Well the actual deeper message is about the consequences of nuclear energy and testing. Shin isn't a monster or a devil. It's an animal that is in constant unending agony. So it's lashing out at everything around it.
I like how they discover early on that it feeds on and is basically a living reactor, yet their final contingency (had the coagulant not worked) was to blast it with it's own power source and potentially supercharge it.
It most likely would have worked. In fact, what I expected they'd do when they discovered it was nuclear-powered was the opposite of what actually happened, damage Godzilla's internal cooling system and cause it to overheat and melt down. A nuclear strike probably would have had a similar effect, assuming it didn't just vaporise the creature.

The best idea would probably be to remove the radiation coming from his body. It is the only thing supplying him with sufficient energy to even move around. If I had to guess, it is probably the dorsal plates that are containing a majority of his energy, notice that they are present in every one of his forms. There is no reason for those to be there, in his fourth form, the only time we see them be of any use is finally shooting out atomic beams from the dorsals. Remove those, and he might just die, a creature like that cannot survive, move, anything really if it doesn’t have enough energy. Another thing, it’s probably his body itself that acts like a nuclear reactor, generating all that energy for his body, but if the dorsal plates contain all that energy, it would just leak out. Either he would just die, or it may be an endless cycle of it leaking out, being absorbed back in, with more generated, but then leaked back out. Now that I’ve thought about it, there really isn’t much that can be done to kill or stop him. Heh, might as well just hurling him into the sun, that’ll… probably kill him? i like the part in the movie when the prime minister was like hey theres no big monster no one panick. the dude comes on stage and whispers in his ear and in the microphone he is all like wait theres what now
That was a great break down. I did have a thought about a possible way to deal with Godzilla in this sense. Since it's drawn to the radiation of the chemical plants, it should be possible to move what's inside while Godzilla is trying to recharge. Take the radiation either out to sea or a massive empty area, when Godzilla wakes up he should follow. Then hit it with the freezing it in place plan.
Good idea, but what's really stopping shin from evolving to not need radiation. It could just evolved into tiny creatures that are able to survive off of oxygen. Also chances are you wont be able to drain all it's radiation, and only one cells needs to survive for him to regrow later. At best you can only really contain him and that's probably temporary.
@villager736 true, but at this stage Godzilla still needs radiation to continue evolving at this point. He never reached his I guess final form. Which means baiting him might still work. As for the spawns coming from the tail, it's hard to tell if they could survive without the radiation.
@@chrisgamer9099 I'm not really talking about the tail creatures I'm referring to his induvial cells. They need a lot less radiation to survive, multiply like crazy speeding up their evolution, and can just go dormmate until there is enough food. So it's not really stretch for their cells to mutate into something that does not need radiation and could just run on oxygen alone.
12:02 that only works because of the pressure difference. Sure, you can inject it with nitrogen in the surface but that doesn't have anything to do with atmospheric pressure.
Well this Godzilla actually evolved from a frilled shark meaning in it's unseen first form it was a marine animal that later evolved cus of the nuke stuff

its so sad seeing the monster being in such pain. it never deserved to suffer while its cells are constantly changing. all the roaring is its crys in pain, infact a deleted scene was where it vomited blood. it didnt even understand why it was being attacked. shin never deserved this. it was just a marine creature who got insanely unlucky. i feel so bad for it.
Bro.. would you feel bad for a giant world ending beast crying in pain and vomiting blood even after it killed thousands of people. And yes, it is a very unlucky marine creature but still.. why would a fish (marine creature) just randomly decide it’s gonna shoot lasers at people because it just slightly scratched his skin.

