Gorgeous pillow. Your contrasting yarn adds the pop it needs. I crocheted a backpack using a mosaic stitch in the round however the contrasting colour was solid. I think I need to make my pillow a little smaller but add a matching blanket. MUST BUY MORE YARN! Thanks Annoo for a simple to follow tutorial to add to my collection.

I think the bigger your project gets, the pattern becomes clearer and there doesn't seem to be any guessing of where to put the hook. Your pillow is amazing and beautiful. Love, love this tutorial as I have just been searching for cushion/pillow patterns and l love the Apache Tears pattern.I particularly like the yarn you chose for the pillow-it is just perfect.
I, too, recently found the mosaic crocheters/designers you mention- they have inspired me to learn more about mosaic crochet.
There is another mosaic designer I think you might like; her blog is called Lilla Bjorn ( means Little Bear) her name is Tatsiana. If you like Scheepjes yarn you will like her work... I also learned how to pronounce Scheepjes (Shep-ess) :-)
I think Tatsiana is based in the Netherlands as does another brilliant crocheter called Esther whose blog is called 'It's All in a Nutshell ' - her blanket made of 12" squares with surface crochet is a work of art.
