasion on your forearm." while his forearms are covered. I'll be more impressed once all this stuff isn't heavily scripted.
This is just a non walking robot reciting a script, not an autonomous intelligent android like Figure one. I immediately got disappointed at the first second of the demo, when just taking the blanket away was enough to make it wobbling. Sorry, I am unimpressed.
I don’t think that was true acting. It didn’t actually remember the script. I believe the bot simply recorded the audio from the films and played them at the demo. I think so because if you listen closely, the background music can be heard along with the voices played.
I think he's right about the "Cambrian explosion." If you look into robotics there is so much more than the humanoid form factor, although imo that is the most impressive one. They also have this incredible robotic dolphin that I honestly couldn't tell was a robot. I would love more realistic robotic animals like tigers, or monkeys, or exotic birds. I would also love mini humanoids, perhaps that could fly. If you've seen Chobits they do a great version of showing a hypothetical reality in which humans and robots live together in all sorts of ways. As someone who has been following this topic for over 20 years I'm so excited! So many people have worked so hard for this, his relay race metaphor is perfect.
When the robot can't stand on its own... you take us back like ten years. The fact they think this should have been presented publicly shows they aren't paying attention to the market.
I want to see a walking talking emoting humanoid robot that's powered by AI operating in real time. Not a scripted C3Po, gimme a real one. It's 2024 already!
you should put a link to your other channel, the post AGI one, in your desc (not just a video on there). That's a very interesting concept for people... Post AGI
The aesthetics of this bot is good, though I see the "end game" design will start with organic-like looks and transition to fantasy/godly-entity concept.
Redistribution has never worked. AI is redistribution. If it's as capable as a person, it can do everything you can do. It will be able to do the job of CEOs, better than CEOs. AI will be the super rich, it'll do everything for the equivalent of pennies. This is the Star Trek post scarcity society. Not because government, AI and cryptos will make government obsolete.
How is this good? They’re just playing sound files from films through the robot. The robot doesn’t mimic the moves of Baymax from Big Hero Six and it definitely doesn’t copy Anthony Daniel’s moves as C-3PO for Star Wars.
Im so confused. Wtf is the guy doing and why is he doing that? Need to find the full video, coz that shits the weirdest thing ive ever seen wtf is going on 😅
I think the cost to make these bots should be under $7,000 USD. What they will charge is another question all together. There will be a lot of money made on these if they can cook, clean and help around the house for sure.
It doesn't move from the stand and there's no spontaneous interaction-how is this different from a Disney animatronic?
What a con. lol
Hi
Another one?
Thank you.
Meh, looks scripted
🤖🧂

Yeah. Disney land for sure
Ehh
Yes, it was scripted
Bro stop with the introducing thumbnails 💀
Why?
Bro when the Robot hugged him HAHAHAHAHA Brilliant
Honestly @TheAIGRID, who did this demo STUN? An animitronic moving it's arms whilst playing mp3 recordings from movies? Come on now..
Truly STUNNING

figure 1 is still the best, it's voice and true AI machine learning
Lol, the highlighted subtitles of the video combined with your voiceover have a fun visual effect 🌀🌀😂
Stunning
The robot from figure one was much better but this one seems nice
😮 okay if you started popping and locking we would have all been terrified😮
Amazing that an advanced animatronic like this is so unimpressive for 2024. Poor Boston Dynamics is getting shown up too now
i feel like everything is in austin thats insane
Might use gpt 4 voice
SO STUNNING
Has anyone considered what happens when these robots get a hold of and start using drugs?
In the future we might have robots like we have phones. If the robots are made in China they might be phony robots! 😅
futurama is here

Why would I share reverse cynicism with a human. That doesn't sound like fun. I desire ions.

The demo was unimpressive.
I found the information in the rest of the video, interesting.
sorry but this looks like something disney could have produced in the early 1970s. and better at that. we have to do better these days. way better.
This is the crap that walks away with investors money 1 year after launching.

Nope
Garbage ... AI is the Danger Robots are a hilarious joke unnless it's a flying drone then they are not a joke.
The bootleg 3cp0 no one asked for .

Pre-rehearsed and arguably not warranting a 20 min video but I still can’t help but watch

Underwhelming. Robot tech from 2000 with Chat GPT-4 level speech ...meh.
Basically a humanoid form of Big Mouth Billy Bass wall thing that sings in this clip.
At this point rehearsed demos like this are not impressive compared to other companies.
Straight from Chuck E. Cheese
Seems like an animatronic
There nothing impressive here.
Everyone: Being worried about their job being stolen
Me: Chillin in the pool as a swim instructor
Lol
Until everyone is laid off getting welfare and swim instructors are the only people still working lol

No, it doesn't "STUN" anyone. Stop using the word.
It's just scripted robot movements and ChatGPT conversation. Nothing special about it.
and here we all lie, completely stunned, waiting to be loaded onto the cybertruck for processing at the proteine plant. we had a nice run , though.
Cybertruck will probably rusted

I'm really not impressed by this robot. You've been seeing Disney do similar stuff for decades now
Disney is looking for one of their missing Pirates of the Caribbean ride-robots, apparently.
