You don't always have to read people their Miranda rights, even in the United States. In my episodes I never read their rights unlss the guy is confessing. Plus he's playing as a different country, maybe they have different laws when it comes to reading Miranda rights.
Some cities in the U.S. you ONLY read Miranda rights if the suspect wants to confess right there on the scene or YOU are the one conducting the investigation and not a detective later on.
