I enjoyed your review, Grace. They have reformulated the primer. It is better than the previous iteration. In fact, they reformulated their cream primer too which is lovely. The loose and pressed powders are the best available. One of the ingredients that allows this foundation to be many things to many people is polymethylsilsesquioxane. It is like a magician because it: Masks and blurs wrinkles, effectively absorbs sebum, provide good surface slip, and provides anti-caking properties. That is how the foundation lasts so long and stays beautifully radiant. Trimethysiloxysilocate is another ingredient helping it feel velvety and weightless on your skin and maintain a poreless appearance helping the brand meet its brand promise of long wear time. Japanese brands like Clé De Peau are years ahead of Western brands. One other thing of note: Clé De Peau foundations do not, as a rule, tone up which means: they do not get darker on the skin. People confuse this with “Oxidation” which is when something turns orange. The closest Western brand to this is Surratt’s Dew Drop which was made in Japan. It is a lovely formula and a beautiful foundation but it does not have the longevity. That is the genius of the foundation and why it is worth the $130.00 price. Clé De Peau has done what very few brands have managed to do;this is a foundation for everyone. No matter your skin type, undertone, or shade this foundation is for you. It takes very little and it goes on beautifully.

I am a 30 in Chanel shades but I ordered 020 in this foundation. I haven’t received it but am eager to receive it. I am normally foundation twin with Erin Nicole ( check out her channel) but she got B30 for this foundation and the underdone was a bit too pink and dark for her. She’s normally an o30. 😘
Cle de Peau powders are beautiful. Their light, they diffuse. They set your face perfectly and throughout the day they keep your skin brightened. I’m a huge fan!

Great review Grace! Cle de Peau does make beautiful complexion products so I expected this foundation to be good. I have dry skin, so I wonder how it would work for me? Love your reviews! You mentioned that some powders darken your concealed spots and I've noticed that too!! But my spots aren't in places where a blush makes sense (closer to eyes). Any suggestions for powders that will set the concealer without re-exposing the dark spot?
🌸This seems to be a common issue for those of us with dark spots. I wonder if it might work to use a peach colored powder on top if your powder re-exposes the darkness. The By Terry in light peach works well for me. Also, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders work to blur for me as well.

Happy to purchased this foundation and in the perfect shade being B10 Im fair to light with a rose undertone...When it matched me to beige I was concerned because I think TAN when it comes to beige BUT I guess this brand refrences BEIGE to a red/pink/rose undertone *) So happy I went with Beige and not Ochre since Ochre is a neutral undertone....TRULY STUNNING FOUNDATION and feels like Im wearing nothing with the perfect amount of coverage...I would claim this a Medium coverage *)

I think it might be French “Beige Fonce” which (I think) means dark or deep beige.
