I have students who are going back into a quiz form from yesterday. Their progress was saved even though they had not submitted. They are working on it now, but unable to submit when finished--even though I am still "accepting responses." They only accessed the link on Classroom, so the quiz is not tied to that platform in any other way. HELP! They have screenshots of their work, but I want them to be able to submit!
Thank you for this great video, it is very useful. I have set up quizzes on using google forms, however, some students can't access them when others can. I get a notification email saying a particular students is asking for permission to do the quiz but even if I grant it, they still cannot access it. Is there a way round this and make sure the quizzes are always accessible to all students without any of them not being able to access them? Thanks
Hello Themsm21, thanks for your question. I am assuming that you are using your school / university Google account to create Google Forms / quizzes. Am I right?
@@martasm6297 Yes, this is what causes the problem. You see, when you create a Google Form / Google Classroom Quiz using your school Google G-Suite account, by default this quiz will only by accessible by members of your organization. You can change this default option by opening settings of your quiz / form by clicking on a gear icon in the top right corner. Under "General" deselect "Restrict to users in ... ". You might as well instruct your students to use their school Google accounts to access the quiz / form. Let me know know if it helps.

Hi, thank you for this. I would also like to know how to know who did not respond to google form on a certain date? I would really appreciate your answer.
Hello Maryjane and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no straightforward way to know the names of students who haven't completed the form. If you are using Google Classroom, then one workaround is to ask students to mark Quiz Assignment as done once they complete the quiz. This way, you will be able to see whose work is missing. Does it make sense?
Sir I have a question Yesterday while giving my exam I wasn't able to click on the options provided in the question.. Even there was no network issue. In that question I was able to click on option a b c but on option d I wasn't able to.. How to solve this kind of issue
Hello Narayan, thanks for your question. However, it looks like it's a technical issue that I won't be able to help you with. Off the top of my head, I would say it's either a glitch or a network issue.
There could be multiple reasons why you are experience issues with Google Form ranging from your internet connection and web browser to Google services as well. There is little I can do to help you, sorry.

Hi, just had an exam today. I clicked the submit button but then I was directed to another unanswered exam page. The difference in this page was that it wanted me to confirm if I was using our school email and instead of confirming it, I closed the page. I thought I submitted already, but when I opened the exam again, I could access it. I answered the exam again and submitted, but this time it only showed me that my response has already been recorded and that I could only answer once. What does that mean? Which of my responses has been recorded?
Hello, thanks for your question. It looks like your teacher has enabled "Limit to 1 response" feature which prevents respondents to submit the form more than once. From what you're saying, it looks like you've submitted the form the first time you clicked submit.