@@CarnotaurusEnjoyer I mean.. in a state of panic it would probably hurt people, but in its last phase (that we see in the film) it’s purposefully killing anything that gets in its way, even though most animals will only kill something if it attacks first, and will normally ignore something (unless it’s food) because stopping for a kill isn’t really worth wasting time to spawn egg, breed, or even just migrate. Also.. if this statement is false sorry, cause I’m saying this based of all the nature documentaries I’ve seen
,,If you where trapped in Tokyo while an enormous nuclear powered mutant reptile was destroying the entire city, what would you do?" Me:Get the living hell auta Tokyo while its not there
Godzilla nerd mode. If I’m not mistaken, the cooling plan would work because Shin Godzilla has the power to regenerate from like only like one piece of his flesh last time I looked up
I think they should have shot an HE tank round into the gills of the second stage that would cause an explosion inside the creature or just fire AP artillery into the face/eyes

Yeah the capabilities of Shin Godzilla are just way too OP. It's like if grey goo had already had the time to convert a large mass like the moon and then started attacking Earth. I mean it literally just evolves shit in 60 minutes that counters the strategies from the most advanced species on the planet who's been developing knowledge and tech for 10,000 years and more. It spits out a beam of radiation so powerful and destructive it may not even be hyperbole to say Shin Godzilla has its own fucking Quasar inside of it, and then on top of that you can't even kill it. What's more, it literally breaks the laws of thermodynamics by being able to produce infinite energy out of very finite matter, which means it's so OP it literally just breaks the universe. There would be no point in trying to destroy it because it would just evolve a counter or immunity like SARS off 50gs of cocaine and 25 liters of 5 Hour Energy.
I have to disagree with the idea of throwing any nukes at it. if it feeds off of nuclear radiation, that would only make it stronger since after the initial blast, a large amount of radiation would permeate the area helping to recharge it faster. the best plan would be constant injections of the coagulate and transporting it to the northern arctic ocean and dropping it there since the below freezing temperature would prevent it from waking up

When the US and Japan agree to try and nuke Godzilla/Gojira, the movie actually made me feel the unspeakable sadness that they felt at the notion of the US dropping yet another nuke on Japan.
I really hope that someday we get the original concept for this movie. That being a normal godzilla mutating and dividing across the movie. Or just some sort of sequel.

OMG someone who actually names weapons in a movie!!!!
@villager736 what counts as food in this situation?
@@chrisgamer9099 Normal cell stuff I guess?
12:02 that only works because of the pressure difference. Sure, you can inject it with nitrogen in the surface but that doesn't have anything to do with atmospheric pressure.

i get so calmed by hearing you explain the tectonic plates for some reason
The only Godzilla despite being intimidating...I can't take seriously because of it's eyes...
The eyes!!!!
Well this Godzilla actually evolved from a frilled shark meaning in it's unseen first form it was a marine animal that later evolved cus of the nuke stuff

Here’s my suggestion:
Step one: build big ass rocket
Step two: put gojira in big ass rocket
Step three: give big ass rocket to the sun
How are you gonna get him to enter big a#% rocket.?
@@spirit13the1st6 I don’t know 😂
How is that gonna work Godzilla just gonna destroy it easily
Also even if you get him into space he can just feed on all the fancy radiation in space and blast his way back to earth, or to some other planet where he can evolve into something truly invincible before making his way back to earth.
@@villager736 I’m pretty sure “Resistant to 15,000,000+° C heat” isn’t in the list of Mutations it has. Plus it would be in a vacuum… it would implode…
By the By rail guns aren't theoretical they are VERY much a real thing. just we havent been able to design it in such a way that it doesnt rip itself apart when we shoot.
THAT ENDING THO? THE HUMANOID FORMS EMRGING FROM THE TAIL? Is a sequel to this movie confirmed? Cause I gotta know what potentially terrifying direction the writers are gonna take that

