I absolutely love Pete’s lessons on prayer, i first herd of him when some how I stumble on the prayer course, and found it simple but deep.. this talk on hearing God was awesome. I pray I receive my hunger back to hear from Holly Spirit.
When I feel that I have lost my hunger Psalm 51 brings me back to the truth of God's "grace and truth" (John 1: 17) in particular verses 10-12 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51: 10-12 Rejoicing in the old Calvinist irony that the Perseverance of the Saints is in actuality the Steadfastness of God. Our feelings are not the truth; God's word is the truth: whatever you feel, God has not deserted you. Your sense of loss which creates in you the hunger to call out to God will bless you with a renewed intimacy with God. Jill Briscoe (Telling the Truth Ministries) talks of God playing a spiritual "hide and seek" where He wants you to seek him and be rewarded with an increased knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is and who you are in Christ. (Ephesians 1: 17). Ask God for yourself; ask others to ask God for you; receive freely what God has provided for you in Jesus Christ. And Praise Him May God refresh you anew in His Son and His Spirit Hallelujah! He has done it! Amen! Watchman Nee's great exposition of the first 8 chapters of Romans called: "The Normal Christian Life" is great in its teaching that we Christians too often ask for what we have already received. For this and many other great teachings it is worth a read or reread. ua-cam.com/video/oRIG1xeQEg4/v-deo.html
Thank you Pete Grieg. The Holy Spirit was really there with me while you said a prayer at the end of the video. 🥰😊💕💖 Thank you Holy Spirit. 💖 Amen. 🙏💕 Thank you Jesus. ❤️
Thank you for helping me better understand the most important thing I'll ever do! I think about "how I hear God" every day since listening to your book. Your book reminds me to focus, with my head and heart, on what matters. Yesterday, in a moment of muddy hearing and blurred vision, this video helped me clear my ears and cleanse my lens. Again, thank you. It felt good to hear God's voice through yours, Pastor Pete.
The John 10 passage is about the call to salvation - those whom the Father gives to Jesus hear him and follow him. We don't listen now because it is all in God's word. We listen by reading the Bible.

@@daviscm100Rohr embraces a lot of new age teaching and welcomes anti-God and anti-Bible doctrines. My friend who is rapidly falling away from the faith counts Rohr as one of his main "teachers"
@@bradleygetz5290 thanks for the heads-up. Praying for your friend. There's so much deception in the world. Those having the pulpit and platform better be very careful in what they promote. Thanks for the input.
Denise, I’ve read a number of Rohr’s books and my faith is as strong as ever. I agree that he’s very ecumenical- but that doesn’t mean that I need to be or need to follow everything he says - learning discernment is crucial.
Great words of encouragement to hunger for God’s Word!!❤ Thank you Pete!!
God speaks to us through His Word and His whisper.
Thank you so much for making these talks available here on UA-cam.

Wonderful message ❤️
Great message, but was really shocked to hear the mention of Richard Rohr. Can only assume it was in ignorance.
Calvinists and cessationists do hear voices. But only from
other Calvinists and cessationists.

I am astounded of the continual flow of false teachings!!! And the people that soak them up AND defend their holy cow!!!

@@daviscm100well what this man is all about ‘hearing gods word in a whisper’. Is not biblical. He is teaching a false doctrine.