Thank you very much for your informative videos on Google Classroom. Like most, as a teacher, I am forced to teach remotely from my home using this platform. Although excited, I was unsure of what to do...but now..I have a general understanding of how to start. But, I have one question. I am a class teacher of 19 students. I teacher all students, maths, grammar, spelling and vocabulary, music..etc.. Should I create different classes for each subject or just use one class and organise all classes in it?
Hello Blossom Knight, I'm glad you found video tutorials helpful. Thanks for your question, too. I would create a separate class for each subject you teach e.g. English, Math, Music, Social Studies, etc. Within each class I would create Topics for easier management e.g. my English Google Classroom would have topics such us Grammar, Vocabulary, Spelling. Let me know if what I'm saying makes sense to you, otherwise I can clarify a bit more and in a different way. Can you make a video showing how to assign a form without making it a quiz- then after they have responded make it a quiz and then put in answers and grade? I teach high school and I saw that it is easy to hack Google forms by viewing the code - but you can avoid this by putting the answers in after submissions are closed.
Hello Shari, thanks for your question. Yes, indeed Google Form / Quiz is susceptible to hacking. The method you've described will solve the problem. I will try to publish a tutorial on how it's done.
Thanks for the info. Quick question, if can provide any info that would be great. Students are completing a Google form and submitting but when I check their turned in assignment there is no file/form attached. Any ideas in what the problem could be?
Hello Orlando Garcia, thanks for your question. Students' answers are saved inside the Google Form and not under "Turned in". When students complete Google Form, they do not generate a new file, therefore you don't see anything under turned-in. For example..question number 1 we should do it first then second third and so on. But it different for me. Im done it well, the question were in structured, then i save..later I try to open it but the questions were not in structured. like question number 5 was in the first place the question num 6 in a sec place. It is not relatable. How i can fix that? Im tried to search out to solve the problem but i did not see anyone who solve this problem. Could you help me?
Hello. Thanks for the video. It was useful. However, how can I send graded responses(the individual forms not the scores only) to my students individually . I was able to send their scores via release scores but want to send their friend. Is it possible?
Hello, thanks for your question. You likely have the quiz settings on "Release Grades...Later, after manual review." After you have graded/provided feedback, if you are on the "Summary" page, below the bar graph of responses in the top right above the list of individual students there is a "Release Scores" option. This will send an Email to each student that provides a link to their scored form with feedback. Students will have to click on the link in the email to see your feedback / comments.
Hello again Didit, thanks for the comment. These are simply answers to many questions I have been receiving from the community. By the way, did you see my solution to your "two-line-of-text" problem?
These are the steps: Step 1: type your answer in a word processor e.g. Word, Notepad, etc. Step 2: Take screen shots of your texts answers; Step 3: Trim them (screenshots) if necessary; Step 4: When creating a Google Form, attach pictures (your screenshots) to each answer option. To attach a picture click on a picture icon when creating an answer option. Let me know if this works out for you.
Hi, can I ask a question? I had a quiz just this October 21 and my google form said that I have already turned it in same with a google classroom. Now the thing is my teacher messaged me because she said my response was missing and I don't know why. Pls, answer Thank you!
Hey, there's little I can do to help you because it looks like it's a technical issue. You are saying that the Google Form has been submitted and also marked as done / turned in on Google Classroom?
I have an serious issue which is I had submitted a google form after fill it but now they are saying i have not. Is there any way, by which i can show them list of goole form i have submitted in past??
Hey, thanks for the question. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to see Google Forms that you've submitted, unless the owner of the quiz has enabled "Response Receipts". In which case you will either receive the receipt automatically (if the owner of the quiz chose "Always") or will be able to retrieve it (if the owner of the quiz chose "If respondent requests it). Hopefully, this answers your question.
Sir, today I had an exam I clicked on the submit button after completing my exam and tick marking all the options but after clicking submit the next page was grey rather than showing that my response has been submitted successfully. I asked my teacher and he said that my response has been submitted but when the grey screen had appeared I tried to close the tab. While doing that it told that if I do so all changes will not be saved. So have my answers on the form that I submitted been deleted too?
Hello Snygil, thanks for your question. Normally, when you submit the form the answers are sent to your teacher. Whatever happens afterwards doesn't affect your submission.
as a teacher can i edit google form if i mistakenly havent choose correct answer a while assigning the quiz b/c it is showing my all responces of student are incorrect where as they are correct
Hello Awais, thanks for your question. I did try changing the quiz while it was assigned but not after it was completed by all students. Why don't you give it a try and let me know how it goes?
How can I change the privacy settings of the Google Form that collects the students' responses? My students alerted me that they can see the answers of their other classmates who had done the quiz already. Thanks much!
Can you help me please I already created a survey when i send it to other people it work just fine in google chrome but in safari the question placed on the right side I don’t know how to fix it
One more question sir i want to ask like... If I want to set a paper and wants to give the same paper in different section can i send them that with different link.... If we will do so then it will be easy to distinguished students from different section
Hello Priti SHarma, thanks for your question. If you send the same form to two different classes, two classes will be answering the same form, i.e. answers from all students will be aggregated in one form. This is not normally the case, so you need to make a copy of the form and assign individual forms to each class. Does it make sense?
Hello Rhea, thanks for your question. It depends on the settings of the Google Form. To see who has completed your form, go to settings of the Form (gear icon), then to "General", select "Collect email addresses" and / or limit to 1 response.
Sir, i have a question. So my classes have already done our physics exam on 19th october. There are 31 students in my class and half of the them including me didn't past the test. Then i realized that there are something wrong with our result. So the students that fail the exam has got wrong answer as me in 2 questions (total 25point) (there are 7 question in the exam) . The question were about vector and it was so easy to do actually. So i think it's so weird that almost half of the class got wrong. And then when i checked the wrong answer from one of my friend that failed the exam too, He has the same answer as me! it was exactly the same. And then i inform all of my classmates that fail and they have the same answer too!! So with this i conclude for a while that there are some error in the google form. The teachers shared the same link but we 15 students and 16 students each got different question. When i inform this to the teacher, it turns out that the teacher has been used the same link to another class before, and then he edited the 2 question for our class. So we 15 students got the question that hasn't been edited by the teacher and then well.. we lost our 25 point. But the another 16 students get the question that has been edited and they pass the exam. My question is : Is this actually possible? Because the link is already closed by the teacher so we didn't have any proof (screenshot of the 2 questions) and the teacher didn't believe us and also suspect us that we are cheating from the other class. Me and my friends are so dissapointed. I hope you see this. Sorry for my bad English, it's not my first language. Thank you so much
Hello, thank you for your extended question. You must feel really upset about your situation - it does seem like there has been a glitch in the way Google Form graded your submission. Google Forms do have a tendency to "misbehave" when questions are added to the already assigned form. But it doesn't mean it cannot be done. I cannot take it upon myself to decide who is right in your situation - there could be other factors that you are not aware of which led to your form being marked incorrectly. Hope this helps you somehow.
Good video! However, when I go to view Responses > Individual, there is no e-mail field (like your dropdown list of emails. Any thoughts on how to identify who is the owner of each answer?
Hello Fernando, thanks for your question. To be able to see individual responses and an email dropdown list, you need to go to "Settings" (gear icon) when you're creating / editing your Google Form, then to "General", select "Collect email addresses" and "Limit to 1 response". I hope this will answer your question. Bye!

