I was born in Salisbury at the end of '72 and dragged to the UK by my parents at the end of '76, so I know very little about my country of birth. As a foreigner from a far land and living in South Africa for 40 years now, your historical recounts are invaluable for me, as schools in my country didn't include the fascinating details you are sharing.