Nuke Godzilla, huh? Yeah, hitting the nuclear energy fueled lizard with a giant blast of nuclear energy sounds like a terrific idea. Can you tell I’m being sarcastic? Because I am. It’s a terrible idea
“Mother? What’s a bad idea?”
“A bad idea is hitting a radioactive lizard that feeds on radiation and nuclear energy to fuel its power and its hyper-adaptabilities with a massive amount of nuclear energy to try to kill it which would 99.9% fail and make everything worse, dear”
its so sad seeing the monster being in such pain. it never deserved to suffer while its cells are constantly changing. all the roaring is its crys in pain, infact a deleted scene was where it vomited blood. it didnt even understand why it was being attacked. shin never deserved this. it was just a marine creature who got insanely unlucky. i feel so bad for it.
Bro.. would you feel bad for a giant world ending beast crying in pain and vomiting blood even after it killed thousands of people.
And yes, it is a very unlucky marine creature but still.. why would a fish (marine creature) just randomly decide it’s gonna shoot lasers at people because it just slightly scratched his skin.
@@Raiya.Merlyan its not really that its trying to remove the pain by giving it to others and its just in general panicking, yes it would be bad its killed loads of people but i would still feel bad for it.
Yes, even more so@@Raiya.Merlyan
@@CarnotaurusEnjoyer I mean.. in a state of panic it would probably hurt people, but in its last phase (that we see in the film) it’s purposefully killing anything that gets in its way, even though most animals will only kill something if it attacks first, and will normally ignore something (unless it’s food) because stopping for a kill isn’t really worth wasting time to spawn egg, breed, or even just migrate.
Also.. if this statement is false sorry, cause I’m saying this based of all the nature documentaries I’ve seen
@@Raiya.MerlyanI mean fighter jets were dropping tons of bombs on it I’m pretty that would warrant a defense mechanism

Make "How to beat The demon in THE NUN II" Have a damn good day
In his second form, he isn’t terrifying, his beauty is just to great for us to understand.
I think they should have shot an HE tank round into the gills of the second stage that would cause an explosion inside the creature or just fire AP artillery into the face/eyes
Came to watch a godzilla how to beat and learnt amazing earthquake survival skills instead. Bonus content.
Ants vs growing human baby:
Meanwhile legendary Godzilla during this whole ordeal:
“ you guys got this. I’ll just nap under water “
Imo they should turn the city into a massive cage for the frozen godzilla and keep him constantly cold... and test him to try and kill him
26:50 He just looks pissed off to being shot at
33:06 "Damn it, you interrupted my nap!"
isn't it in other godzilla movies, they revived gojira using a nuke? so I think it would be a bad idea to bomb it.. and the problem with your solutions like the railgun and the satellite that drops pole-sized rods are they are all experimental AFAIK..
9:56 stage 2 godzilla is my favorite form of godzilla. it really looks like a young fish, with legs. It is also horrendously formed, sort of like a nuclear byproduct.
37:52 Shin was like "Nah i aint dying today" and shin has an radar in HIS BODY THAT CAN PREDICT MISILES FOR 10K AWAY
Honestly the poor boi needs a hug
What if after they froze godzilla they tried to slowly cut it apart using super high pressured jets of water? If it works, then Godzilla not likely to come back. If it doesn’t, then at least they tried
If it doesn't work, it may have a chance to evolve into many different Godzillas from each of the pieces like worms irl
thats a recipe for disaster, every single cut off piece will become a separate godzilla
I like how every forgets shin would never get hit by a nuke in the first place at least not directly he'd literally just shoot it out of the sky
Imagine if shin never died, Imagine what he would be right now.
First time seeing your reviews.... Love it you do an amazing job. You probably herd this a thousand times. But you look like Kevin Owens. Keep up the amazing work much love
Napalm would be a good idea, since it can't be put out and should damage Godzilla long enough to finish him.
Especially in the earlier stages when it overheats

Shin Godzilla is one of my favorite Godzilla’s
Edit my top 3 favorite Godzilla’s are Godzilla Earth Shin Godzilla and Monsterverse Godzilla
12:06 in the new movie they tried using atmospheric pressure and it didn’t work because he instantly started healing
Now if the creature came to reproduce, you're gonna have a bad time!
And its about to turn into a bloodbath ”At the speed of light starts playing”
It would be really cool if you did the monsterverse! great vid
I have to disagree with the idea of throwing any nukes at it. if it feeds off of nuclear radiation, that would only make it stronger since after the initial blast, a large amount of radiation would permeate the area helping to recharge it faster. the best plan would be constant injections of the coagulate and transporting it to the northern arctic ocean and dropping it there since the below freezing temperature would prevent it from waking up
Imagine they accidentally hit it with a tsar bomba
