Halcyon days growing up in Whichford, spent a lot of time at Berry Orchard, farm of the Davis’s. Mary & Walt (siblings) Mary kept houses of chickens & kept us (Harwoods, Newports, Adams’s etc) in pocket money for dressing (table preparation) said chickens & egg grading. Walt also kept us occupied in summer with potato picking, with our wages soon squandered at the village shop on tooth decay 😊
You where very lucky to grow up in such a beautiful place, My great grandfather was living in the village when he was around 5 years old in the late 1800’s, Thanks for taking the time to watch the video 😊
@@robertmcallister6426 That was definitely a done thing back then, first names then being used as a middle name for there children and also they had a lot more children back then, up to 10 children at times 👍🏻
@ I might have to have a look, I tried looking up local information online but didn’t have much luck, I will take another trip there in the summer months 😊
Whichford is a stunning place for an autumn walk, one of my favourite places in the Cotswolds.
Those autumnal colours are beautiful in the woodland 😊
@@IntoMyWorld2010 That was the perfect time of the year to be out on a woodland walk 😊