Sir, I have a question. Yesterday I was giving an exam in google form and suddenly I went offline for 1 or 2 minutes. When I went online again the answers were still there and I started answering the rest of the questions and submitted the form. The question is will the answers which I wrote before going offline be erased by any reason? Furthermore, all the questions were marked as required..So, if the answers were erased by any reason, I wouldn't be able to submit the form, right? I was able to submit the form, thus I think no answers were erased due to the internet problem. Will it be a problem? I'm panicking right now
Hello, thanks for your question. If all questions were marked as required, and you were able to submit the form, then there is no reason to worry. Just to be safe, send an email to your instructor and explain what happened. I'm sure they will be understanding. Bye for now!
Hi, I did a google form for revision purposes for my upcoming exam. There was a essay part where I had to type it out between 5-6 paragraphs. When I type my google form, the form made my text scroll down everytime I type (which is common) but when it reaches a limit where I can no longer type and a text appears bottom mid which says "google.com is not responding" with a blue outline around it only with a X button beside it. When that text appears, I am unable to do anything like go back, refresh, copy paste and more. I dont think ive ever pressed the X button before as I get concerned that the google form will close and I have to redo everything. Do you have any suggestions on how I may overcome from this with a solution?
@@sukhveersinghdhaliwal8958 This is probably why the page froze when you tried to submit it. It's a good habit to type your answer beforehand in a text-processor and then pasting it onto to the Google Form.

I have a question. Is it possible as the creator of the form to edit the form after all the students answered and submitted by adding the correct letter/answer? i forgot to indicate the correct answer when I sent the form link. It's hard to check the students answers one by one so I was thinking if I can edit the form even after they have submitted just to indicate the correct letter on each question. Won't that cause any problems? Your help will be greatly appreciated
Yes, you can edit the form even after it has been submitted. It will not cause any problems. After inserting correct/incorrect answers, I am not sure whether Google Form will reevaluate students' submissions. The best way to find out is to try it and see what happens.

Hello Ram Kumar, thanks for your question. First of all, Google Form does'n have a "Submit" button. In order to complete the form, you simply need to fill it out. There can be multiple reasons why you are not able to access the Google Form sent by your teacher. Could you may be send me a couple of screenshots of your screen when you encounter the issue?

It looks like there is an issue with the device / web browser you are using to access the form. Have you tried accessing the form via Google Forms app?
Hello Michele, thanks for your question. Let me clarify something fist - are you looking to use the same Google form with multiple classes? Or what exactly did you mean by "posting the quiz for different periods of the day?". It will also help me if you can describe what you are trying to achieve. Thanks!
I have a new question. I am a band teacher assigning a google form to record their practice for the week, answering the questions I have laid out for their week. I'd like to assign this every week as a fresh assignment. Currently, students have responded with 3 weeks worth of info but it shows the responses for ALL 3 weeks instead of just the current week. How can I fix this?
Hello Laura, thanks for your question. To accomplish your goal, you will need to: 1) Create a template of a Google Form with questions on your Google Drive. Name it, for example, "Band Weekly Google Form - Template" 2) While on Google Drive, make a copy of this template for each week and name them accordingly e.g. Band Weekly Google Form - Week 1 Band Weekly Google Form - Week 2 Band Weekly Google Form - Week 3 ... You should now have your several Google Forms with the same content (questions you have laid out for the week) but different names. When you go Google Classroom, instead of creating a Quiz Assignment, create an Assignment and attach a corresponding Google Form from your Google Drive e.g. "Band Weekly Google Form - Week 1" if it's week 1, "Band Weekly Google Form - Week 2" if it's week two. This way, students' answers will be grouped together within separate Google Forms. Did I make myself clear? The process looks very similar to assigning the same quiz to multiple classes, which I describe here: ua-cam.com/video/Hgiq0IVbphU/v-deo.html. The only difference is that you assign man copies of the same quiz to the same class. Please let me know if you've been able to achieve desired result. Hello, thanks for your helpful vedio Please, I have a question The number of students in my own class is 200, when I designed a quiz assignment the number of students whose are turn in not matching with the number of students whose are in the responses always the number of responses more compared with the students whose are turn in Can you help me please!
Hello Dani, thanks for your question. The reason why there is a discrepancy between Turn-In and actual responses, is because a student can click "Turn in" without even opening a Google Quiz. Similarly, a student can complete a Google Quiz (answer all question) and not click Turn in. In the first case, Turn-in will have 1, and Google Quiz responses 0. In the second case, Turn-in will have 0, and Google Quiz responses 1. To make sure number of Turn-ins and Google Quiz responses match, instruct your students to: 1) Complete the Google Quiz then 2) Click Turn in I hope this information helps.

