I decided to pull on her just because I am a 6-month player, and still missing some units and recent banners are a good spend of my free CS due to a combination of bonus+L/S bumps for AD+chances at recent units. Overal I used 4k and got her at 4.5, other 4x 5* (repeats on bad units) and a bunch of points on AD mules. I also did a 1x 10-pull on the Betrand banner as I didn't have him (no joy), and kept 2k CS for the future. I have around 5k left on the "easy" CS with episodes and questing I haven't done yet, but I consider my roster decent with the notable omissions of Sesta, Velette and Myunfa, and a few alters that I am bound to get eventually (I do have an NS myunfa, just ZERO operas for her as of yet...).
I tried my luck and got Mazrika Last door in her fateful at my 2 try and got Toova ES at my pulls with Bertrand SA Banner which maxed out her Shadow while getting Nagi NS at First multi for Mazrika and Laclair AS for Bertrand SA Banner Last door.
With my last two ten pulls, I got SA Xianhua and SA Mazrika, and can now farm Anabel's and Yakumo's Memoirs manually. I haven't tested them yet, but if I read the Soulquell mechanic properly, Mazrika offers a lot of flexibility because she can change her water skill to any attack type depending on her buffed ally, and grant Barrier Pierce with her Zone Setting skill. She basically works like Alter Hismena, just geared for Support instead of DPS.
I summoned 3 times on the paid banner and 3 on the free, came up empty. I think my days of paying money are in the rearview. Regardless of which unit is featured I don’t think it matters with so many units saturating the field. Strangely I got lots of purgatory units I already have. Has me wondering if the rate up is just adding a personality attribute to the pull🤔
Will I roll for Mazrika? Possibly but not for the time being (as I only have 3,5K stones at the moment, so maybe in a few days time?). Will I roll for Bernard? No, because I wouldn't be rolling for him but for his starcharts (as I got his 5* version during Ciel Alter's banner) and honestly? I'm perfectly fine waiting a few months. I got her and +16 shadow for Melina in a single free stone 10 pull because I gave in to my gambling addiction. Didn't expect it but it was a welcome surprise. I am mostly interested in Bertrand though. We recently got SA Galliard who is also a earth lance character who functions as a tank. Looking forward to a comparison between Bertrand and Galliard and if it is even worth SAing Bertrand when we have Galliard for free already.
I'll say Bertrand NEEDS a big Miglance character to partner up, and the only one that doesnt compete with him AND doesn't need a specialized team (Miyu/Felmina)... is Deirdre? Maybe offense-stance ES Anabel?