Hi, Sir! Thank you for this video. Is it possible to send the scores only (without them seeing the questions and correct answers)? I don't want them to leak the test details. Thank you!
Hello Angela, thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible to release students' scores without jeopardizing the integrity of the test. Follow these steps: 1. When editing the form, click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen next to the "Send" button. 2. Click on the third tab, titled "Quizzes." 3. Turn on the "Make this a quiz" slider. 4. Under "Release Grade", select "Immediately after each submission". Hopefully, this is what you are looking for.
@@edtechii Thank you for your generous response, Sir! But when I do your suggestion, the "View accuracy" button will appear and will still show the questions and answers.

Turn on the "Make this a quiz" slider. 4. Under "Release Grade", select "Later, after manual review". 5. Under "Respondents can see", deselect "Missed questions" and "Correct questions". Hopefully, this will do it.

Am I right?
Yes, we are using our school accounts. Would it be a problem if a student was using a private one?
@@martasm6297 Yes, this is what causes the problem. You see, when you create a Google Form / Google Classroom Quiz using your school Google G-Suite account, by default this quiz will only by accessible by members of your organization. You can change this default option by opening settings of your quiz / form by clicking on a gear icon in the top right corner. Under "General" deselect "Restrict to users in ... ".
You might as well instruct your students to use their school Google accounts to access the quiz / form.

Hi, I did a google form for revision purposes for my upcoming exam. There was a essay part where I had to type it out between 5-6 paragraphs.
To accomplish your goal, you will need to:
1) Create a template of a Google Form with questions on your Google Drive. Name it, for example, "Band Weekly Google Form - Template"
2) While on Google Drive, make a copy of this template for each week and name them accordingly e.g.
Band Weekly Google Form - Week 1
Band Weekly Google Form - Week 2
Band Weekly Google Form - Week 3
...

Hey Sarah, thanks for your question. Have you tried getting help from Official Goole Support page? support.google.com/?hl=en
I just attempted a quiz today which was an auto grading one. Even though I submitted the quiz I couldn't see my answers to the questions while my classmates could see theirs. I don't know what to do now. Do they still have my responses recorded? I even have a copy of my responses in my email.
I cannot answer this question as there are many variables. It's best to reach out to the person who created the quiz and ask them if they have your answers recorded.
Hello! I'm a student and I have this one reoccuring problem. After answering the google form, it would open to a new window that says "response submitted and assignment marked as done." Once i click the open assignment button, the task is not automatically turned in. How can I solve this problem?
Hello, thanks for your question.
Indeed, you need to manually turn in a Quiz Assignment on Google Classroom after you've submitted the Google Form which is attached to this assignment. It's not a glitch - simply the way Google Classroom works.
Does it make sense?
Thanks for video! I NOTICED SOMETHING UNUSUAL last week: 18 students completed and submitted the quiz, which goes to my Drive. When I open the copy of the quiz that I made for this group on Drive, it opens the Google form and I can see that 18 responses have been submitted. But when I view 'responses', all grades are 0/100. I tried to find out what the problem is or identify my error, but I can't figure it out. Later, I opened the same link I gave to students and completed the quiz and submitted it myself, and my score displays correctly (ie. not 0/100). Any idea of what's going on here??
Do you mind sharing your quiz with me? So I can check it out?

Sir , I’ve tried to send my answers and a image but unfortunately for the 8 th times it’s not working .. it just says something went wrong . Another question is that does copy paste disable one to submit the google form ? Thank you sir
Hello, thanks for your questions.
1) Importing images as answers is tricky on Google Forms. Images will be uploaded to the form owner's Google Drive. Respondents (you) will be required to sign in to Google when file upload questions are added to a form. Were you signed into your Google account when completing the form?
2) Yes, there is way to disable quiz takes from copying and pasting into the Google Form.
I hope this answers your questions.

Hello, thanks for your helpful vedio
Please, I have a question
The number of students in my own class is 200, when I designed a quiz assignment the number of students whose are turn in not matching with the number of students whose are in the responses always the number of responses more compared with the students whose are turn in
Can you help me please!
To make sure number of Turn-ins and Google Quiz responses match, instruct your students to:
1) Complete the Google Quiz
then
2) Click Turn in
I hope this information helps.
Much thanx for your helpful answer
